Amazing food so tasty and plenty of it. Decor was nice although service was a little cold with not much interaction. Definitely will be returning here.

Ordered and collected a takeaway this evening. Sea Bass was steamed and should have been grilled. Potatoes missing from main dish which consisted mainly of a sauce with virtually nothing in it apart from the lamb. Prawn starter was missing the mango sauce. A very disappointing experience all round. We spent over £40 tonight but we won’t be spending another penny at this takeaway and I’d strongly recommend you don’t waste your time and money. Feel we’ve been treated as mugs.

Very nice find in Street something else than just the usual pub roast. Everything we ordered ( prawn red curry, elephant special starters, spring rolls, friend rice coconut rice egg fried rice )was good. We also ordered the lamb massaman which was a bit of a hit and miss not much flavour other than just salty.And the spring rolls were a bit bland in flavours. Overall good will be back.

Best meal I've had for ages, well worth the drive from Yeovil. Plenty of Vegan options or food which can be made Vegan e.g. No egg. I had tofu shi shu ( I think it was called) and it was delicious, with a decent sized portion. Coconut rice was also really tasty. We'll definitely be back next time we are in the area.

We’d been looking to eat here for a while. Decided to use the app to reserve a table. There was no confirmation sent but we arrived at the time booked anyway.. apparently the request had been seen but not responded to. We were the only two people to sit in and eat all evening (hence, little or no atmosphere) however the kitchen remained busy with takeaway orders. A sweetcorn fritter and a hot and sour soup to start, both very tasty and presented beautifully. Prawn pad Thai and chicken massaman both absolutely delicious. Both presented very well and exceptional in taste. Every single component within the dishes were cooked to perfection, an absolute delight. We hope to return again, perhaps on a busier night or for takeaway. Almost certainly the best Thai food I’ve had! And well done on the cleanliness of the restaurant.. this goes a long way in my book.

Lovely little spot with the best chicken satay, Tom kha fait, and Panang Curry I’ve had outside of Thailand. Wish I lived closer, I love it that much. Very much worth a visit!

My husband ordered a sea food dish which made him very ill when we got home. He said it didn’t taste fresh and left most of it. My yellow vegetarian curry was lovely and I suffered no ill effects.

Ate in. 5 kids and 3 adults. We shared starters and mains. All were really good. We thought that the lamb dishes might havw been a bit chewy which can often be the case, but the curries we had were delicious. Will definitely go back.

We rang and booked a table for a Sunday night recently. We weren't asked for our telephone number. When we arrived, my partner went in first, and a member of staff took us straight to a table - we could choose where we wanted to sit as there were only a couple of tables occupied. The staff were very apathetic and really seemed like they didn't want to be there.. The food was nice/ok. I had sticky rice with my red Thai curry- it came out in one glutinous blob! I've never had sticky rice, so sticky, lol! I wouldn't rush back here. We weren't made to feel welcome. Another customer tried to get a member of staff's attention- he was busy looking out the window instead. So, the customer just got up and helped himself to the napkins he wanted.

My favourite restaurant in Street :) if you like Thai food you wont be disappointed, i’ve been going here for years and never had a bad meal. I particularly recommend the Thai red curry or Na Kra Paw. Recently went for my birthday with a party of 10 and everyone was satisfied. Nice service at the end with ice cream, candles, bailey shots I thought this was a nice touch.

My daughters and I have been here twice and they love it. We've always been for lunch and it's very quiet so not much of an atmosphere but the food is amazing.

I've read a few reviews on here complaining that the food has no taste.... If that was you, get checked for COVID. The food here is awesome. My partner and I have spent time in Thailand and the food is really authentic, tasty and a good level of spicy (medium for the Thai green curry). Quality ingredients with good service. Have visited twice and always left feeling very satisfied, having got a delicious dinner for a very reasonable price. We had a the vegetarian set menu. Very happy customers. We will be back!

A party of seven of us went to dinner last night whilst visiting Glastonbury. Drinks ordered were off or simple drinks not available. Manager was unprofessional and service was poor. When we asked about a dish that we ordered on the menu, he said this was not available. If you are looking for good food and service then I would not recommend going there.

