Lovely food . Great staff Very friendly.

Lovely bar with plenty of food choices. Something for everyone and great value too. I'd personally recommend the steak sandwich but everything I've seen looks great. Staff really friendly and attentive too. Well worth a visit.

Called yesterday with family. A pint of beer cost £6.50 which is the dearest I have personally experienced in Northern Ireland. Apparently that included a 10% Easter discount according to their Facebook page. This means that a pint normally costs around £7.22. I messaged them yesterday on their Facebook page under their Easter deal post. They did not respond at all to my query but blocked me within 3 minutes and deleted my comment. I will leave it to everyone to draw their own conclusions about their customers service.My one star review reflects how I feel my query was handled. I certainly will never return.

Best meal we had in Portrush! Family friendly, food amazing and great atmosphere. Steaks cooked perfectly and desserts delicious. Can’t wait to visit again!

Saturday night with my wife , great atmosphere for starters we had pil pil prawns and potatoes bread fries . Both were very tasty and highly recommended. For mains I had the 10oz rump steak which was perfectly cooked to my choice. The chips were a bit meagre which was a little disappointing. My wife had the Beef papardelle pasta which was absolutely gorgeous. All in all a great meal but because of the chips 9 outta 10. Would go back though

We had high expectations. Quays was well recommended by all we spoke to. Fish looked lovely 😍 but unfortunately, the batter was a bit chewy. 😢 They were very polite and offered us an alternative.

One of our favourite places. Excellent service, food ( though not a huge choice) and value for money. If in Portrush this is a must eat.

We were in in sun afternoon & sat in the garden area as we had dogs with us . We like ve being able to come down for a pint with the dogs but after the football was over it got very very cold . We had ordered food . To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Far to expensive for wot we received & the quality wasn't fantastic either. We will be back for a drink but Def won't be eating again .

Last night, I dined at The Quays Bar and Gastro Pub. Despite the new menu being available, we opted for the Tuesday night curry special, and it did not disappoint. To start, we enjoyed the mixed kapora with dip and fish kofta. Both dishes were seasoned perfectly, and I especially recommend the kapora. For our main course, we savored the lamb Jalfrazi and the chicken Rogan josh. Both dishes were bursting with flavor and just the right amount of spice. The rice and homemade naan bread were exceptional, and the portion sizes were generous. The staff, as always, were friendly, accommodating, and professional, and we always have a good time with them. I highly recommend trying a curry from The Quays for a delicious dining experience.

We have been here twice, once for Sunday lunch and once for Wednesdays steak night. The first thing I'll say is that it's extremely busy but the staff are very ,very pleasant and efficient. The food is excellent and well presented and they don't scrimp on it either. The steak night was very good value, the Sunday lunch was expensive enough but it was over holiday period but all in all worth it. We hope to be back soon.

Booked here on the recommendation of a friend who said that the grub was good and the staff really friendly and she was right! We booked a table for 7.00 and the place was buzzing on a cold, wet January night. The staff were absolutely lovely, chatty and friendly. I ordered the sugar pit pork which was a really tender pork chop but the revelation was the braised hispi cabbage, it was so good! My partner had the salt and chilli chicken burger which he really enjoyed but said he’d maybe get the curry sauce on the side next time. I can also vouch for their espresso martinis. Really recommend The Quays!

Decided to call in for a drink, but we're ushered into the beer garden, is this place a bar are a restaurant? , it's terrible that we couldn't sit in the bar and have a drink, instead of been treated like second class citizens.

A lively pub with a large outdoor area with heaters. Service was fairly efficient and the drinks were at a reasonable price.

Lyndsey served us this afternoon. Hands down the most attentive waitress we have ever meet. Her attitude and attention to detail was only matched by the food. We had gastro toasties, homemade soup and potato bread fries. We migrated to the bar to watch the rugby and our glasses where never empty. Fantastic pub and an amazing server! Thank you Lyndsey. We will be back.

