Excellent food from a great varied menu. The selection of beers and other drinks is also really good. A great place for a casual meal/drink.

Lovely place to have a drink and/or Indian food. It is also dog friendly and they have a great quiz night on a. Tuesday! Highly recommend this place.

Been for lunch and dinner recently. Plenty of space, not overly busy but always people in creating a good atmosphere. They welcome dogs in certain areas of the restaurant and even have a dog menu. Some of the food is great, I think it depends what you choose.

Great staff on arrival, helpful too. Ordered all vegetarian food and overall was good. Only disappointment was chick peas and a paratha made with fenugreek etc . Curry was not as expected and that bread was dry and hard to eat .

Very impressed the bar has a good selection of alcohol free alternatives for adults (that aren’t your usual J20 & sugary fruit juices/fizz, or Becks Blue) There is 0% alcohol free white & red wine - the wine tasted great, and alcohol free beers / fizz too. It was the first time I’d tried it and tasted great and a nice wine (without feeling crap the day after!) It was great to feel included in the social with friends and enjoy glass of wine (alcohol free) and not stand out with a j20 in my hand or Pepsi for once. Alcohol isn’t for everyone, and it doesn’t make everyone feel good - and nice to feel fresh the day after seeing friends! P.s I do drink alcohol - but it’s not for everyone for every social and every outing! sometimes I might decide not to and sometimes I do. My only feedback would be that alcohol free wines shouldn’t be mixed in the same spirit / wine measurers as the alcoholic ones 😉 Thanks Kirkwall Brewery for putting these on the menu - we’ll be back 😊

This was the first time we had been but definitely not the last! Such a great , buzzing and dog friendly environment with great food and beers! We shared a wide range of menu options and for me the highlights were the tandoori broccoli and the railway lamb curry. Great service and can’t wait to return! Only point I would make, is it would be handy to have a brief description of some of the items we hadn’t seen on an Indian menu before.

Always been a good pub but was quiet when I was there a few months ago. However this time it was packed and had great live music (ok, it was my band: I'm a bit biased!). Great selection of cask ales and friendly crowd.

I uses Ibis when I just need a basic clean comfortable 1-2 night stay in a city. But in this hotel, at least in my room, that standard has fallen. Shower was leaking, toilet seat was loose, curtains were dirty with stains, so was the kettle. It is just lack of care and attention.
