The Yard in Barnsley

Place lacks atmosphere. Staff pleasant. Service good. Food acceptable. Worst thing, card payment only.

Called in to give it a try noticed it was open until 9pm which is good if attending anything at the Civic I would think Was just having a coffee as it was nearly tea time we were easily encouraged by a member of staff to have a sharing platter . So my husband and I both had a mock tail each and then had a coffee which was a lovely coffee Very friendly staff and clean will call back again Great to see a place that you can call in for a snack , cake and drink that is open after 4pm as most places seem to close by then I understand it’s just re opened again

Over the past few days I’ve found myself automatically gravitating towards The Yard. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and polite and the place itself is absolutely stunning. I really really love it. To add to it the food is absolutely delicious, on Monday I had the caprese flatbread which was absolutely delicious and today I had the mixed sliders which were honesty amazing. So tasty and such good quality products! Love love love it!

Brought to you by the people who own Old Greorge....we now have The Yard. It has only been open a few days so thought we would try. Really great and relaxing atmosphere and great staff. Good selection of drinks and menu to suit all tastes including vegan options. Staff try and get as much of the food and drink locally and reduce their plastic footprint which is great. Food we had was filling and tasty, presented beautifully and would have no hesitation to recommend the place.
