Couldn't get in unless you've booked or staying in hotel. We only wanted breakfast for my friend's 60th birthday but wouldn't let us in even though it was empty. We won't be back.

Called in without a reservation as we were staying at the Premier Inn next door. Staff got us seated and drinks straight away. Despite advising us that there may be a delay, we were served quickly and looked after very well. The food was great with steak perfectly cooked and the sides really tasty. The staff are super friendly and very efficient. Thanks guys xx

No Food for out of town guests is a discrace!!!

Have been trying to book a table online for last month and seems like you can’t book . Sign on door says staffing issues and only taking booking from people who stay in hotel . Found out that the staff are all being made redundant next month and if they took a pay cut they could keep their jobs . Went in on a Friday night to find out last orders where 20:00 as place was closing at half past. Have been turned away from getting food a few times now . Seems like the owners don’t care about staff . The fact that the Rosebank is opening soon and will bring lots of visitors who will want a bite to eat doesn’t seem to matter . We have left and went over to the Coppertop which seems to be getting all the custom as it’s always full . A few guests that were turned away from beefeater followed us over for food .

Food was really nice. Actually better than expected. The fillet steaks were excellent. Great service too. Logan was especially helpful, but all the staff were friendly. Good value. Would recommend.

I have been here twice with my wife and her parents. Both meals were excellent. The food is fantastic, reasonably priced, and there is a great selection. The service is first class, with plenty of attentive and friendly staff. The restaurant itself provides a welcoming atmosphere just off the canal. Will definitely be back to dine again.

Food is great! Don't understand why it's rated so low. The reason I'm not 100% positive with the review is because it does take a while for the food to come, but it's worth the wait. I would guess it's that they're taking their time to make your meal as perfect as possible. But I would 100% recommend this and if you're nearby and have spare time, stop for some food!

The place was empty and they Wouldn't take any customers without a Premier inn room booking. No wonder places like this are closing down!!! Don't waste your time unless you are staying in the hotel.

Not the healthiest menu I have come across, but the food is ok, I do like the deep fried calamari though. Very nice.

Fantastic food. The gent graeme is a great man. Been there for many years. Our server Marta was very efficient. Clearly great at her job. My gf and I will be returning ASAP, likely this Friday. 10/10

Excellent quality good value meal in lovely surroundings.I had the sirloin steak,which was super tasty,and my husband had the mixed grill,which he said was fabulous!Nice vibe,very relaxed with first class service from Noel-would recommend.

Despite being a chef down, I received a warm welcome from Martin who was able to find space for me despite being booked up. The service was friendly and nothing was too much trouble for Martin and his colleagues. I had a chicken wing starter which was crispy and succulent, followed by a curry and naan. The food was well presented, and hot. You can't argue with the price and service for two courses at 17 quid. I thoroughly recommend popping into this beefeater, and after a long journey like I had, find a decent sleep in the adjacent Premier Inn.

We booked a table for somewhere to catch up with family. The service was great, the waiting staff were great and remembered what everyone had ordered. The food was fantastic, we were all very happy with what we ordered. We would definitely go back.

Popped in on a Thursday night with a few mates for the first time, and our dinner was outstanding. We loved the 2 course and 3 course dinner options, and all the food was delicious. We had the best waiter any of us had ever had in all of the UK, Logan. Not only was he friendly, prompt and helpful, but he was also very proactive. He made time to check on us to make sure everything was great and ask if we needed anything else. He was simply the best, and we will be coming back again and again because of him and the delicious food. Cheers to everyone who works at the lovely restaurant!

We are regulars here ; food is tasty and it's nice surroundings. Staff work hard to provide good service, sometimes challenging on busy nights. We asked for the upstairs area for 15 of us to celebrate our youngest's 18th birthday. Staff kindly set this up with decorations and gave him a box of chocs which was greatly appreciated. Emma and other servers provided very attentive and friendly service & everyone enjoyed their meals. Steaks were great, really succulent & flavoursome. They brought out the cake we provided and we all had a slice with some tea & coffee. We will be back.

