Fantastic classic old pub of gornal full of character. Great atmosphere no matter what time of day all week long. The staff are always happy to have a chat and look after everyone. Kids are welcome too. Highly recommend to all.

Absolutely awesome pub, both patrons and staff are very friendly, theres a very warm welcoming atmosphere for strangers and it was a real pleasure to have been there for a couple of pints

Heather and the team run a great pub. The Red lion has a really good atmosphere and the beer is good value too.

Not really happy because there's no entertainment and no decent beers normally have Stella on draught had to settle for a foster I didn't pay for it but it's not my type of view lve given it 2stars but honestly it's a waste of time

Lovely warm and cosy reception from both wonderful landlady and in Ladies bar! Family gathering of cousins with long links to Gornal via the Fountain pub. The lady on the right was brought up there as her parents, Fred and Ida Keaton, ran it along with their Staffie, Buster. Happened on the Red Lion by chance. Highly recommend and will be back ❤️xx

This is my local, best boozer in gornal , family friendly , great atmosphere, the best people to drink with, staff are amazing, big shout to Terri thx bab, hearther the new gaffer , sound as pound, , this is one of the only real pubs left in gornal , keep it goin peeps x

Fantastic place brilliant atmosphere

This pub was our dads all time favourite . After he sadly passed away we went to see Heather to ask if we could have his wake there. Without hesitation Heather said yes and gave us all the help we needed. It was a great send off and we are sure our dad would have been proud. Heather and her team did a fantastic job looking after us. I would not hesitate to use this pub again.

Had an awesome night, great people and a great atmosphere. Bar staff and manager H were lovely. Will be back soon x

What an awful pub... Full of wannabe CHAV's and kids running riot with the parents not giving a care in the world.. the toilets are disgusting, my partner had to ask for toilet roll as there were none in hers and they gave her a loo role as if it was behind the counter like a drink. By the time we left after our one and only drink that same toilet roll was in the process of being whacked all over the floor by a feral kid!! Would never set another foot in this place if you paid me!!!
