Great pub, great food, and friendly atmosphere, couldn't ask for more.

Great pub and food place. Came here after grandfather's funeral. Inviting and friendly place. Staff and punters very friendly and welcoming. Food was nice and seemed very popular. Great outside area. Prices we're very reasonable. Wasn't from the area and sometimes can be little unfriendly in local bar I find. However this bar was deffo nor like that. Stayed til end of night karaoke was on. Loads of fun. Would love to come back again

Friendly pub with Thursday night quiz. Comfortable sofas in back area. Has a handpump on the bar but never seems to have any real ale. Choice of keg beers and lagers.

Lovely welcome here and really great value home cooked food. I've cold pints too on what was a hot day! We'll be back soon!

Ate there a few times now. Excellent value. 2 for £12 you can't beat it for value anywhere, even cheaper than Spoons! Best chips you'll ever have. Good selection of beer on especially Aspalls 5.5%, lovely cider you don't see many places.

Went last night with two friends. The food was faultless! Steak cooked to perfection, proper home made chips. Prawn starter dish was lovely, huge, meaty prawns! We will definitely be going back, and within walking distance. Very affordable prices. Staff were chatty and pleasant. Thank you!

Quite a good pint actually, nice and clean, pretty cheap aswell, all round was quite good.

Pub was ok had football on (which was good), beer was ok, service was quick I had to drinks and got served straight away.

Amazing how this small local pub can consistently produce such great food at such reasonable prices i personally recommended the snide guys burger with home made chips but everything else is so tasty and well presented too.

A five star, fabulous pub. The landlady has recently started serving food and it's quite literally the best food in the local area. The place has a pub feel rather than a restaurant and so feels friendly and homely. They have 'guest' beers and ciders on tap that change regularly, so always something new to try. There is a large beer garden with both covered and uncovered areas. There is a small car park at the front and some on road parking is often available. There are quiz nights, pub teams for darts, dominoes, pool, golf and more. They have screens throughout the inside and outdoors to show sporting events. This is a truly traditional pub at it's very best.

Decent pint of Guinness but no cask beer - not a criticism as I am aware there is low demand for it in the area. Full compliance with Covid regulations made me feel safe. Clean pub with friendly, efficient service and congenial surroundings.

Jukebox was on loud so was hard to hear conversation (I think with COVID regs at the minute it's not even supposed to be on??) I ordered 2 lemonades, it was bottled Barr lemonade and the bartender asked if I could open the bottle as she struggled... £4 for 2 lemonades is a bit over priced. I could have bought 3/4 2L bottles of the stuff for that price.

Nice and clean quietly situated local bar and restaurant on Bolton old road and the little valley close by for that little bit of country right beside the pub.

Best pub in Atherton! Whether it's the quiz on a regular Thursday or New Years Eve with a live band and the best atmosphere in town, there's nowhere better.
