Spme reviews are they sure they went here to eat, ive been calling in here one to three times a week its the only one we go to now used to to go departure lounge but it got way to expensive, the new people here are ever so lovely , polite ,sociable 100% more than the other owner who never spoke to you ,They have new lovely tables here, the ladys husband who cooks most of the time he brings the meals out we have neve had any trouble with our food and to the person who said there cheese on toast is to die for me too i love it its moreish , so the couple who own the v grill so lovely , lady usually on till ever so lovely too xxxxxxxxxx try it for yourself xxxxxx to the three of you your brilliant keep it up

One of us got a breakfast which is standard you would expect, nice. I ordered a chicken kebab with rice and salad, it took a while to arrive but was absolutely delicious! Well worth the wait, reasonably price and the staff are lovely as always.

It's great they do a great all day viking breakfast and a Viking longboat breakfast. I recommend

Overpriced and poor quality food. Nice service. Spend nearly 60 quid for disappointment. Forgot a breakfast off our table.breakfasts were OK n hot. But pancakes were 3 tasteless scotch pancakes, burnt bacon or sauce/ chocolate with a small banana for over 4 quid each. Had 1 of each n was disgusting. The burger n sausages was very cheap meat. 3.50 for a bowl of chips is extortionate. A milkshake 3 quid for a glass, won't be back. I understand inflation but this isn't inflation it's greed.

Staff is very friendly, food was ok, cafe very clean.

I have been once and would never go back again

I've never had such an awful breakfast anywhere till I had a Vikings breakfast. Deep fried sausages microwaved! That truly takes the P. Black pudding was so hard there's no way a knife could get through it. The rest was no great shakes either. Left the lot. Waste of money. Staff are as gloomy as the grim reaper.

I love the gravy and chips which both me and my wife love, and the coffee is great also. Staff is amazing as always

Never been in just walking past

Started using the viking grill about 3 months ago, and the food is great, I like an almost full English on a barm, and it came with none of the grease you usually get from lesser places, you can taste the well cooked food in every morsel it's, Fanbloodytasticly enjoyable . A spotlessly clean place, served by really friendly and chatty staff, try it, you'll love it. Thanks Dave xxx

The sandwich was fine but I made the mistake of ordering a coffee without checking the price, £2.45 for an instant in a polycup, should be about £1.20 max.

I don't eat there now. I didn't like the food but the staff our lovely

Overpriced mediocre coffee. Had to call a member of staff away from a conversation with others to get served. Won't go again

We had lunch here following a busy day Christmas shopping. There is quite a lot on the menu but we went for the Omelette's which was delivered quickly to the table. The prices care reasonable and the service was very good and the place was clean and well cared for.

My husband and I called in for a lunchtime snack, glad we did The cafe was clean even though quite busy Their cheese on toast is so good The staff enjoyed a bit of a laugh and was very pleasant

Although staff are ok food left a lot to be desired. The bread the toasted sandwich was made of was hard and inedible. Little bit of cheese in middle wasn't melted. Left more than we ate. Teapot leaked all over the table. Time before there was eggshell in my scrambled egg so sent it back.

Just had the long boat breakfast. It was amazing. Very well cooked. Enjoyed every bite. Staff are friendly and it's a lovely little cafe.

I go in here most times I visit Widnes which for a resident isn't that much but usually once a month. Staff are great, food is always quick to your table and the prices are reasonable.

come here. with kids. got a cheese burger it was awful really thin and burnt. just a cheese slice slapped on not even Melton. the bun evwn looked a mess.i had to spit bits out. cause it was full of fat and hard bits in the burger.x they have snacks on the side very over priced .crisps from aldi that sell for 89p for a pack of 10. being sold here 50p each. staff are good.

Was ok vegetarian breakfast stingy though

nothing special at all, traditional english food but at expensive prices. In my opinion it is a place to avoid.

Love the food here and the staff are friendly. Always seems to be expensive when we only get 2 meals and 2 drinks.