Ordered hot dog with chips, came out freezing cold and had to be returned. Service was good and atmosphere great.

Went for lunch today in the outside area as we had the 2 dogs . All the staff couldn’t of been more helpful . We had a beef roast dinner it was delicious . Will definitely be back thanks again . 👌

Ate in here 3 times and food and service has always been faultless. Great burgers, and love the tater tots. Good pints of Guinness as well.

Great food and very friendly staff

This was the perfect start to our holiday in Portrush with dinner provided by Quays Bar. The food was delicious and they were spot on with our reservations that we had secured months before. We had arrived a bit early, so we sat in the beer garden and enjoyed a pint beforehand. Service was excellent! Highly recommend!!

Worst fish and chips I've had in Ireland. Overpriced and below average food. Nice staff and lovely location.

Visiting the area from Glasgow and ate at a few establishments over 5 nights we were there and the Quays was the only place we went back to. Fabulous varied menu with big hearty portions and the quality was superb. Had the pit pork on the first visit and the daube of beef on the second. My wife had the chicken burger and the excellent bird n beef the next night. Service was top drawer, friendly staff who were up for a laugh. Would highly recommend the Quays if you love great quality ingredients beautifully cooked. You will leave stuffed. 5 stars establishment. Peter. Elderslie.

We had an amazing meal on Saturday! Proper home cooked food. Highly recommend the fish pie and brisket & chorizo pasta! Probably the best pasta dish I have had out. Staff are amazing and so friendly! Can’t wait to come back.

"The Quays bar gets a 5 star !!!" Those are the words I said after accidentally walking into their staff party while looking for a bar to hangout in for the night. I walked in and they told me they were closed, but after hearing my accent when I apologized for intruding, they asked me where I was from. I told them I was in from Canada and lookin for a party, and next thing I knew the bartender was buying me a drink. The staff are all amazing people, they all welcomed me into their bar and gave me the experience of a lifetime as a young traveller. Whether it was talking to Collin about his own travelling experiences and various career wins, or hanging out with Shea while he walked me back to my airbnb making sure I was safe, and making a small detour to swim in the Atlantic ocean on the way. All of it was amazing and I can't recommend this bar enough. They have nice comfortable furniture, a warm dim light to relax in, and the music was phenomenal. Perfect bar to go to if you're looking to have a chill night talking, or if you want to party later into the night then they'll set you up for that as well. Like I already said, all the staff are great people, take pride in their work, and most importantly they know how to have a good time! I know that if I ever return to Portrush I’ll be heading back to the Quays to see all my new friends again

Called in on a Friday teatime without a reservation, we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who sat us down and swiftly served up two pints. We were then served by another friendly waitress, our burgers and chips were delicious and we both agreed we’d be back.

The best meal we have had in portrush quality and value for money and staff so so friendly will definitely be back 10 out of 10 thank yous👍

The best bar restaurant at the North Coast.

Good drink, nice food and lovely atmosphere

Called in on Saturday night late September half hoping for a table . Warmly greeted and seated within 20 minutes even though it was extremely busy. Enjoyed a great ribeye steak with mash and onion rings . Will definitely call again.

Food not great, but their dress code is very confusing. I had a northern ireland top on Me and was asked to either cover up or leave! Quays Is in Northern Ireland.... but however a band was playing that were very entertaining and were wearing GAA tops which seemed acceptable to the management? We decided to take our business elsewhere where we weren't feeling intimidated about our cultural traditions. I would advise anyone who likes good food to avoid this kip and also advise their management to respect their clientele.

We would highly recommend anything from the charcoal grill! (My partner and myself) The rump and sirloin steaks were cooked to perfection. Fast and friendly service and a warm and relaxing atmosphere

Had a great meal here yesterday. Had the spicy beef rigatoni which was superb, and the service was great too. Will definitely visit again next time we're in town.

A must stop when in Portrush. I had the steak cooked to perfection and the other three meals were fantastic. The live music on was an unexpected bonus. Stuff were very welcoming and friendly. Great range of drinks.

