The Tipsy Gypsy in Ards

Visited with my husband and daughter to celebrate the end of a levels. Interior is beautiful, cocktails amazing, staff so friendly and attentive. Really good menu available, with more to follow! Totally recommend - we will not be strangers!

Was in yesterday for the bottomless brunch which is 35 pound per head for two hours n it was brilliant, food was good cocktails were great and plenty of them.. They really looked after us well n didn't rush us out after the two hours in fact we ended up having another cocktail at the end of our time.. We will def be back we'll worth the money..

Spent Saturday afternoon here being treated exceptionally well, a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival and nothing too much trouble. Great conversation with owner who made us all feel so welcome. Will definitely be back. Thanks to all the great, attentive staff.

We were in yesterday to have our annual Christmas dinner. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Cocktails were great. Staff was really funny and friendly. Considering the circumstances there were doing an amazing job. I would definitely go back.

Food is very different and totally delicious. Amazing cocktails. Outstanding service. Definately plan to go back after the next lockdown.

Great food. All very tasty. The service less so. Staff really friendly but we had to prompt them a few times. Good value as well. Will be back.

Had already had a take out from here before they had indoor seating & was impressed so then came here with my other half & a friend as a birthday treat. Shown straight to our table & drinks order taken. Good selection but we did spy brew dogs on the counter that weren't on the menu. Food was good, came quickly & good price even when not on 50% off. Although food was good, I thought customer service could be improved, I had a phone call about 9.30 that night & a voicemail left to say to call back ASAP to settle my bill as my card has been declined, I rang back a few times & eventually got someone on the phone & told him I had my card receipt with the authorisation code on it & money taken from my bank but he had obviously got the wrong table as the amount he was questioning wasn't the same amount we had paid. I also had a message on Facebook from the manager the next day saying she would call me around half 3 about how it was handled but I'm still waiting on the call 2 weeks later.......

Considering we are still in the middle of a pandemic. I felt the restaurant was too crowded. Non of the staff were wearing masks, I addition there was a DJ playing which meant that staff had to get far to close to hear orders. Menu is poorly written which resulted in me ordering a meat dish and I dont eat meat..... Service was very poor, we had reservation for 8pm. We were shown to a table straight away, however it was 30 minutes before we got a drink and only at that time did they take a food order, we received starter at 9.15pm..... which I couldn't eat!!! Main course ok, but I certainly will need be going back

Where do you begin? We were seated upstairs which was a rustic feel to it. I honestly dont know what was better, the cocktails, the food or the service. Such an amazing place and the atmosphere is fantastic. Looking forward to going back this weekend!

Me and my partner visited on a dreary Monday night. I wasn't expecting much but this was genuinely the nicest food I've had in years. We were both left speechless at how good it was. The great service and top notch Guinness rounded off a hugely successful dinner. Cannot recommend this place enough. We will be back. 10/10.

2nd visit to The Tipsy Gypsy in 2 weeks ... great street food, good portion sizes and great value for money. Server staff very attentive and nothing too much trouble.

What a great addition to Newtownards, I just LOVE this place. The vegetarian food is superb, you have to try the Cauli Wings and the Jackfruit Nachos, to die for. The Falafel Burger is also amazing. My other half ( nonveggie) loves the JammyBurger and the pulled beef tacos. I love the food, the flavours, the cocktails ( real alcohol involved !), the atmosphere and staff are brilliant. No wonder we've been FIVE times since it opened. TRY IT!

Not a bad word to say about this place, the staff were fantastic and attentive, the food was extremely tasty and the portion sizes were more than we could handle😁 big thanks to Matthew our waiter/barman who made us some fantastic cocktails.👌👌👌 We will definitely be back.
