The Croft and Creel in Falkirk

Recently discovered this place with friends on a visit to Scotland. Add this as a must do. Giovanna and team were tremendously warm and great hosts. The deer and haggis Wellington is excellent, as was the Cullen Skink. Make sure to finish off with the sticky toffee pudding. Will make sure to visit anytime we are near.

1st class service, friendly professional and discreet. Food perfectly cooked and delicious. Tasteful decor all in all a lovely seamless experience, highly recommend

Came for dinner on Sunday whilst visiting family. Great menu choices with really good selection for vegetarian son. Everything tasty and freshly made. Def recommended

Visited twice in one week because liked it so much. Second time with 6 of us. Chef catered for gluten free no problem. Starters ( scallops, hot smoked salmon etc) very good. Venison wellington was cracking as were the fish and steak options the rest of our group had. Puddings very good too. Will be back next time we are visiting family in the area. Hosts super.

Had a fantastic family meal at Croft & Creel to celebrate my sons graduation. Staff and service excellent, food excellent; especially catering to dietary needs. Really like the menu, a nice selection without being over fussy with quality fresh produce, expertly prepared and cooked. Loved it.

My first visit here . Treating my mother to our monthly dinner date and we were truly treated to cooking and taste of the highest standard . The option of 3 course priced or individual menu suits anybody’s finances. The staff were attentive and very pleasant . I loved the fact it’s not huge and packed out with some of the amazing cornice and high ceilings . My mother loved her perfectly cooked 8oz fillet and we decided to share a bowl of chips , WOW fluffy n crisp not be sharing the next time !. I’m more a pud lover and the Orkney fudge cheesecake left me salivating for more . All the dishes we were served showed the chef knows his stuff . Has to be put in your try list

Croft and Creel is such a gem, we ate dinner here 3 times during our vacation. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Giovanna and the whole crew really make you feel like you are eating at a dear friend's home. The service is top notch. The food...outstanding. I highly recommend anything with black pudding, it's the best we have ever had. The pork with haggis, chicken supreme, and the venison wellington were all delicious. Basically anything with the word "pudding" is phenomenal here because the sticky toffee pudding was worth multiple trips as well. We visit Scotland each year and Croft and Creel will always be on our list of places to eat.

We enjoyed a lovely meal here. I had the fantastic Cullen skink followed by duck breast. The waiter was excellent and the food very good quality.

Visit to the Croft and Creel was excellent, very friendly and helpful staff. Once inside the restaurant is very nice with subtle decor. Plenty of space around tables. Staff were very attentive, nice selection of wines. Food beautifully cooked and delicious. I would look to return on a regular basis.

Me and my husband had lunch here and the food was beautifully cooked and the service was excellent. The menu is modern Scottish food with traditional ingredients. We will definitely be back.

I loved the food here and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The steak and scallops were the best I've had in a long while. It was fairly quiet as it was a weekday, so the restaurant was very quiet, and you could hear what others were saying at the next tables, but that's just what happens. Unfortunately, my mother had too much wine before and during the meal, and so I didn't have a chance to sample the dessert menu. Have mentioned to my partner, and we will definitely come back ourselves the next time we are passing through. Lovely food and great service

Fantastic restaurant! Local produce, amazing bread, super fresh, fillet steak was cooked to perfection as was the scallops, mussels and lobster, mellis cheeses were fab! Only gripe was that there is no beer on tap for hubby, wine was good though! We will be back!

Enjoyed so much last weekend our party of five went back for the Lobster Thursday. Not disappointed on our second visit, lovely food and great service. Will be going again soon as we all loved it and most of the menu can accommodate those that require the gluten free option

Seven of us had dinner to celebrate my Uncle's birthday after he loved it so much back in September 2023 for my 50th. Six of us had starters & we all had mains from the set menu - everything beautifully cooked & presented. Lovely wine recommendation too from Giovanna. The was a first visit and I loved the look of the menu. I remember this restaurant from growing up so was keen to see what the new owners had done with it. My first impression was the decor could do with updating. The starters were nice but a little bit pricey with the mussels being £10 for a very small portion. We had steaks which I couldn’t fault as they were cooked to our liking and well seasoned. Although not outlandishly priced I think if I were to go back I’d try the lunch menu which looks to be better value. I feel that my rating is a little harsh as it is more than 3/5 but not quite a 4/5 but there was no option to rate 3.5.

Just returned from a superb family meal to celebrate my mother and father in laws Golden Wedding Anniversary. There was 14 of us and every dish was first class. The service was great, very attentive. Will definitely come back and would recommend to others.

Had our works reunion there which I organised. From the outset the entire staff were fantastic. The 8 of us all thoroughly enjoyed our food, which although was „fine dining“ was also plentiful and very well presented. Service was „on point“ not too fast, not to slow, and glasses were rarely empty for more than a few moments. This was my third time here, and I’d say this is most likely the best dining you will find around Falkirk.