OMG.... I would give them 6 stars 🤩.., I we could. Dropped in for a late lunch after a day of hiking on the beautiful north coast. Service was very friendly and helpful. All of the food was excellent... usually there are at least one or two items that I need to critically critique. And our first true Irish Pub experience in Ireland will be hard to beat. 😁. .... Lunch prices were also reasonable. PS- the potato bread fries were amazing.

First time at Quays. Very accommodating, food delicious, friendly staff. Come and try for yourselves.

Heard so many good reviews about Quays gastro bar in portrush so called in on a Friday around 7.00pm. It was quite busy with holiday families however we had a short wait in the beer garden which was very pleasant and had a beer during our wait for restaurant. The restaurant itself was in contrast to the beer garden was very dark in fact the walls were painted black and ambiance not great for a dining experience (we would have been happy sitting in the enclosed section of the beer garden) The meal itself was fair to poor, my rump steak texture was not like it should be I had the feeling it was put through some sort of tenderising process and not great like a good steak freshly cooked should be, garlic fries were just ok. My wife chicken strips coated in breadcrumbs the coating so salty she could not eat them, I am more salt tolerant but they were so salty I could not eat them either. We are not people who complain and the staff were very pleasant and I did leave a tip. So Quays I have to say huge disappointment and will not return.

Will NEVER be back, at this Disgraceful establishment. Today we were refused entry because my EIGHT year old Son was wearing a Rangers Football Top. So they Discriminated against him for wearing a Football Top. How utterly dispicible. He was so upset, thinking it was his fault. On their FB Page there is a pic of a Man with his Baby Son, they're both wearing Manchester United Tops. Please explain the difference? Obvious Discrimination. We will NEVER set foot in this establishment again and would urge other potential Customers to think twice before giving their Custom to such a disgusting example of how NOT to treat an EIGHT year old Child. Simply Vile..!!

Today (15th August 23) @ approx 2.15pm, my mum, my 2 children & my niece were going to The Quays Bar Portrush for what we hoped would be a nice lunch. Only to be turned away as my 8 year old son was wearing his Rangers football top! Shocked & disappointed is an understatement that a child wearing a football top can cause so much offence?!? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Had been in this place 2 weeks ago & my daughter wore the same top, not a mention. I wonder is the barman not a fan? Disappointed and will not be back!

After waiting 5 minutes and being ignored - I found the bartender to ask if they’re still serving. He found me a table but I can’t even eat here. There are small children - three at one table - all watching different cartoons on max volume and the staff refused to let me eat at the bar away from the horrible noise of them competing with the music and everything else. My first stop in Northern Ireland. Extremely disappointed. Paying for but leaving a full glass of wine and heading somewhere else. Edited to respond to their reply: I love kids. But they should NOT be allowed to play their own devices on maximum volume at a restaurant. And, the other table was still next to them - just on the other side. The bartender said he had no problem with me eating at the bar but the waitstaff refused, and there was no available table away from them. I should have left when nobody made eye contact with me while I waited at the hostess table. Maybe you’re normally great - but you were not today.

Was in today and they told us had to wait for half an hour before we could order That was fine we said we would have a drink while we waited But a few people came in after us ( obvious locals ) and the staff was all over them couldn't do enough for them ( I understand this ) we were strangers. So we had to ask for a menu waited ages on our food The waitress just put our food down and walkedaway. We had to ask another waitress to bring us cutlery and another waitress for napkins /water. Now the good was lovely but the service was not good ( maybe don't like strangers )

Called in today for lunch and waited 35mins for the first dish, which we were expecting after reading reviews, so that was OK. They brought my son out the wrong dish, which is ok too, it happens. What wasn't OK was having the waiter return from the kitchen with the same dish, set it in front of my 13yr old and forcefully argue with him that he did order it, not just once, but three times. I had to step in and insist he didn't, then the waiter started arguing with me! Mistakes happen but this was truly unacceptable. The manager (I assume) quickly stepped in, apologised, replaced the dish within 15mins and provided fries while waiting, which is exactly how it should have been handled. Unfortunately my son has autism and this set his anxiety off, leaving him upset for a while after, requiring us to return to our holiday accommodation to settle him again. Obviously the waiter wasn't to know, but it was an unnecessary upset that could have been avoided with general professionalism. Other than that, the food was beautiful, the area was clean and we if we based the experience on the managers service, we absolutely would return.