Absolutely the worst take away meal I’ve ever had, terrible. The noodles were one solid mass I had to prize apart like shredding duck, the rest of my food was tasteless and had lumps of what looked like undiluted stock cubes. On top of that I was charged the full menu price despite the 15% off for take outs, I was told it was all ready off. They should be ashamed of themselves. No stars would have been a better option. 🤮

The only reason why I have given 2 stars is because the food is generally good but they are small portions. This is our local Thai & have been using the restaurant for years, although not again! The service i.e politeness of the waiter (Middle aged Thai man) is somewhat arrogant & rude, after receiving nothing but politeness from us. After ordering our food, we didn't receive one of the starters, we left it because we didn't want to be over-full. When it came to paying, the receipt was not shown to us & no change was given! (A tip was expected!) All the way through the meal, we were asked if we wanted more alcohol, when we replied no this was met with more arrogance! Felt like we were totally ripped off & the experience was somewhat.... money grabbing?

Another great night of beautiful food, service with smiles, and a complimentary gift. We left feeling joyous. I can't say that about many places I have been for a meal. Highly recommended

Excellent food, I have been to many Thai restaurants and this is one of the best, very authentic, I order the ‘Pad Guaet Tiew Khee Mao’, can’t fault it.

I've lived and worked in Chiang Mai for 3 years and the food I ordered from Tai Elephant lastnight was a great dissapointment.. Sticky rice was sloppy, Chicken dry, the chicken skewers had to be really chewed like they'd been out for a few days.. Massaman curry and the khao soi was unauthentic.. like no Thai cooking I've ever had.

I hadn’t been to the tai elephant for a few years and wasn’t disappointed.Their covid measures were good with well spaced tables and screens between some tables as well.The service was good and the food superb.We had the mixed starter followed by a variety of different authentic tai curry’s. All were very tasty.Highly recommended

Good Thai food for lunch, very convenient for a break while shopping at clarks village

When first arriving we hadn't booked as I wasn't sure how too, however they were accompanying and found us a table. The waiters were friendly and the manager was super friendly. They took our drinks order instantly and food order quickly too! We decided to get a set menu, which was the best decision! The starters came out quickly and were delicious, I love Thai food and they were the best spring rolls I have had. The mains came out pretty quickly too and due to the set menu there was so much to dip into, every single dish was amazing, so much flavour! Me and my partner enjoyed every bite. We couldn't finish it there was so much food! We asked for the bill and the owner came over and offered us a drink on the house which was very kind, but we kindly declined and paid for our meals leaving a TIP. I wish this was our local Thai place, as I would love to come back! Would defiantly recommend them

Poor dining experience. Would not go again or recommend. Thai food we've eaten before has always been delicate and fragrant. This was not either. Very disappointed.

Just wanted to say what a lovely meal we had here last night. We were visiting the area but always try to find a Thai Restaurant as it is our favourite food and to say yours didn't disappoint is an understatement. The food was exceptional, it was well cooked, hot and good sized portions. I would highly recommend this Restaurant and will definitely return if ever in the area again. Service was good, even though they were busy (except for young man clearing dishes away whilst I was still eating), but did not spoil the night. A complimentary baileys and a bottle of coke due to ours being flat, was greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work.

Great food and service well worth a visit!

We booked a table with friends as part of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. Our friends have experience of authentic Thai food and recommended this place. As other reviewers have said the service was somewhat haphazard, our starters were mixed up with another table and we were repeatedly and insistently presented with two bowls of Tom Yam chicken soup which we hadn’t ordered (actually hilarious), some drinks never arrived and cutlery and napkins were in short supply. That said, the food was excellent. We ordered a dish each and a couple of extra for the table, with rice and noodles. Portion sizes were good, we did finish most of it but practically had to stretchered out! All dishes tasted good, plenty of meat/fish, well spiced and flavoursome without blowing your head off. Stand out dishes were the Black Pepper Sizzling Beef, Duck with Tamarind and the seafood soup Poh Taek (which we had ordered).We had a great night and, although the service was all over the place, the staff were good humoured and did apologise at the end of the night. They were exceptionally busy and the ‘soup!’ incident has given us many laughs since.We’ll definitely go back.

There was more in a fish finger and more banana leaf than the rainforest. Worst meal ever!!! The Jasmine rice was plain boiled pap! Chicken had rubbery texture!

