The Quays Bar in Coleraine

Great pub and right nextdoor to where we were staying. Great decor and a great atmosphere especially that night as they were showing two Champions League matches. Service was spot on and the food was great too. There is a kids' menu which pleased the grandkids. Well worth a visit.

Great place to visit, winter or summer especially with the beer garden, pub food is fantastic value and very tasty.

Very busy pud and restaurant. And quite noisy as to be expected. Lovely food, good choices, good portions and very nice staff. The prices are what you expect now. Quick service but we had a table booked.

Honestly weren't sure what we were going to get going here, but to say that everything blew expectations out of the water would be an understatement. Our 3 year old was reluctant to leave the train station so we crossed the street to the restaurant, were sat very quickly and waiting staff (2 men, never got their names unfortunately) how they interacted with our son and helped calm him was amazing. They were both so attentive and helpful, without ever being over bearing or intrusive. I'm not sure enough good things could be said about them. The food was exceptional, I had the fried chicken and my wife had the chicken burger, both were full of flavour. They were nicely plated (but we didn't take photos). The portion sizes had us both filled but not excessively. The best thing about it all was the value, for the size and quality of our meals I was very impressed at the price point.

We had a Sirloin and a Ribeye both medium l thought we were in Michael Deans Steakhouse Belfast which is 5 star as well .This in Portrush again reminds me off Rowlands restaurant from many years ago absolutely excellent fresh chips not frozen makes all the difference with a Good Steak. Staff are nice, attentive and good personality

A very varied menu to meet all tastes. You will receive a warm welcome, great service and quality food. Bar and restaurant are very welcoming and cosy. The covered beer garden which is warm in winter and very dog friendly gives lots of options for drinks and dining.

Had a great meal here yesterday. Had the spicy beef rigatoni which was superb, and the service was great too. Will definitely visit again next time we're in town.

One of our highlights so far on our tour of Ireland. A beautiful, cozy and stylish pub. A highly qualified service staff. An extensive menu. Arrive...feel good! We had the grilled chicken and the Guinness burger. Both good without words. A successful evening, fantastic food and good service! Gladly again, an unreserved recommendation!

Food was delicious but service wasn’t that good. We were waiting a long time to get our lunch and the chef had to come out from the back and told one of the staff that there’s food sitting in the kitchen and been waiting to go out, severs where on their phones.

Is a good place to eat. The only complaint we all had was the batter used on fish and onion rings. Not sure what it is made of but it’s hard as rock. Also is flavourless. We found the batter used at other places in Ireland “normal “ to us but maybe this is typical in this area. Would not order it again though…

Food was amazing, desserts were even better and service was great, all so friendly.

Unfortunately we were late in and all Sundays had finished but after ordering we also were informed of no potatoes, ordered the chicken goujons and didn’t get the corn. Always liked the food but it will be a long while before returning

Very conveniently placed. Opposite train station. Very good customer service. I noticed that all staff were very observant and helpful. The dish I chose was incredibly delicious!

Food was tasty and served quickly, service was good. I'm not sure there was too much gastronomy on display (for a "Gastro Pub"), but good value, simple food.

This is honestly one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. The food is high quality and has so many different options. The servers were really nice and helped us whenever. The ambiance is one of the best, having a nice design, lighting, and music. I wish I lived here so I could try even more dishes! I recommend the roasted Irish beef, Guinness burger, and cheesecake of the day. I got lucky and got mint chocolate chip 😍

Sports pub atmosphere with great selection of drinks and food 🥗 and delicious vegan options 🌱 I tried the veggie tacos 🌮 and the sticky Comiflor. A 10!

Was recommended this bar by a local . There were 4 of us that went , Myself the wife and our grandchildren. I had the Guinness burger it was delish although service was a bit slow . Think we waited around 45 minutes on our order coming . £60 for 2 adults and 2 kids meals . Would eat there again

We were headed to another restaurant when we walked by Quay's, we stopped to check out the beer garden and a waiter asked if we were okay! He then explained the beer garden offering their take away menu and the restaurant menu, he was very busy but took the time to help us regardless!! We got a table in the Quay’s Restaurant.. food was so delicious and the service from Julie and team was best we’ve had on our two week trip to Ireland. Great food, exceptional service and great atmosphere!! Definitely eat here if you are in the area!

