The Real Greek in Bournemouth

That was not greek food .I am greek and that wasn't greek or greek style food.Quality absolute rubbish value for money i think not!! What a waist of money .RUBBISH!!!

Second day in a row for dinner, and everything once angain amazing.

Lovely food - hard to hear conversation due to echo in large room.

Really great food.. and great service from Tomas.. randomly found the place on Instagram and thought we would visit as I'm in Bournemouth to celebrate my birthday. The moussaka and octopus were absolutely amazing. Tomas was very friendly and helpful with the menu! He really made my birthday special! Overall this lunch has been a great start to our Bournemouth getaway!

Gustavo was amazing! He took all our request and made the experience the best we have had in Bournemouth. Food was delicious and they have amazing vegan and vegetarian options.

Have ordered from the Real Greek many times but ordered on Friday 7th March. I had lamb meatball souvlaki wrap and spinach tirotipakia, my Nan just had the Greek salad. The salad came with way too many tomatoes and barely any other vegetables. 5-6 hours after eating I was violently vomiting and experiencing diarrhoea. The food previously has been very good but I was very disappointed and upset to have contracted food poisoning. Would recommend eating at/ordering from other restaurants.

OMG! What can I even say? We had dinner last night, the chef called Filipe did the most amazing dishes! He’s super competent, food was quick AND TASTY, he has a lovely smile on his face, he clearly loves his job and we are definitely gonna come back for his food and service! Thank you so much Chef Filipe, you made our night better than ever. See you again

Lunch menu, even though is simpler, still offers a great variety of food. Service is great, and food always hot

We never go into Bournemouth to eat but we will visit The Real Greek once in a while for top notch greek food. The Slouvaki wraps are our favourite. It is a bit canteen like and can be too cold but the food is great

This place offers great cocktails for £7.50. You will find some classics, but also ones with Greek twist. Food was amazing, and service top notch

I have a food intolerance and after speaking to Thomas at the restaurant they were extremely helpful! The food was extremely tasty, arrived hot and was very enjoyable! I would definitely recommend this restaurant it’s a 10 out of 10 from me!

Came here to eat with my partner today, and was left with a lot to desire. Having been to Greece before, this food was a watered down overpriced version of the real thing. While the ambience of the restaurant itself was nice, the service from our waiter Gustavo was not. His pompous attitude was accompanied by the lengthy wait time for our food with no explanation from him. I’m not sure he he quite understands how to do his job politely. Rudeness isn’t what I expect when going to eat out at a restaurant.

Excellent service, excellent food

We had an amazing time here, the food was nice, however we really enjoyed our night thanks to the attentive service. The waiter, Gabriel if I remember correctly, was really nice and despite it was a group of us he managed to deliver a very attentive service. We'll definitely come back in our next time in Bournemouth

Last night I had one of the best dinner I ever had! If you’re looking for real Greek tasty dishes I highly recommend this Restsurant! Staff it’s fantastic, Gabriel our waiter made some very good recommendations, was very knowledgeable and made our night extra special!! Ps: the Halloumi fries are to die for!!! Went back not long ago and was happy to find out Gabriel was still there! He took again such a good care of us! Thank you again for the amazing service and fantastic food!! 10/10

Absolutely loved it here. Came for my birthday meal and it was lovely. Food was excellent, service was good and staff were friendly and in the summer you can sit out on the balcony overlooking the park and shops. Will definitely visit again thank you!

WE VOW NEVER TO SET FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. We are an elderly couple who were given a Groupon "Real Greek Set Menu for 2 people" by our daughter. We telephoned the restaurant in Bournemouth on 30th January to book a table for 31st January, New Years Eve and we were told we could use our Groupon voucher that night and presumed that this would be noted on our booking. When we arrived at the restaurant we were given a selection of menus and ordered a Greek Platter for 2. When it came to paying we showed them the Groupon voucher on our phone and the waiter said he could not accept it. We were at a loss to understand why as the Greek Platter for 2 was £50 and the value on the voucher was for £62.90. Josef the manager came over and said we would have to pay the bill and get a refund from Groupon because it was nothing to do with them. He said we should have told the waiter we had a Groupon Voucher, but we reiterated that we would have thought a note would have been put on our booking to this effect. Josef kept repeating that we would have to get a refund from Groupon in a very rude and condescending manner. We were very embarrassed and disgusted by his attitude and paid the bill. Happy New Year.

Beware when using a groupon! I purchased a groupon voucher for my parents, when my mum rang she was told it was ok to use on New Year’s Eve, then after they finished there meals tried to use there groupon voucher and was told they can’t use it as they ordered off the wrong menu?? This was not there fault this is the servers fault, they asked to speak to the manager and he was very rude and demanded they pay the full amount he also went on to say he doesn’t care about getting a bad review and apparently groupon is nothing to do with him? They will never return there again simply because of the managers attitude. I would advise everyone to avoid this place especially while this man is still there trying to act like a manager it’s very disappointing.

Me and my husband met some friends here tonight. Got in early as we know it can get quite busy. Tom was our waiter and he was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful and recommended his favourites. We loved the taramasalata (we ordered two haha) and the prawns saganaki. We even had some delicious desserts and a couple of drinks. Thanks Tom, we will be back soon

Delivery time kept getting pushed back. Took about an hour and a half to get food. Once it came the food was terrible, so bad we didn't even finish it despite our hunger. Real shame as we generally enjoy Greek food. Will never order from here again.
