Super greasy burnt slim chicken stay clear

I was looking forward to enjoying a relaxing cup of coffee at the café, but unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The service was incredibly slow, despite the fact that the café was not particularly busy. As I sat down at a table, I noticed that it was covered in dirt and crumbs. It was clear that the table had not been cleaned in quite some time. I asked for a wipe so I can clean it, but they said they would come to clean it and they didn’t .

Delicious food. Served promptly. I had gourmet burger 🍔 😋 and he had cod pieces and chips.

The slowest service I've ever received. 10 mins wait for 2 coffees and scones. When the scones finally arrived they weren't very fresh. The coffee's and scones where brought over by one of the staff who managed to place everyting on the table and walk away without speak a single word. Not sure if anyone has tried this themselves but it's nearly impossible to do. Well done, excellent service. I certainly won't be visiting again! Edit: Look at the response to my comments, clearly don't care.

Food was nice although some parts were a little cold. This although could be due to the flexible temperatures at the minute

Been here a few times and must say it has very tasty chai latte and cakes. The hygiene when it comes to cleaning tables more regularly could be improved. But overall, I am satisfied. Staff are friendly and attentive.

If you order using the qr code it wants your name email address, why do you need my personal information to order a cup of coffee. Incredibly intrusive and know dowbt those details are "shared" with third parties tracking everything you do online.

Nice afternoon tea. Place needs a good sweep and tidy up.

Awful! Waited in a queue for over 10 minutes not served. Very poor

Lack of staff and staff training means this place really falls short of where it should be. On this occasion, the server couldn’t take a customer’s order because the server wasn’t “allergy trained” and there was no other front of house staff on at the time. It was taking ages for her to serve those in the queue as she was having to take out food and drink orders as well take new orders on the till. Customers were coming back to the till to try and get their drink orders. Feel sorry for the staff as they often look like they’re run ragged. The digital self order menus never work. The food they have on is good quality but there is little Choice in sandwiches. Especially if you’re vegetarian or vegan.

The quality of the chips was particularly poor. A lot were discarded because they were black and earthy

No sandwiches. Didnt have allergy stickers and when i ordered afternoon tea, no scones. Have to wonder what they do sell. Walked out and went elsewhere

It was nice and fast experience. They literally bring your main meal within 5 minutes. Food and staff were awesome.

Very impressed with the restaurant hub, I was a bit confused before going up but it's just one counter where you can order from different "restaurants", and then a cafe counter next to it. There was plenty of choice, friendly service, great value and the food came out quickly and perfectly presented, piping hot and tasted great. Will definitely be returning!

Poor selection of food. Only deep fried food. Only 1 burger choice. Nothing healthier.

Cold inside the cafe. Had Ed's breakfast.1st visit. Small portions for just under£6.00. Not the usual expected bacon, but streaky bacon 2 tiny slices. Nicely cooked egg and hash brown. Sausage dry and burnt on partners serving. Toast burnt butter barely there Asked for no chocolate on cappacinos one still arrived with chocolate. Pleasant waitress. Pretty miserable guy on till. Coffees very weak, like warm milk. Overall for the price £18.70 not value, will not visit again

We went in for the GBK as we know this brand caters for gluten free customers, we arrive and ask for a burger and is there a GF option , the response was no and there is nothing at all On any of the menus GF. I was not sure how true this is or if the lady working wasn’t sure what GF was . Guess will not be going again, shame as feels like it is just not set up right.

I went to slim chickens, food was amazing !! ( as it always is ) staff were so accommodating especially Devon! thank you so much for the wonderful time... we will defo be going back! if you haven't been you need to go !!!

Ordered 2 cod, chips & peas to go. Service was great, although they could not print me a receipt. Got the food home and it was embarrassingly awful. £8.95 each for the smallest, soggiest, battered fish I've ever seen, with semi-warm chips. This was the first time I'd used the restaurant hub, and I will not use it again. Not recommended.

Slight improvement. Food still mediocre. Paper menus are needed. Provide more trays so customers are able to clear their table. Front of house staff trying their best. Making was lovely - helpful and friendly

Terrible customer service at eds easy diner. Didn't have any Bacon, refused to subsidise with anything else, mushrooms cold. Don't recommend.