Not been for years but wanted to go back March 2024. Must admit food was ok but service was first class. Returned April 2024 and the food was night and day. Really looking forward to our next visit very soon.

I recently had a fantastic experience with Beefeater's customer service team. Their representatives were friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to assist me with my inquiries. She went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, and it's evident that she genuinely care about her clients. Overall, a top-notch customer service experience that exceeded my expectations. Came on for a meal. Staying at Premier Inn. Neil met us at door. Service was very attentive. Good was hot and well prepared. Would recommend without reservation if staying or living in area. Service and food of excellent standard. Thanks Neil! You made our meal with your warmth and attentiveness

We live nearby, just over the canal, and often pop in for a pint or a bite to eat. Visited with family the other night for dinner and feel it’s fair to leave an honest review. The food for me is always decent, we wouldn't be regulars if it wasn’t, and there’s a great selection of beers. Stella, Coors, Moretti & Peroni so I’m sorted. Everyone enjoyed their meals when we visited. The others in the family had a good mix of meals from the menu with desserts to follow. All reported excellent. I had the mixed grill as usual, a mighty meaty plate of sausages, chicken breast, gammon steak, eggs and a small rump steak. I always order that, it’s always spot on but on this occasion if I’m being picky the steak was pretty poor, it was like a big knuckle and mostly fat. That’s a first though to be fair so I can live with that. Anyhow, in these days of poor service everywhere you go I feel it’s right to highlight great service when you get it. Our server, a young lad called Logan, was excellent. Good old-fashioned proper service and the restaurant should be proud of that. He looked after our table really well and fully deserves credit for that. Definitely a great advert for Beefeater that kid.

Eventually got seen and asked for a comfy booth that was clearly not used(as 90% of the chairs were empty) After re asking to sit there,we were left for a few minutes only to be told it was reserved in 30 mins. No reservation card,no people in the place. And after that,nor where we. Not what id expect from a chain this reputable. Thankfully i wont be going back.

Visited today, seated immediately, served immediately, service excellent from Caroline, then a young man took over who was just as polite and attentive, food great, atmosphere about what you would expect whilst eating a meal, 10/10 for my visit.

Stopped here for lunch and thought it would be just ‘ok’. Brilliant service and the 8oz rump was tender and beautifully cooked. Great value for the 2-3 course meal. Complimentary soda water for my wife was an added bonus. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. I even left a tip - which means the service has to be really good for me to do that. Will try other Beefeater restaurants whilst travelling around.

We come here regular and always enjoy the food and the service. The staff are always nice and welcoming. A special mention goes to Emma, one of the waitresses. She's very good at her job and always serves the table with a smile.

My kids treated me for Mother’s Day’s on Sunday. There was a very long wait to be served as they were extremely under staffed and ill prepared for an expectedly very busy day. Poor server was all in a panic and was all over the place as he tried his best. Kids got very bored of waiting for courses which in turn for me I had to do a little bribery to keep the peace. This is where my shock came. Kids menu 3 courses for £6.99 but only if you get all 3! I offered my kids adult deserts thinking I’ll just need to pay for them separately. But be £6.99 for the meal I got a shock to see I paid for everything mains sides juice which came to over £12 each then dessert on top. Kids meals cost me more than the Mother’s Day menus! When I challenged this I was told because they didn’t have kids deserts the £6.99 does not apply. Shocking that you are not informed of this! Definitely won’t be back even though food was lovely!

Visited tonight with my family including my wee girl who is diary free and my wife who is coeliac. The service was great and the food was lovely. Emma was the star of the show as usual. Her customer service is next to none and she is so friendly and efficient. Every time we visit Emma remembers us and takes time to ask how we are. ☺️

Got there ,took 20 minutes to take my order then further 40 to get it ,during which time several other tables complaing about waiting time .Young lad only one serving our area so not his fault he tried his best .Manager comes out with sorry we are busy ,well I'm sorry but it's Mother's Day what do you expect either get more staff or stop taking bookings as all you are doing is losing repeat custom and damaging your reputation .From what I see not one person was happy and unlikely to be back .Ended up cancelling dessert as didn't have time to wait ,to be honest what I did get was OK .WONT BE BACK .If you do plan on going get in early or book a room next door .

