Incredible restaurant! Food was absolutely delicious and we were offered plenty of free light bites to accompany our meals. Service was friendly and efficient and our every request was met, will be back again soon!

Came here for the first time today. Got a really warm welcome, all the staff and owner extremely nice and friendly. I got treated as a valued guest the moment I walked through the door . Coffee and food really great . There is plenty of room for families and groups and a very relaxed atmosphere if you come here alone.

Amazing lunch today - top quality food and service. Aziz was very attentive. Will definitely be back! So reasonably priced for the quality.

I overheard the manager of this Turkish restaurant offering to facilitate bribes on behalf of my abusive parents to help them get approval on their planning application.

Large group of us came and had a nice evening - food and service was excellent - until payment. Service charge of 12.5% had already been added to the bill due to large group - fine. But when the waiter came with the card machine he took the bill away and then asked 'how much do you want to add?' which confused me. I said that the total shown was ok (i.e including the 12.5%) and he proceeded to type in a number which was a tiny bit bigger than the total of the itemised bill (with service). After that he just gave me the credit card receipt and kept the detailed bill (presumably so I was unable to check what he had typed in). The overcharge amount is not important but the fact they charged twice for service. I see another recent reviewer had a similar issue.

The food is 4* or more however a family dinner at a restaurant needs more than the food On Friday evening the Maitre D' was in a very obvious sour mood, his manner towards staff and ourselves as customers was abrupt, a bit intimidating and almost discourteous. I had suggested The Shish as our venue because it has good reviews. Really disappointed by the bullying tone of the maitre d'. I felt embarassed by the atmosphere that this created for our family visitors. A large non-itemized bill was presented at the end of the meal. The maitre d' seemed very put out when I requested an itemized bill. More than £20.00 had been 'automatically' added in service charges! The young lad who was serving was polite and helpful, but this was completely clouded by his line manager's impatient and hectoring stance towards his team and our family- his customers. Upsetting, and we won't be coming back.

The shish meze bar amazing restaurant delicious food great service this restaurant is the best restaurant in Hertfordshire I really recommend for everyone they do grill fish vegetarian food and all fresh and tasty kebabs fresh salads and fresh and really tasty baklava

I came for a takeaway and was treated with great warmth and kindness. Dervish and Ahmed are the nicest people. The food is all cooked yo order over charcoal, fantastic.

Lovely waiters/waitresses , really good food ! They gave us free ice cream and coffee at the end of the meal which was a very nice suprise. Overall very happy with the meal and experience 😊

The best tasting Shish kebab I have ever had such good service and friendly staff. Will not go anywhere else. Thank you The Shish.
