Kansas Fried Chicken in Manchester

I hqd popcorn chicken and chips, the owner gave a large amount of food that was great and really tasty! Only thing I would improve was the gravy, and give it a bit of heat, spice or zing! Overall it was really nice though!

Gafs been here 30 years longer then any chicken shop on the strip, that tells you all u need to know

Had a chicken burger dipped in a spicy sauce with hashbrown. I was gobsmacked how nice the burger was. You would though for a second that you eating a gourmet burger. The guy who was serving was like and make the burger wasn't that good at customer service maybe was late for him but what a burger he produced infront of you. Really recommend👌

Kansas is a legend and I still think the flavour of the spicy dip is amazing and the 1st to do spicy burgers in mamchester HOWEVER what's letting it down big time is they haven't improved technique over these 30+ years The batter doesnt sticking to the meat and the batter its not fluffy and crunchy The chicken fillet inside is hard ,dense and flat in places and most of all NOT tender and soft So many new places have opened up that have mastered the batter and frying and tenderising the chicken and kansas have unfortunately been left behind ,if they can improve the batter and making the fillet soft and then use kanasas spicy dip sauce on the burger they can easily be one if the best again. I want to see the shop full of customers like in the 1990's making great burgers and consistency

I've been using KANSAS for 30 yrs ,, and it has gone down hill ,this weekend I've got food poisoning, due to they don't change the oil often ,the chicken is like rubber on occasions and it's not as crunchy as it use to be ,SORRY KANSAS CHORLTON I won't be using you again ,,not a good reputation

Disappointing. No flavour in the chicken burger. This is the reason why Kansas is a dying breed of fast food joints. The wings were dry and old. The place was empty. The positive was the chap behind the counter had a huge smile. Probably just to see a customer.

Got for a big family Worst experience very oily chicken more sickness than eating chicken yuk never again. Gave me food poisoning. It’s like eating grease If you agree please like and share so they can make a change

This is second time I had the same experience, this branch burgers always not fresh, their chicken patty was cold. I am not going to this branch again.

The chicken was old and the outer coating burnt.. Very dry from inside. Wouldn't go their again and wouldn't recommend.

I say this with total respect for Kansas its legendary and iv been having kansas since 1995. However they get offended at this branch if you ask for a freshly fried burger fillet even if your willing to wait for the next round of frying. The burgers are disgusting and cold when not freshly fried.

The spicy chicken burger is top tier.

Ordered a spicy chicken burger picked it up at 5pm and it had been in the warmer that long I could not bite it just pulled chunks of dry over warmed chicken . Tried to call to complain but no answer. Kansas is the best fresh but the worse lately leaving the burgers in the warmer to long. Just cook all fresh I'd wait for sure

Used to come here over 10 years ago. Food still as tasty but the service needs to improve (a smile and thanks go a long way). The decor is still the same, maybe since it was opened

Really best burger place of Manchester. Top class no1 been customer for around 15 years now. They haven't lost any taste on their burgers I would recommend my friends and my relatives at your place. Kansas I think is the best burger place within Manchester. They give bigger burger size with reasonable price They have added payment options as well they accept both cash and card payments.

DEAD FOOD ☠️ The only thing I would recommend is the drinks.

Tried calling them 5+ times about ongoing order on Deliveroo and no answer, no option to leave notes. The business knows they’re rubbish and continue to serve and operate this way. Will be reporting to trading standards as they cannot comply with allergy requests.

Very bad experience went in to order a ribs meal, returned for a refund was frozen on the inside. Don't know who trains staff there but to launch the meal in the bin aggressively and deny a refund for the whole meal...

Ew... and the award for worst chicken fillet burger in Manchester goes to Kansas, Wilbraham Road. A shame as the one on wilmslow Road used to be top. Chips were OK thankfully...

The burgers are never nice anymore, always stale & hard like they have been sitting there for ages. This place has used to be ok, but I think a recent change of management it has now gone downhill. Only the gravy is half decent & even this is a hit n miss.

Had me right off with the price got a variety meal 3 pieces of chicken with 2 wings chips and water and 5 wings on there own with small gravy charged me £14 how on earth i don't have a clue foodwas terrible

Grew up eating here used to be so good. Went recently and it was disgusting, cold and dry food. The spicy sauce has completely changed tastes really sweet and watery! Such a same and the shops decor is highly outdated

Placed near morrisons in Chorlton, does fried food, and like a lot of burger places, when made fresh. U can't beat it. The only downside is, its not always fresh and thats a draw back. Always ask when the chicken was made. Otherwise nice burgers 🍔

If you are asking for stomach problems come here

As a treat now and again, if the burgers are fresh and the chicken is succulent, we can't fault this place. With that being said we have had the odd occasions where the chicken tastes"old dry and rubbery". I will usually double check with the staff that I'm being served a fresh un. Mayo is nice too.

When the chicken is fresh and the sauce is right its an easy 10/10 but its very hit or miss in terms of consistency. If they can fix up, this would be the place to go

I would say worst takeaway I’ve had shame really years ago the food was fresh and I used to have it as a treat but these days it’s never fresh and food standards would have a field day as I seen a lot of cross contamination in the 2 minutes it took him to give me food and reheated in a microwave no thank you I put it straight in the bin and went to Atlantic fish bar instead pricy but quality for mod served there

The staff aren't sure of what they are doing, asked for a double burger with cheese and they forgot the cheese, asked for a extra piece of chicken and asked for a rib piece they have me a barbecued rib which was cold. Asked for beans and the guy took it out of the fridge and put it in my bag, well if you aren't even going to warm them up mate I might aswell go to morrisons and get a big tin cheaper. The burger just tasted peppery and not much taste to it. All in all £18 down the swanny.

I have been having these folks chicken burger for over 20 years and have never tired of it. It is large and filling, and my favourite anywhere in the world. The chips are excellent too. Shame they don't deliver, if they did, we'd order a lot more often.
