Cheers to Gabriel for making it a superb experience, arranging for a balcony table with views on a glorious sunny day, service with a smile and food so good I almost had to smash my plate in delight (chefs kiss 🤌🏻) shame he supports Crystal Palace 🦅.

2nd visit to the real Greek and it didn’t disappoint! The menu was explained really well as it’s been a while since my first visit, and the service which followed was excellent. Great food and atmosphere too. Would like to name drop Gabriel as he made our experience a really great one!

As a Greek person I was very disappointed in this restaurant. So, tzatziki,htipiti and pitas were actually the only things that I liked. The lamb meatballs were very hard to chew and smelly with a watery sauce, ntolmades were not fresh, chicken skewer was fine but very small portion, prawns were very soggy and the rice with it also. That’s not Greek food and it’s a shame that they are representing us in such a bad way. Everything was unseasoned and tasteless. The best thing that I tried was the dessert portokalopita. Very yummy and fresh. Service was also very mediocre, not smiling, and seemed like they didn’t know how to work. Bad experience in total.

Had a wonderful meal of moussaka, fries and Greek salad on the lovely terrace at the Real Greek, Bournemouth. It is always a wonderful venue and great food but because we’d picked a quiet time of the day, it was even more special - quiet, sunny and excellent service. We had a lovely time out for dinner. The staff were really kind and helpful. I was looking forward to trying the falafel, but unfortunately they were out of stock - annoying for a Greek restaurant! Starters don't come with any sauce/hummus which was a shame. We had the wraps which were an okay size but would probably need a side to be more filling. Kids meal was great however. Puddings were really good!

Did not eat, put next to a big noisy group asked to move and put outside in tge cold.

Tomas, Antonio and ronny were very attentive and saw to my every need, amazing food atmosphere and service, well worth the money and time!

Overall was a good experience. The quantity of food is abundant, the flavours delicious. The staff is really friendly and polite and the price was good for what we ordered. The halloumi chips with honey are delicious!!!

I went there with my family and friends to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious and the staff was great and kind with us. The atmosphere was also great. We had a wonderful time there.

The food was just brilliant, chicken was juicy and tzatziki was really refreshing, I wish I had more of it. I usually don't like halloumi cheese sides, but oh my when I've tried some of my partners - it's to die for. Please keep the same quality of food as we are officially your regulars!!

They should better change their name to “British Greek” instead of Reel Greek. As a Turk guy who travels a lot to Greece nothing is reel here. Even the portions are half size than a “reel greek cuisine “ Octopus was like a plastic, no one on the table even tasted salt cod, Kalamar and chips were OK that’s all. Disappointed ☹️

I visited this restaurant on my 2 days trip to Bournemouth and all I can say is it has very nice and authentic Greek food , serving was amazing as well ,would totally recommend to try on your next stop to Bournemouth , we had a kali oreksi set offer for each of us and it was more than enough !

Awful experience here yesterday. 4 of us at our table. 1 starter was brought to the table and, a good 10 minutes later, the other 3 people were still waiting for their starter! We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which was relabelled for The Real Greek. The wine was AWFUL. It tasted like a cheap £5 bottle that had been relabelled. We cancelled our order and was asked why. It was briefly explained but considering the service had tarnished my friends birthday already we didn't want to dwell on the fact. After being told why we cancelled they had the absolute cheek to add a 'service charge'. We didn't notice until today and it's left a more sour taste in our mouths than the wine did! Will not be visiting again!!!!

I love the real Greek the food is fabulous. The staff are all friendly & if there is any problem then its always sorted straight away with no fuss.

Great food and fantastic service! I highly recommend the Grilled Meat Platter. We shared it between two of us and it was delicious. Perfect with a glass of wine and some veggie mezes.

