The Sportsman in Rossendale

Although it is rumoured to be closed for redecoration many locals believe it will not re-open as planned. This is a shame as they served consistently good food.

Very nice meal really enjoyed it

Despite a request for xtra crispy golden fried foods, the food was pale with soggy bits and oil actually dripping from the paper. This used to be our favorite fish place but we are finding it less and less appealing. We love the choices offered

Popped in here as other places busy. Very surprised at both the quality of the breakfast, the flexibility with substitutions (I swapped tomatoes for fried bread) and the value. One really nice touch was to be offered marmalade or jam for my leftover toast. Food was piping hot, cooked well and high quality. Can’t fault this place. I’ll be back.

Fantastic traditional bar ... made to feel very welcome, highly recommended.
