The food was beautiful and hot. The roast was super yummy. The ice cream glass was frozen. The little things done well are no small thing in this time of poorly chain pubs. Great friendly service. Accommodating our dog. Couldn't recommend this independent well run local pub with great food more.

The roast was absolutely delicious and we got pigs in blankets. I didnt have dessert but my friend had apple pie and loved it. The staff were super friendly and attentive. I will definitely come back again. Edit - I did go back again and was disappointed as I had enquired before to check they were showing the rugby. They were only showing it on a small screen, next to the toilets, with no sound on. In addition the Jerk Chicken pizza was so bland and dry. For live sports and spicy food this pub seems lacking.

We came to the pub for Mother’s Day. The roast was unbelievable! The yorkshires tasted amazing, herbs and seasoning on the veg was great too. I had the lamb and it’s the best lamb at a pub roast in a very long time. The pub was extremely busy- as you can imagine, however the staff were very intentive and asked if we needed anything many times. 100% would recommend.

Sadly, it's not the experience I was hoping for. Food wasn't to a good standard or presented well. Disappointing and wont rush back.

Such a wonderful, friendly locals pub where the staff go out of their way to make your visit a pleasurable one. The food is amazing at a great price with offers throughout the week. Excellent lunch, we both had the Thursday rib special at £10. The service was superb matching the quality of the food. Great background music, not intrusive but adding to the pleasurable experience. Highly recommended.

Not been in here for a while so thought it was time to check it out. The service was excellent, very friendly bar staff. As a whisky drinker I was pleased to see around 20 whiskies from around the world, scotch, Irish, Welsh, American, Japanese and Indian. I settled for the Indian, Amrut at £7 a measure. A lovely floral whisky which you rarely find in a pub. Will certainly be returning.

We’ve been looking for a place in Enfield/Winchmore Hill where we can eat a properly home cooked Sunday roast. Finally we have found it! The Winchmore serves delicious Sunday Roast. I had the roast lamb. Others had roast chicken and roast beef. All equally delicious.

Great pup, lovely atmosphere Every one very helpful and kind. My wife and.i always visit at least 3 to 4 times a week during our nightly local walk. We tend to use it mainly for drinking, but we have plans to change to a mixture of food and drink. Edison

Amazing food. Friendly staff. When I booked a private party, the place was dirty and we were o nly given 1h to decorate. I was told there is another party before us but that was a lie, as the place was clearly unused. Dirty and extremely cold. Once I raised the issues a few times, everything got fixed but it wasn't nice to arrive and see this first thing

The Lamb sunday roast was great. The Atmosphere is wonderful. Love it.

Great local pub. We went for Sunday lunch. The pub was absolutely packed to the gunnels but the service was excellent. The staff must be exhausted by the end of the day. The food was good. We had the Sunday lunch for people who cant decide, and it was very good, and very filling. Not one for the feint hearted!!

We had our daughter's 7th birthday party upstairs last Saturday - the staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful and made the whole thing as stress free as possible. The fact they were hosting eight parties on the same day tells it's own story - a terrific, well run pub and thoroughly recommended if you're looking for somewhere to host your special occasion. Oh - and the kid's pizzas were great too. I know because I ended up eating a few slices! Proper pizzas from a proper pizza oven.

Was at a private function in room upstairs. Didn't use catering of pub Football fans when I was leaving made it a tad difficult

Really nice for the private party I attended in the conservatory .it was a cold day so a bit chilly to start..soon warmed up with really cute tasty food.tiny cheese burgers. mini kebabs .small gourgon and chips . Served In stages to accommodate flexible guests..really nice

Shame owners dog did big poo by our table ...made a few of us feel sick and others laugh...unhygienic . To be fair to have dog begging at a works party was unacceptable

Well this is one definitely to come back too. Had the Sunday roast Lamb leg with all the trims for an absolute bargain. It was delicious. The best by far this year. For me a well deserved 10. My dog was welcomed and the atmosphere is excellent. Sorry only an empty plate to show

Ordered roast beef. Meat wasn't the best. Sliced too thin, big Yorkshire pudding and potatoes to make up for meat. Two separate kids parties that ruined a peaceful lunch. It is a family pub and this is my personal opinion.

Классный паб. Чисто британский. Одни белые кругом. Бухие, веселые, собственно как и я. Набор стандартный по меню, пиво как и везде (реально свежее). Нахрюкался я там ровно. Без блажи и мордобоя. Официантка улыбалась (верный признак того что я был в адеквате). Заказывал пиццу и потом ещё закусок горячих (куриные крылышки барбекю, сыр жареный во фритюре, кальмара в кляре, картофель фри и немного зелени. Все довольно аппетитно. П.с. нечаянно брызнул струёй мимо унитаза, да простят меня хранители паба, но я был в зюзю.

Great roast lamb and dog friendly.

We had lamb pie and steak and guiness pie. Both came steaming hot with mashed potatoes and gravy with kale and broccoli on the side.. The meat was very tender. Delicious. Add Guinness and football and we had a perfect night.

One of the best roast dinners I’ve had in a long time! Guy was serving he went above expectations! We will be back!

Mark the prior owner used to encourage the old staff to harass me the 125 bus because I stopped going to the pub. The police have also told me Elly stole contacts off my phone when it was charging behind and the bar. I will sue this place and involve the police for this. Mark also gave a bogus statement to the police in support of a security guard who had harassed me for a period of eight months which be readdressed by the police and in court of law. Now days they keep on making the "accident" on putting in my pin twice when it says waiter ID on the pdq. Avoid

We booked the Winchmore for a private party. Everything was perfect. The food was great, the service from the staff was exceptional and we had a great evening. Kudos to the team!