Server was Lindsay and we have been in quite a number of times and every time she has been great and really good with the kids. Always pleasant and happy and nothing is ever a bother.

brillant service from Julie and fab food

Brought my partner and grandkids down to the quays food was outstanding and staff were so helpful Julie looked after us for our meal and was a lovely girl, highly recommended, prices were fairly cheap compared to other bars/restaurants that we go to, a MUST visit!

We wanted to book a table but they don't take bookings for July and August which is a shame 😕..but we went to the bar and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table of 7 BUT was well worth the wait the food was so amazing I couldn't fault it at all and very reasonably priced..the service was excellent and everyone was so friendly KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK and well done to the chefs as well x

We arrived as a group of 19 and had tables booked with 9 adults and 10 children, the service from the very start was fantastic with and the food was second to none, a great place for food and very welcoming staff, our waitress Kirsty couldn't do enough for us

Situated right on the edge of Portrush city centre, this Gastropub was a welcome find on a cold and wet summer evening. We were treated to a warm welcome on arrival and seated in a busy restaurant area, this is clearly a popular venue. There is a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits on offer and the bar display is uncluttered and clean. It was a Thursday night and the atmosphere was warm with a nice buzz, the staff were kept busy but were very attentive. We had no time to wait before our drinks order was taken and the staff were also happy to give us 20 minutes to dry off and warm up before taking our dinner order. We opted for the Pulled Brisket Pappardelle and the Slow Roasted Daube of Irish beef. Both dishes were beautifully presented, served hot and were absolutely delicious, the carrots with the Daube were cooked to perfection and the sauce with the Pappardelle was rich with just the right amount of Parmesan. We paired our dinner with a bottle of Chilean Merlot, which was perfect for us. We enjoyed the atmosphere of The Quays and the attentiveness of the staff. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the toilets too.

Took a long time to get the order in and then even longer to get the food. Sitting at the front near the bar means none of the waiters will come near you. The bar staff had to wait on other customers too who were waiting 20 minutes just to get a menu. Food was great but it took a long time so wouldn't go back. *an edit in response to the owners message to me - it seems if you don't make a reservation you get treated less favourably? I don't review a lot of places, just the bad ones to warn others of what might be in store for them/to give feedback to the establishment to try and improve. I watched the same poor service happen to other customers too as mentioned above, maybe if they review you can tell them eating out just isn't for them too. Sitting for 15 minutes waiting to order with staff ignoring you isn't the best business model. It was a late afternoon on a Tuesday, wasn't packed at all. The service is what lost you 3 stars and your response to the inital feedback shows you might not take it on board, but hopefully for future customers sakes you will.

A massive thank you to the Quays Bar & Gastropub Portrush from Ards Rangers Juniors 2016 squad. After a fantastic day at the Portrush Summer Cup, the team at the Quays hosted the squad, coaches and parents for their post tournament meal. Superb hosting, friendly atmosphere, kindness shown to the kids, topped off with excellent food and service. Couldn't ask for more and helped make memories for the boys. Highly recommended and certainly worth a visit.

Female member of bar staff more helpful than the initial male. We were mindful that we had arrived as kitchen would be closing but grateful that we were still able to order. Chicken wings were scrumptious,sides of garlic potatoes and ordinary chips hit the spot. Children in whilst we were there, which was a little off putting but didn't spoil our visit. Busy bar but a pleasant atmosphere.

Nice place, nice Guinness, but the food was just ok. Had the battered fish, which was a bit dry, with the chips, which were a bit insipit.

I came a few weekends back with a group of friends and we had a great experience. We booked maybe two hours before and managed to get a seat, they were turning away people without a booking. The place was really busy, the football was on, however, the servers sat and took our order very fast. We had beers and cocktails, the cocktails take a bit longer to make but are worth it, are fairly tasty. We had two vegans, a vegetarian and a carnivore, we managed to please everyone. There aren't many options in Portrush for vegan menus or even dishes, but this place did a great job. Overall, food was tasty and very good for portion sizes. The service was really good, we had a lovely lady serve us, she was really good. A mistake was made and a drink was missed, but she came over apologised and was very honest that they made an error.

Lovely gem of a pub in portrush!! We stopped here every night of our stay. Great prices, good food (we had the 3 course Sunday roast), and better Guinness than the place down the street (and better priced)! Loved the atmosphere, including the DJ and dance floor on Saturday night. Lots of very kind locals there, including the owner.