We found this by chance as we were staying close by and what a find the food was absolutely delicious, I had mussels for starters and I think they were the best I’ve ever had would definitely recommend

Wonderful restaurant to have a meal in food excellent and the staff were so friendly and welcoming with the exception of one chap who just didn't seem to be happy at all tried to chat several times with him but got a very chilly response. He may just not be the chatty kind, but it did not deter from the fantastic night we had. I would highly recommend it

My friends and I are visiting from the states and this is the best meal we have had. 2 of us got the steak and shrimp. My other friend got the ribs. The service was wonderful as well.

Me and my partner have been here several times now and once again have had an outstanding evening at the Croft and Creel. Excellent food and equally fantastic service. Easily the best place to eat in Falkirk and would give any of the top restaurants in Scotland a run for their money.

Booked for wife's birthday on 4th May 2024, excellent service, food was amazing, my wife loves cullin skink, Jack Daniels glazed pork ribs were melt in the mouth, we both had sirloin, scallops and black pudding, all cooked to our liking and perfection. Normally we would have had dessert but we were so satisfied we didn't want to push it. Thank you Croft &Creel we will see you again soon

Have been meaning to try this restaurant for ages and finally managed it…. so pleased we did! Food was delicious (and filling). The chicken was tender with great Mediterranean flavours. Husband said the breaded haddock was as good as he’s had ( and he’s eaten a lot of breaded haddock !) crème brûlée and chocolate dessert were fab! The service was warm and friendly! We will be back!

A great selection of delicious food mostly with a traditional Scottish vibe. The Romanian wine we had was also excellent. The dining room has a great vibe but is unfortunately located on the 1st floor up some very steep stairs with no lift so not accessible to all.

Best meal I've had in Falkirk by far! To be honest it was off my radar, we travel a lot over Scotland and are very critical about food, weve eaten in best restaurants that Scotland has and this was up there with the best, well done guys, we will be back, cant believe there is a place 1 mile from my house that I've overlooked so many times. Lovely traditional restaurant in Falkirk on the first floor. Entrance from the front or the rear car park leads to the restaurant via a grand staircase! Restaurant set in a lovely property. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has a lovely cosy feel. Food was delicious! Highly recommend the Goats cheese starter and Chicken liver pate starter The steaks were delicious! The set menu has very few choices and not nearly as good as sample menu online The rump steak was tastless. Chicken and black pudding terrine was tasteless and seemed over processed. It wasn't expensive

Great lunch venue! First visit to this restaurant today where we partook of the Christmas lunch menu running throughout December. The food was excellent and well presented. The Cullin Skink starter was delicious. One of the best I've tasted. Service was very good. We will return!

Visited for a Christmas dinner with our friends. We all agreed that it was amongst the best we have had, especially the turkey main course. The service was excellent, attentive but not overbearing. We will make a point of returning in the new year. Thanks for an excellent evening.

The Croft and Creel are a wonderful restaurant in Falkirk that I didn't even realise was there. Nestled between busy shops on Grahams road, their welcoming stairwell leads us up to beautiful and simple rooms for dining. Attending a Christmas lunch, I got to see some beautifully presented dishes. I myself had the traditional fayre of Turkey with all the trimmings, so many that there was even a very welcome addition of haggis. Others had beautiful plates with lamb and some had delicious steak. The desserts were magnificent. The chocolate mousse was the best I'd ever had. Other options were boozy Christmas pudding and a giant wedge of cheesecake. I almost regretted ordering the mousse. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, we all felt very welcome. I would completely recommend booking a table with them. They are a hidden gem, situated in Falkirk, just waiting for you to discover.

We enjoyed a lovely celebratory dinner last night at this amazing restaurant. Staff are exceptionally friendly and professional and the ambiance is welcoming. We went for the Beaujolais Nouveau supper, it was great. Food choices were appealing and the food was delicious, service was efficient but relaxed and the wine was fab. And a special mention for the immaculate toilets! The only slight negative was being overcharged on my card (no chance of seeing the total as he took my card and tapped the machine without showing me), it was only 50p so I'm not bothered, but we were already leaving a 12% cash tip, so slightly galling! It was our first visit, but won't be our last.

Absolute perfection, the food, the service, value for money. Everything is perfect. So rare now to find a restaurant where the food and service are top notch but this definitely is one. We loved it.

10 of us dined for my family 50th birthday meal on 2nd September, faultless service which was friendly & attentive but never too much, most of us had starters which were beautiful ranging from mussels, seafood platter & goats cheese salad. I had the roe deer & haggis wellington which was beautiful, other family members had lamb, steak, seabass & chicken. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal & are still saying how beautiful the food was. I was surprised with a birthday cake after our mains had been cleared away so we all had a slice with teas & coffees, my tea came with milk & a slice of lemon which I thought was such a lovely touch! We had wine & beer with the meal, the home baked bread is always to die for & I'm sure we got twice as much as we were meant to! It was our first time back since moving upstairs & changing from Pierre's but can certainly see that it's still as great as always & THE place to go in Falkirk for a special occasion, will need to come along for a Sunday roast soon!

We visited for Lobster Thursday and it was absolutely amazing! Scallops and ribs for starter and then we both had half lobster with steak for main. Dark chocolate mousse and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. All of the food was incredible- the staff were so lovely too! Will definitely be back