Fantastic meal, particularly the fish pie, so tasty, filling and packed full of fish. Excellent service and buzzing atmosphere with live music. Highly recommend

Friendly welcome. Best pint of Guinness in all of Portrush. We didn't eat here, but the food served around us looked great.

Spent the week down the port and we ate in the quays numerous times and it didn't disappoint, the food was amazing, the staff were top class and the atmosphere was amazing, reasonable prices also could not fault the place... Ps check out their entertainment...

Ate here yesterday (5th August) with 2 friends and the food was exceptional as always. It was the 2nd time in 3 weeks eating here and my only complaint was when I tried to reserve a table I was told they didn't take bookings July or August, just walk ins only so we were shocked to see 2 tables reserved when we arrived yesterday. When I enquired why I was told they were for "regulars"!!!!! Now surely every customer should feel valued and equal and rules should be the same for everyone.

Great wine (ordered the Crianza), and the haddock pan fried was perfect. People on my group also ordered the beef and bird and they loved it

Tolles Ambiente, freundlicher und schneller Service und das Fleisch ist super. Sogar die Kids Burger haben eine Top Fleischqualität!

Though busy we were able to get a table, the young staff were friendly and helpful. If you wished to stay there was live music. There was a good choice on the menu.

Thought the place was lovely staff very friendly did wait quite a while on food and drinks then had to go ask for a dessert menu. Could definitely increase there portions of peas and gravy which is what we got very small ramekins

Exceptional friendly staff a real buzz about the Quays, unfortunately the food was the only downside. The menu promted a gastronomic episode, regrettably that episode diminished on delivery. Certainly be back to the establishment but only for drinks, great atmosphere and can't emphasise how lovely the staff are, even the doormen.

What a team at the Quays, we had a large group from England visiting and took them for a meal and everyone loved their food. Service was brilliant and everyone was made so welcome. The group went back for more over the next few days....

We arrived as a group of 19 and had tables booked with 9 adults and 10 children, the service from the very start was fantastic with and the food was second to none, a great place for food and very welcoming staff

I've been visiting this gastropup for a number of years now and it has become "our local" for some time now. Normally I have a great experience here, with the good quality of food, friendly staff including the door staff. However, after one recent experience I don't think I shall return. My partner and I called in for one drink last night which ended up on the floor and I also nearly ended up beside it. Basically the table we sat at was unstable and I accidentally wobbled it and knocked over my partners drink before we had even taken one sip, my partner hasn't sat down yet, we had literally been served our very first drink. To the point; we were charged for another drink and I asked why are we being charged and suggested as a gesture of good will for our repeat custom the drink be replaced. The waitress, without empathy blatantly said no and when I asked for her manager, David, to come and speak with us, they sent over another young waitress who immediately came over and started to feel the feet on the table before introducing herself. "Our table is fine, it's not our fault". She then proceeded to basically argue with us that it wasn't their fault and the drink will not be replaced. I didn't expect this at all and the manager didn't have the bravery to deal with us, instead he hid behind the young waitresses. I expressed my disappointment by the way we were treated and stated I shall not return if this is the way they treat the locals. We basically paid nearly £20 for two drinks with one of them on the floor and made to feel like a disrespectful drunken teenager that needs thrown out for being unruly, (I guess that's what they thought they were dealing with as we had witnessed a number of people being "chucked out" with police officers outside) . It's unfortunate that the staff seemingly are not trained in customer service because my partner and I used to enjoy coming here.
