Thunderbird Fried Chicken in North Devon

We loved the food and presentation and the customer service was exceptional, we were served by a trainee and a young woman who was supervising her, and doing a cracking job. A very positive experience, thank you.

Lovely bucket of chicken to share with the family, really nice succulent pieces and good chips. Sauces were good as well.

Don't bother wasting your hard earned cash on this over priced food. 2 measly goujons in a burger for over£7. Go to south16 and get a proper chicken filletburger for less.

Awful waste of money. 4 tiny burgers with 2 small fillets in them for £7.50. What an absolute rip off. Not enough to fill up the kids. Will not be back.

This was a real treat. If you wanted to eat in the area was modern and clean but the chicken was the true star. Really surprised at the size of the chicken strips and they tasted fab, certainly gives KFC a run for its money.

If you love kfc, walk past kfc and come here . Better tasting food also not as greasy. Clean and tidy inside. One of the highlights of visiting the beautiful beach that is croyde :)

Had the wings, tough, dry, overcooked and not much meat on them at all. Staff didn’t seem to care at all when I raised this with them, won’t be back.

We used Thunderbird recently at the 02 and loved it so we were happy that one had opened here. The shop was spotless clean, the staff were helpful and the food was absolutely piping hot and tasted lovely. I recommend the bucket meal and we also got the loaded fries. I think that thunderbird is better that the usual big chicken brands!!

The first time I visited this outlet, it wasn't until I got back to my tent that I discovered that the chips had been literally smothered in salt, to the extent that I had to brush it off all sides of the chips before they were edible. The second time I specified "no salt" when I ordered, but that really shouldn't have been necessary. Also I found the coating on the chicken was soft, rather than crispy which was a bit disappointing. The prices were substantially higher than the old chip shop at Ruda (over £10 just for a chicken burger and chips) but at least the chips were better quality when they weren't coated in salt.
