Tip Top in Dundee City

We have had two meals from here recently and we found very good. Chichen and mushroom curry , tasted good and containers were full to the top. The fried rice was fresh and beautifully cooked , not like most take aways where rice has been re heated or in clumps. Also had the best prawn crackers, all whole and not in bits.We would recommend trying this Chinese, and we will definitely come back.

Had the Beef and mushroom,beef was grey and the sauce was grey and slimy too.....did not enjoy!

Just got a meal from tip top have to say the worst curry iv ever had from here the curry sauce was so watery what has happened this used to be a fab takeaway won't be back 😫

Has to be the best Chinese in Dundee, small family run takeaway. Don’t deliver as they don’t need to, and like I said it’s a small place. Chicken chow mein amazing also the curry sauce is old school not spiced up like lots of places now. Amazing every time

Food is always great. Its the only Chinese we will go to in town, food is brilliant and always hot when picking up.

Been going here for 40+ year's. Was the best in Dundee by far. Had nothing but bad meals since Sam isn't here. Sad but definitely won't be back. Mediocre at best.

First visit not great.Only went as it got 4.6 out of 5 star reviews. Chicken sweetcorn soup OK springroll tasted of curry,crispy shredded chicken hard meat and strange sauce. Not going back,

Never thought I would give this review about tiptop a takeaway that has been one of the best for many years. I noticed last reviews were 2months previous. About a month ago bought curry for my partner and I we were disappointed as there was literally no flavour thought thats unusual . Went for a curry again tonight to get yet again a flavourless curry. So after so many years will not be back.

Chicken curry is the bomb, chow mein also top drawer.

Good Chinese takeaway serving many dishes,found it to be fairly busy which is always a good sign, I will use this takeaway again soon.

Food is delicious and the man in charge (Sam) is always polite and courteous. Organised ordering and fast service.

So disapponted tonight havent been to Tip Top since lockdown was so looking forward to it but couldnt eat Chow Mein was gloopy and no flavour, not like them at all! Love it here, ended up in the bin.😣 Hope it was just a one off.

Having to wait outside after ordering by phone isn't good. Think they should come up with something to sort that out. Food is very good albeit a bit cold by the time we got home which is only 2 minutes away