Stayed in the premier inn next door for one night. Breakfast in the morning was cooked fresh and I’ve got to say this breakfast was far better than most I’ve had in premier inn type pubs!! Derrick the chef cooked everything fresh and even delivered my bacon crispy as I asked ( the only way bacon should be). The waitress Marta was also very attentive ( service with a smile ) refreshing to see people enjoy their work !!

Popped in initially for a drink with my husband & was warmly greeted at the door by Caroline whom I think was the Manager/Supervisor. I said I had been ill & was on medication & couldn't eat a lot could I order a kids meal if we decided to have food. Absolutely she said, we did order food & it was utterly delicious 2 clean plates & even the kids portion was filling 😋 The place had a lovely quiet atmosphere despite the rugby being on the TV & we had a lovely time. From ordering at the bar, food arriving & us being asked was there anything else that he could help us with it was just a wonderful experience & we will definitely be back soon as we would love to try the crunchie cheesecake but was too full!! 😀

Staying at the Premier Inn, I stopped here for a drink every night bar one, and had a meal here too. I like it. The bar closes very, very early, but they simply don't have enough customers to justify keeping the place open. Staff are very friendly, food was good, but take ID or you won't get alcohol, even if you are having a meal. My niece is 27 and my nephew 24, both were refused service.

Arrived at 8.42pm to be told the kitchen was closed despite last food orders advertised as 9pm.

Lovely meal here when we were in the area. Apple Betty with little pot of ice cream , a bit too long in microwave.However the gammon steak and curry was fab! Lovely team .Clean and fresh.(The food and place and team!!!)😃

Thought I would try for a breakfast with my kids to be turned away at 0930 as no chef and waitress claiming to be serving and cooking. Needless to say first and last time.

Staff are mostly rude. (There was a lovely young man, seemed to be a new start,) The waitress Ignored me and I was standing at the door while they looked and sorted cutlery for 10 minutes. I ordered multiple times? There was no steak, Rump or Sirloin, then there was no Hallumi burger, then there was no sweet potato fries, eventually I got the chicken (£15) and side portion on corn on the cob(£3.29) absolutely tiny portion. I didn't think it was great, i got the refill drink, but the staff were not available to refill. I had to go further out for dinner the rest of the week as it was just awful. I decided to go for dessert one night. Again, same attitude ( again another nice young guy on the bar, the other 2 (male and female)were again so rude) my biscoff Sunday was over half a desert glass of whipped cream. This is not my normal service from a Beefeater and the one I ate at for the full week before was actually brilliant, as is my beefeater at home. Food and cleaning stuff left about and just not great experience. I felt uncomfortable eating here.

First time here for several years. Pleasant staff, great food. Burger was delicious. Steak pie was the best I have had for a while. Price for bottle of coke was very high. 😡 Could do with some background music.

The food was ok limited choice for vegetarians. I chose two sides and fir the price they were small portions! 14 chips on the side of chips! Yes sorry I did count them! Was starving had been travelling all day! The mac and cheese lovely but again tiny I know it is a side but for the price! Husband had a burger and upgraded to the loaded fries again he said nice enough but again expensive. So we had one main course two sides and two diet drinks and it was a few pence under £32! Sorry but nit worth the money. We came out starving!

We had Christmas lunch here and were absolutely delighted. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the atmosphere was festive and buzzy, the staff seemed to have everything under control. The Christmas crackers were as eco as they could be with a lovely wooden decoration inside...

2 hours to get one course.was warm and steak burnt. My turkey was hard round edges. Waiter in kilt was amazing but only so much staff can do when the greedy big wigs expect the staff to run around and do everything with no extra hands

I visited The Rosebank Beefeater for some drinks on an evening and then breakfast whilst staying at the adjoining Premier Inn. The evening staff here are very friendly and very helpful, as too are the breakfast staff where the service was quick and with a smile. I'd highly recommend.