Let's just say there was nothing wrong with it, but there was Definitely nothing great about it, and if you think it's going to feel like an authentic greek restaurant, then you are very wrong. This feels like an English person who has never experienced greek food in a greek taverna. He has read a recipe book on a few greek popular plates and turned it into a clanky, noisey commercial business. Souvlaki pita was probably in the bottom 10% of greek pitas I've ever eaten. The greek salad arrived in basically a large coffee mug. The chicken wings were cooked but lost flavour because the marinade was not caramelised or cooked long enough on the grill. (Clearly, the chicken is precooked before getting to the grill). 8 olives cost £4 The only good thing was the service, which was very attentive. But there is a 10% service charge applied to all bills, and you have to make a point of asking for it to be removed or reduced if you think 10% is too much. We won't be going back as it leaves you feeling disappointed about greek food. Staff were really nice though, so kudos to them.

Visited Bournemouth and decided to give a try to “The Real Greek” unfortunately I left the restaurant very disappointed due to the food menu being so different to anything that got to do with Greek industry food, the portion is skewer comes just with 1 piece and you have to order all the rest that are meant to come in the portion,all Greeks know that a portion of pork Skewer it’s built by at least 2 skewers,fries and tzatziki but I haven’t seen any of this in my plate unfortunately.

Visiting this restaurant was definitely a great experience. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We were served by Josef and Tomas. They were very nice and friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant, you will not regret it.

Great food for adults and children. We were thankful to the waiter (possibly the manager) as we thought we had read that kids eat for free when £10 spent not realising it didn’t apply to the lunch menu. We paid and walked out and the manager chased us down the road to give us £15 because they hadn’t taken off the kids food. He didn’t have to as we were already gone but he ran to catch us 😂

If Greek food is your thing, the real Greek is a fantastic option. In the bh12 centre, it is easy to get to and the staff are friendly and service is great. Really recommend for a great meal out with friends family or fiancees.

Once sat down they asked if we wanted olives for the table - we presumed complimentary but when we got home we realised they charged us £3.70! For like 6 olives. Ridiculous. Calamari was overdone - however they did take this off the bill at least. Vegan meatballs were also overdone. Prawns were a little rubbery too. However the orange dessert cake was incredible. Absolutely delicious. Overall, it was an okay experience but wouldn't personally recommend.

We had a great experience thanks to their welcoming hospitality and delicious food. The money you pay is worth it. I can’t recommend any specific food, because all of them were tasty! And I would like to thank you, Thomas; he was pretty helpful with the order decision.

Their fries (I know 😅🙈) are amazing. Cooked on the inside, light and fluffy, crunchy on the outside without being oily. 🙌🏼

Lovely place with a great menu selection. Staff were super friendly and looked after us really well. Love the use of tiered serving stands to bring out the mezze, saving valuable space on the tables. Looking forward to trying more dishes in the future.

Food was very dry, tasteless, some of it microwaved and not fresh. Gone massively down hill since a few years ago. I question the validity of their existing reviews.

I have been to many Real Greek restaurants across the country, but this one was the best one so far. Amazing atmosphere, great food and staff members couldn't be more helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Thank you very much for an amazing experience at the Real Greek Bournemouth!!! Very recommended!!!

Cold food (hallummi bread and chips .)

Party of 4. Could only get a booking at 4 or 8pm. Our fault, we booked last minute . I had the pork gyro. The greek flat bread was great, but the pork itself was dry, I could not eat it, awful! Hardly any tzatzika, either. They refunded it, which was good, but I had hardly eaten anything, my friends had finished. My friends had the shared platter. Not great, either. I have been before, lunchtime with my daughter, was meh then and met now. Won't be back

Stunning food that never fails. Beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant or if you would rather click and collect, the food does not dip in quality at all! Delicious

First time me and my partner visited The Real Greak and you have to go! It’s a lovely spot with amazing food. I had the meatballs with flat bread and hummus was so tasty. The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.

