Ade's participation was prohibited on New Year's Eve. Subsequently, Dave has manifested solidarity with his coiffure-deprived companion, who exhibited exceedingly abusive behavior towards Aidan. This subtly signifies Dave's acquiescence to his friend's perspective within this contentious predicament. Personally, I shall exercise my prerogative by abstaining from future patronage of the establishment. Dave's conduct is unequivocally reprehensible and necessitates a reassessment of his role, ideally transitioning from his current position as a pub doorman, a role for which his dearth of security training suggests a potential for untoward consequences.

Great local pub with friendly atmosphere and great music nights (DJ and bands) at the weekend.

I have frequented this pub for over twenty years, and it just gets better. It's a proper old pub and it's a really happy pub with some great characters all just out to have a good time. Hats off to the landlord. Brilliant.

Wow! I am impressed with this pub! The Unicorn served here is spot on. It's served to such an incredible standard and at an affordable price. There's also a good range of bottled beers, including the gorgeous Old Tom. If you're looking for Robinson's beers, this is the pub for you.

It's Bar without food, at least for that day when I visited. We just had potato fingers along with drinks.

It is a great "Propper" local. Great beer and a great atmosphere. The staff are really nice too. Get there early when there's music on.

Visiting Sale on a narrowboat so just popped in for a post cruise pint and was very pleased with The Railway, a pint of Unicorn went down VERY well and was poured with much care 👏 Comfy and clean it's a great canalside pub.

Great nights both Friday and Saturday DJ is brilliant

we arrived at the railway at 12 15 am to be met by what we thought was just a gentleman that had had quite a few to drink to be refused entry by this man I thanked him for his hospitality and that he was not a nice example

Went to see a mate's band,great atmosphere,lots of reasonably priced drinks and quick/friendly bar service,even though it was really busy.Certainly a hidden gem amongst some of the other better known bars/pubs in Sale centre

Dave and Maz who run it are such a friendly welcoming couple always chat to you when you come in, always things on at the weekend, well worth a trip down. Accessible by Tram and in a lovely location by the canal.

A great pub. Traditional boozer. Feels like a real community hub; with a good drinks selection, friendly locals and the staff are professional and lovely. Special mention to the barmaid Penny, who is super-efficient, remembers everyone's drinks and is always smiling. An asset to the pub. The landlord and landlady are lovely too. Oh, and a good selection of tunes on the juke box. A definite 10/10. And would be a 11/10 if they had a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand 🤣.

Live music and it was fairly busy when we popped in on a Saturday night. We still managed to get a table. Was good atmosphere (music wasn't so loud you couldn't chat). Would definitely return.