My friends and I wanted to celebrate a birthday and fancied Thai. We made a reservation here and were seated 15 minutes late, and the staff were rude when they took our order, but the food was delicious so we didn't think much of it. However, as we were finishing our drinks not long after they cleared our food they brought us the bill and we wanted to split it between ourselves. They then got really annoyed when we requested a menu to work it out and refused to get us one. They said they needed our table (not politely, at all) - we had been there for under an hour, and they sat us down late to begin with and it wasn't even busy when we arrived! They came back and we again said we needed a menu which they did finally give us one, but they told us we had to leave our table (with an unfinished bottle of wine and some of our drinks were still full!) and we had to all crowd around the bar to pay.At this point it was so busy there was no room for social distancing, although there was hand sanitizer, and when we had to crowd around the bar the staff and other customers had no room to avoid us. There were queues outside too. I am really disgusted we were rushed out of there which was stressful for us, regardless of the discount for eating in to help out. Honestly, I get it's hard times and they are busy and need to make money, but if they had done all of the above with a smile and apologised for making us leave our drinks, then fine, I'd be less annoyed. But I have never been treated so poorly before in any restaurant and I do not recommend this place purely due to the disrespectful and rude staff - I wouldn't accept somebody treat me like this in the street let alone when I'm paying for a service. They treated us like an inconvenience. It's such a shame as they do nice food.

I'll start by saying the food was good.However I have never had such a stressful meal it was like fawlty towers thai restaurant style. We were rushed to our seats by the only Thai looking man there, he threw an extra chair at us, didn't crack a smile at all. Gave us no menus, 5 mins later i have to ask for menus and before we even open he tries to take our drink orders. We order drinks and after asking twice to take our food order they take it. 45 mins later we get given half our starter with no cutlery. We eat it wondering where our other starters are we keep getting told they are coming. Another 45 mins later we get 2 curry's which just sit there with no rice for 5 mins. Confused and then to confuse us further we are then brought our soups with the rice. We have to again ask for cutlery twice. After food which to be fair tasted nice. We had to ask twice for our table to be cleared. A table near us and one of the waiters are then having an argument which leads to the table walking out. I ask for my bill 3 times before im told to come up the front to settle it. I understand these are busy and stressful times for businesses but this was the most poorly run disorganised experience I have ever had ever and we eat out often. I will never return here which is a shame as I have always recommended this place to everyone.

The waiters were not wearing face masks nor face shields. The tables are way too close and no screens provided. They are clearly choosing profiti over safety of the customers and their own staff. Won't be back.

Visited while away for birthday celebrations. We were originally booked somewhere else, but they let us know that they'd had to cancel our booking, so after a quick bit of research we booked in here. To be honest, it was a blessing in disguise because this place was amazing! The food was absolutely fantastic. We ordered quite a few starters to share so that we could try a few things and every single dish hit the mark. The duck with pancakes was fabulous, the squid was amazing and the chicken satay too. The service was great, we were even offered free drinks to top off our meal. Overall we were just so impressed, thank you for a great birthday treat! :)

I have eaten here a lot over the years. The food is always top quality. Staff are super friendly and attentive. It is the best Thai food I have eaten outside Thailand.

Have been many times and never disappointed. Food had always been delicious to the point whenever my family visit they only want to eat here. Eating in is also great as the service you get is always exceptional. Could not recommend more. I strongly recommend the Pla Chu Chi get it every time.

Ordered a takeaway, tasteless, not Thai flavours, using lemons instead of lime, pad thai was like a chow mein, steamed fish was half a fish and lacked flavour. not sure what the satay was surposed to be, but it wasn't satay!Have used this restaurant previously so was very disappointed.

We were disappointed by this place, does not reflect Thailand’s food well, the seafood starter was over salted and very sparse of seafood, the green curry had grey tastless strips of beef in a very sweet sauce, could not taste any Thai basil in it. My partner had a yellow curry that was just OK. The rice was old. Decor good, service very good. Shame about the food.

The decor here is a bit special but more importantly the food and service in this lovely restaurant are always reliably good..

The Pad Thai was good, very reasonable prices, and Nick Cage is apparently a regular! :) Would definitely visit again