Prices are extortion, food took ages to come and when it eventually arrived after a 45 minute wait was very disappointed with portion size. Food was mediocre at best overall very disappointing and wouldn’t recommend

Overpriced and tiny portions. If you've been to a taverna in greece you quite often ask for a doggy bag to take home you generous meal. You'll not have that problem here

We were in Bournemouth and wanted some dinner, this area had loads of restaurants, and we opted for the Real Greek. Had never been to one before, but as a bonus they were advertising free kids meals. We were seated quickly when inside and took a while to order but only as we were trying to work out what we might want...! Deciding on the fixed price menu option (and kids meals for kids) we got ordered and food shortly arrived afterwards. The fixed price had some cold and some hot, and the cold items came first which meant there was a bit of an overlap between the adults eating the kids finishing theirs. Food was nice, although did get a bit of food envy looking at what the table next to us ordered! The only item I wasn't keen on was the chicken that came with my daughters kids meal (she didn't like it). Meal total came to about £55, so was fairly reasonable, but it's another one of these places that auto add the service charge unless you tell them not to, so would have been closer to £50. (Fixed price was about £18 each, but we also got a side of chips and drinks..)

We went saturday around 6.15pm quite busy and waited so long and after while waiting Food came cold,tasteless and customer service disappointing! We went to restaurant our baby she is 8 months l booked table for two also l wrote special request high chair for my baby after we got confirmation email than we went restaurant one lady greeted us and says you should book table for 3. We haven’t got table bla bla long story short :) it’s not friendly staff. Cold ambiance not recommended.

The food wasn't to my taste , I ordered Greek trio, pork skewers was tough, it was hard to take it off from the skewers even the chicken was hard to take it off. The rice was bland and under cooked. Over all the service was quick and the price is quite decent.

The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. We went there with my kids and they loved it. I loved the waitresses and their attentiveness was great, we wanted for nothing. Lovely restaurant. Thank you

I’ve eaten here a few times now and as always the food is excellent. We were served quickly but not rushed, the kitchen smelled great and looked really clean. Only downside was it was very quiet on the night we dined, so atmosphere didn’t have that ‘buzz’ that you get on a busier night in the Real Greek restaurants.

The food was good but very cold when it arrived. The service was awful, we waited a long time for food, no one ever revisited us to check in or offer more drinks, we had 1 drink each in 2 hours. It took two hours for the experience because of the lack of service, we waited to be noticed even to pay. The alpha pale ale was off and at the end of the barrell. Wouldn't re visit. The southampton venue is great but the Bournemouth one was very disappointing.

Food came quick, and tasted absolutely divine. Ample amount of food, and fairly priced. Walked out of the restaurant fully fed and watered. Amazing experience!

Overall the Tsatziki and Taramasalata weren't very nice and the bread was almost cold and hard as a rock. It all went in the bin and I won't be ordering from here again.

Used the £30 Groupon voucher which proved to be good value.

1st time here and food was excellent, service was quick and staff where happy and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit and the Groupon offer is very good.

While there's nothing wrong with the food there's nothing particularly amazing. I like Greek food alot and I've probably been spoiled! However location wise there are alot of chain restaurants so if u fancy something a bit different to the others then worth a try.

I recently dined at The Real Greek and had a fantastic experience. The food was truly delightful, especially the calamari dishes which I highly recommend. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff adding to the overall positive atmosphere. I'd advise booking early on weekends to secure a spot, as it's a popular choice. Overall, a great place for a delicious meal and excellent service.

The service was great, but unfortunately the food was very disappointing. My meatballs were not cooked properly, the moussaka was most probably defrosted, the gyros was nowhere near what I would expect, etc. The only dishes that were ok, was the calamari and the chips. The maze was ok as well... but avoid the main dishes!

I just ordered the desserts, thoroughly enjoyed them.

Absolutely loved my experience here. Came to bmouth looking for a restaurant for lunch on a weekend and was recommended the real Greek and rightly so. Lovely location and the atmosphere was great and lively. The food was amazing aswell and the range was good. Service was brilliant from Gabriel his name was im pretty sure. Would highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t been before! Great prices aswell
