Very nice, not cheap but worth the money (now and then😀).

I actually missed out on the meal ‘out’ here, assuming chief babysitter duties. However, my wife kindly offered to bring me something back from their impressive takeaway menu. My weapons of choice - Fettuccine Alla Norcia with a side of Garlic Bread. In total, it cost around £13.40 which seemed reasonable. Based on the Pasta alone, I’d probably have given a 5/5 rating - it was creamy, deep and full of flavour with the right portion size to make you pleasantly but not over full. Then there was the Garlic Bread. When it arrived in a small Pizza box, I was excited thinking it was a Flatbread or similar. Nope. Three undercooked slices of what to me appeared like frozen Garlic Bread you buy from the Supermarket. I was actually a bit offended in all honesty - £3.50 of good money wasted. Really disappointed. The silver lining here was the Pasta and that’s why my rating sits sternly in the middle.

Amazing food. Friendly service. Prime position. We had a seafood special from the board of Hot Shells. New experience for me and it was gorgeous. Washed down with a cold pint on a sunny day. Will return.

Lovely little Cafe where it is steeped in the history of the grounds with photos etc in the cafe and had inspired us to visit the Castle itself. It is a little drive into it but don't give up, it's worth it. Lovely scone and cappuccino at a very reasonable price. Full lunch menu on offer as well as delicious cake selection.