I have just had the misfortune to purchase two £5.95 Ed's Breakfasts. I usually go to a well known pub chain. My guest left their breakfast said it was 'just horrible' I totally agree! By far the worse breakfast I have ever had, firstly, no bacon, so given an extra sausage. So, sausages the worse I have ever had, toast was not toasted, butter just a smear, corners not buttered, egg overcooked. It was nearly £19 for a terrible breakfast, will not go again. The staff were lovely, the only saving grace. No I didn't go and complain. Just put it down to experience.

Nice concept but not executed very well. Not all food is available on the self service machines, it's quite pricey, service was a bit slow and generally it all seems half-hearted.

Just a big compliment to Kelsey who works at Heaton Park - she is lovely and really warm and welcoming. Keep up the good work, Kelsey - always a delight to see someone so good at her job!

Hi Myself and my husband visited your restaurant hub at Heaton Park on Saturday. We both ordered a hot drink and a meal. The drinks arrived and my husbands meal however mine did not turn up. We told the waitress and she brought us the wrong item, took it back to the kitchen and after 25 minutes my food still didn’t arrive. By this time my husband had finished his food and when we asked again the staff member just said ‘oh sorry about that I’ll do it now’ This is not good enough there were plenty of staff on shift, the place wasnt busy and they were just stood behind the counter laughing when I’m sat there waiting for my food. I think the staff need a good shake up as they don’t look like they want to work i the place, not friendly and look half asleep on the job.

Really excited when it was announced that this was opening! This is our local supermarket and the concept seems super. Thought we'd pop in for a milkshake and a nosey when out for a walk. Totally took the wind out of our sails. Waited by the till for 5 minutes and nobody acknowledged us. So we then ordered on the screens and hovered around the collection area. 15 minutes later we still hadn't been acknowledged or given our milkshakes. Three staff members were just stood chatting in the corner and it became apparent that they weren't being made. We eventually asked, and they looked puzzled before one of them, popping her chewing gum, ambled over to the receipt printer (brazenly lying in suggesting that it had only just printed). When they arrived, we were told there were no lids (a little awkward), and were provided with thin straws that were useless for milkshakes. We ended up popping back downstairs and buying some from Sainsbury's just so that we could drink them. The actual taste was great! Which made it even more of a shame that the experience, service and packaging rendered them unenjoyable. We were desperately excited to try the food, maybe even regularly, but think we'll swerve it. Crying out for some managerial expertise! Awareness was severely lacking.

Been here 4 times now. Staff are friendly but they have no idea what they are doing. Coffee comes wrong every single time, food orders come out erratically at best. The concept isn't bad but it's screaming for organisation. Also carluccio coffee is excellent from any propper branch of carluccio. Here it is bitter and can tell the beans have been sat for too long in air

No one had a clue what they were doing the food is far from average and over priced the floor looked dirty there food left on tables save your money and go somewhere decent

Horrendous!! burnt bacon a small roll and then given hot milk with tea. This is a place I won’t be visiting again. Would not recommend

Needs to get better and quick ! Organised chaos to be honest ! Paid £9 for a slim chickens ( chips and 3 small pieces of chicken ) and was cold! No straws or lids for drinks too ! Not good at all

Poor experience overall. Queuing system a bit lost, ended up serving customers who arrived after I did. Food for 2 came out 15 minutes apart so dining together wasn’t really an option, unless you like cold chicken. Not sure how a beef burger takes that much longer to cook. The food itself was good enough, just a shame about the FOH staff. It’s obvious that it’s new and they’re finding their stride, crying out for help from more experienced personnel.

I really liked the food here. Good plant based "meat" - I liked the Slim Chickens Plant Based Tenders, they have a plant based no beef burger too, I believe the Gourmet Burger Kitchen one but I haven't tried that yet. Honestly those plant based tenders are the nicest fake chicken I've had. It's a little expensive but I would visit again.

We visited for breakfast this morning, the service was great and I really felt sorry for the staff. But the food was awful. My breakfast had to be sent back because it was cold, almost as if it had just been taken out of the fridge, then they brought out the wrong breakfast which I sent back again and then I think they gave up. After about 30 minutes for food which didn't arrive I ended up getting a refund, unfortunately we weren't the only ones with issues as there was a queue of people getting their food refunded. Hopefully the kitchen staff will improve once they have been open longer, but the front of house staff were great!