I got fish and chips the fish was tasteless,I told the guty he said ill let the chef know,won't be back in a hurry

Booked 2 months ago for a family meal for last night - 16th Dec. Took 10 mins to get seated as no table was ready. Not very busy either. Took a long time to get our drinks order and food order taken. Took 20 odd mins for the drinks to arrive. Took 40 plus mins further for starters. More cokes ordered which took an unacceptable time to arrive. As a result 2 hours after arriving we left having only had a mediocre starter and some Coke. No mains in sight. Not even half full place. What we had was compted but we were too late to get food elsewhere and too disappointed and fed up. Homecoming and Christmas family meal ruined

Cracking rack of ribs. Well worth a visit.. Breakfast was good too.

They only had 2-3 staff on so service was a bit stressful but the food was nice.

Table of 6, all served randomly, food was barely warm and inconsistent, we arrived Friday afternoon staying next door, but as food was so poor on friday decided not to risk breakfast, tried to get coffees in morning but machine was broken, no alternative offered. Some staff were ok, but many were more interested in socialising rather than working. Poor start to the Christmas season when advertising a Christmas menu, but nothing in stock, yet very few customers all evening. Stayed 10 to 12 November.

Updated to include November 2023. Our service was very slow but my Hallloumi Burger was amazing Updated to include our trip from 19/11/22. We returned for our Goddaughter's birthday. We were looked after by Anne-Marie, whom we all agreed was wonderful, as she had the right measure of great humour and professionalism. We ordered from the festive menu. I had prawns and rice. My friends had steak. The Espresso and Cuddle in the Snow Mocktails were wonderful. We all had Cola and Fanta refills along with chip refills. We had Chocolate Torte, Cookie Dough, Banoffee Ice Cream and warm Chocolate Pudding for dessert (one dessert per person)! From 2020. We had amazing service. I wish I had taken the lady, who looked after us's name. She had a beaded pen and we were a party of 5 in at 7pm with our Goddaughter, who celebrated her birthday. Covid restrictions were in place. Toilets were clean. I had Lamb chops and chips, which were very nice. My friends had a mixture of burgers and steaks. There were both free refills on some soft drinks and on chips and the slimmer chips/French fries.

This is a truly excellent place. It’s not fine dining but it doesn’t pretend to be. We stay regularly at the premier inn next door (we live on the road). We travel 6 hours to get here. We are tired. So we are not in...

BEWARE of this restaurant overpriced garbage i Took my family out for lunch here yesterday and i would say one of the worst I've ever had me and my wife ordered the chicken burgers for main and my wife nearly broke a tooth because of the gristle in the burger 2 minutes later i had the very same experience told the management and she said she was sorry and that she would take the mains off the bill witch she didn't do she actually overcharged us the kids desert was meant to ba a chocolate brownie but was more like a bit of dried out mud that would choke a horse so if you want overcharged poor service and food is simply rubbish then visit this place

Excellent service. I stay here alot due to work and have never been disappointed with the food but today was a bad day. The cauliflower popers for a starter were terrible they are suppose to be crispy but weren't and the cob salad was delivered...

The heating was broken, so it was very uncomfortable. The second day, they found us a portable heater. Food was hot. Staff were friendly.

Our server, Caroline was very friendly, informative and nothing was too much trouble for her. The food was pretty good too. The restaurant was warm and very inviting. We will be back for more soon.

Arrived for a 6PM booking and were ushered to the bar to wait for our table. 20 mins later and no sign of the supervisor/manager who sent us there. Helpful female server saw us to our table and took our order. The food was pretty terrible. Poor quality, small portions and poorly prepared dishes. Far off being worth the price.

Service was terrible, said they were busy but only 1/2 the tables were seated (I would hate to see how the staff cope at full capacity) food was a bit bland for a beefeater, normally very good thats why we pick them, but this one was terrible. We finished our main (and thats all we got) and it took 30 mins for them to clear the table, even though other tables were cleared with in minutes. Will not be back again, used to be a good place not now though.

After a lot of dissatisfied visits, gave it another chance, food was good and steak cooked to perfection, keep up the good work and I will be a regular customer again.

Delicious food, great price, clean, with a good atmosphere and fantastic service! Thank you to Graeme and the other staff member that served us (apologies for not getting her name - my kids loved her snowman top). We will definitely be back here again and would recommend.