A very good lunch. The salt and pepper squid was excellent as was the burger and portions were generous. We will be back!

Update: I did come again and was a bit disappointed this time. The parsnips were uncooked and inedible. The meal came with a drizzle of gravy. We asked for more gravy and we got an espresso-sized portion. Why so stindgy with the gravy! If you gave more I might not have noticed how dry the Yorkshire pudding was. Nonetheless, the atmosphere is nice and they’re dog friendly. Their roasts can be good but they need more quality control. Surprising good roast dinner. I would come again.

Went to my best friend's engagement party- The hall was upstairs and was very nice. Didn't smell of alcohol as I expected which was very good and the bartender was very good with our drinks. Good size hall could easily fit 100 people and a cosy layout!

Busy pub, lots of groups in families, friends, good range of beers.

Visited for fathers day and they had a Sunday lunch menu with roasts, pizzas and starters. Vibe is very family and sadly the exterior looks a lot more upmarket than in the interior as there are rips etc on the seats/booth.

Stopped here for a drink and a bit of lunch. It was really warm so sat outside, which was really nice. The drinks were a bit price, but the food was really good and reasonably priced.

We've enjoyed several fantastic Sunday roasts at the winchmore - the quality of the food is fantastic and the service has always been welcoming and friendly. Even better, we discovered they started early on Easter Sunday to cook roasts for the homeless. What an asset to the local area. ❤️

I was promised a ready made order at a specific time and received an answer of 'still need to wait for another 5 to 10 minutes' when I got there! I needed to take the food to a football pitch at certain time as the players was going to have further training after the food. Very disappointed with the service I received. Also the attitude of the young female waitress was very cold and unwelcoming. The food was average. Not recommending!

We had Mother's day roast dinner which was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. They gave all Mother's a gift of a boxed engraved wine glass which was a very thoughtful thing to do. Thank you

Starters 5/5 the halloumi sticks are to die for Roast beef 3/5 needs improvement for sure and a bigger portion. Beef had a lot of fatty bits so the amount was very small as lots went to the bin Dessert 4/5 Water glasses and hygiene: need to be changed as they have marks on them! Atmosphere: fun, Mother’s Day had live music and they gave us a gift which was a beautiful touch Prices: not cheap for what you’re eating. Desserts definitely are not worth £7 each for the quality Overall: some changes could make this place 5/5 all in all and the place that everyone talks about. I gave 4* for the starters and atmosphere

I was driving and looking for a place to eat when I drove past the pub and decided to try it out. I found a parking space on a street nearby and parked my car there. I had just finished a dental appointment and was very hungry 😋 I walked to the pub and was greeted by a friendly waitress who led me to a sit and gave me the menu options. She ran through the specials and asked me what I would like to eat. I placed my order and then she asked if I wanted a drink. I asked for a cup of cappuccino which was brought promptly. I had ribs and sweet potatoes with coleslaw which was so lovely and tasted so good. The coffee was lovely too and the almond biscuits were lovely too! I asked for another one and the waitress gave it to me for free! My experience was so nice and I will be returning with friends and family. The ambience was cool and relaxing 😌 A dog was sitting around me but I wasn't sure if I could pat or stroke it so I let it be. It looked friendly. My impromptu visit was worth it. The meal wasn't expensive and I was very happy with the service ☺️

Nice friendly pub for Sunday lunch

The food was unfortunately over priced and lacking all the ingredients which I wasn't notified of and was quite disappointed.

We was in the area to watch the masters and needed some lunch before the evening match. We originally booked elsewhere however they had to close due to an emergency. We went for a drive and came across the Winchmore just hoping to grab anything available. Straight away we were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. We obviously hadn't hooked but a table was found for us in an already busy restaurant. Once seated we were served promptly and both had a roast. 1 lamb 1 sirloin. Wow it was the best roast we had ever eaten we was completely blown away it was perfect. Will most definitely return! Thank you to all the staff and chefs

Went for a Sunday Roast. They have a great meal for 4 which had generous servings of potatoes, carrots parsnips and greens alongside some well cooked beef and giant Yorkshire puddings. Very reasonable and lovely atmosphere.

Good food, but service was non-existant. The only way our group could get any attention was by repeatedly going to the bar and asking them to send someone over to the table. So we cut short our stay and went elsewhere to finish off the afternoon.

We booked the private function room on the top floor and also a room downstairs for a board meeting. Brian and Carla are both really helpful, they went the extra mile for us we were so grateful for their help organising and running the special event on the night. Really enjoyed the food, the rooms worked out brilliantly, lots of comments from people about what a great space it is ... and Carla and Kai and team were so helpful in the set up and in welcoming guests and keeping them topped up with food and drinks. Brilliant job.

Don't order the cod and chips. I was served with the tail end of cod rather than the meaty shoulder. Poor value. Buy your fish and chips from a chippie

The back of the pub is a bit soul less. But the staff were good and the manager was attentive. I hope they have a good Christmas and New year's trade. Local pubs need our support.

Been a few times now for a Sunday roast and it's become my go to for a Sunday roast. Very good toast dinner which is hard to find, but we have found it now. We had relatives over on Sunday 30th and booked a table. We opted to try the family sharing platters and it didn't disappoint, plenty there and the flavours were exceptional. Thankyou for making the day special for us.