Stayed at the premier inn for 3 nights and had our breakfast and a few meals here, they were short staffed but all the staff we met went above and beyond their duties and done an excellent job. We met a lovely fella (duty manager)...

No idea about the food didn't get that far .. we ..my wife and two children arrived at the restaurant waited to be seated for about 5 mins no one came near so my wife went to the bar to ask if we should just sit anywhere she was told no wait to be seated so she ca.e back to the door area and we waited for another 5 mins watching staff walking around but ignoring us I went to the car to get my wallet and by the time I got back still nothing so we left and it was not particularly busy we will not be back

This place used to be amazing but the service and quality has went down massively. The food was bland and cold. Alot of the items were not on the menu. Will not be back.

Almost half the items on the menu were not available" run out". The t bone which was the main reason we visited was not available despite them sending me email almost every day for a week promoting it.

Booked for inclusive menu during our stay at the Premier next door. Despite reservation had to wait several minutes to be attended to & seated. Eventually had our drink & food order taken 20 minutes after being seated. Took another 15 minutes for the drinks to be brought out to us. Food arrived 45 minutes after ordering. Was a good portion.

Waited for ages to get our order taken. When we got our starters they were nothing special. About 20 mins later we were told they had no veg for their veg skewers ?? Took over 30 mins to find out they had no veg? Mains...

We arrived when it was very busy without a reservation. They managed to find us a table despite being fully booked we were well looked after & the food was excellent.

To start with I’m supposed to be here for 6 weeks!!! Cancelled the next 5 and booked another hotel . Turned up for booking time , waited what seemed ages to be seated and the place was quiet…. Ok I ordered within about 10 mins. Then 20 minutes later my drink arrived. How does it take 20 minutes to pour soda and lime into a glass? Then when I got to 50 minutes waiting for food on total I’d had enough . Asked for my bill for a drink and was about to leave when my food turned up!! THE WRONG COURSE!! They’d forgot to bring my starter that I’d ordered!! It’s NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!! The previous visit the night before didn’t help when the food came out flame grilled ……… it was hard crunchy and overcooked!! AVOID!!

Worst night out, party of 15 finally got seated only to be told about third of menu was unavailable and as the menu was about to be changed we could not be guaranteed to get what we ordered. Most orders of what was available served reasonably well, 1 item was requested twice but only one portion was available. 1 person ordered the only vegetarian option that person was up with gastric pain all night. Drinks were not too bad but they didn't have fresh orange juice .Waiters were OK. The meal cost over £200 with a blue card discount. Definitely will NOT BE BACK

Extremely poor service pre booked a table for a large party only to be told that there wasn't enough space to let us in. When, in fact, the restaurant was EMPTY!!!!!! . I think the staff are scared of work. I would recommend going across the road to the copper top where the staff were really friendly and the food was amazing. Avoid this place!!!!

What a fantastic dining experience. Attentive, polite staff, perfectly cooked food (steaks exactly as requested). Brilliant. Now, if the backshift could only have a word with the breakfast staff on how to run a restaurant, it would help out loads.

Went for breakfast ordered breakfast and waited for 50 mins before we where asked if we had ordered. Not the fault of the staff it was just a busy morning maybe if one person was assigned to the door the person taking orders wouldn’t forget to put order in. Overall breakfast was good staff where rushed off there feet so mistakes can happen . Will be back again as food is good . Got breakfast for free even though we where still willing to pay for it

After 6 hours of travel we thought we would make a last minute booking. The starters were good and were really tasty I had Calamari and my wife had prawn cocktail. While the boys had nachos. It was the mains that let it down, the boys steak was cooked to a nice medium and the chicken poppers were cooked as expected. The chicken and ribs were ok - chicken was good but the ribs were overdone and not as tender as we expected. And the surf and turf burger was just ok as I was 1/2 way through it when I found the prawns were cold but I didn't feel I could sent it back as I had eaten most of it. I mentioned it to the server and the most that they could do was offer to heat it again. I can understand that there is a clear shortage of staff and that the team are run off their feet. Let's hope the breakfasts are an improvement.
