Great bar very compact and seems to be the place to go if you have a dog so not for those who don't like dogs 😁 friendly atmosphere and different choices of beers and ales be nice for some cider offers too.

Fantastic craft beer with knowledgeable friendly staff

We love this place! Great selection of beers and cider on tap but also a fab collection of cans, we like to try different ones and often have a Saturday afternoon taste test! The staff are super friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. We often end up stood at the bar just chatting to people. There is also a good selection of games plus it's dog and child friendly.

Cracking little bar, good range of quirky, craft keg but also a couple of more mainstream products. Sell one cask ale at all times. Really enthusiastic owner who really knows her beers and has passion for the business. If you're in the area pop in you won't be disappointed!

A real find on a return visit to Hessle. Lots of IPAs and crafte ales to choose from and if you're not sure a a knowledgeable team member will talk you through the list and you can have a taster. They have a selection of ales to drink in or takeaway and are priced accordingly. Really cool interior and great music, small but great place. We'd definitely revisit!

1st visit to this cute little taphouse in Hessle which serves a range of beers on tap and is backfilled with a selection of bottled ales (mainly from Atom). I stuck with an old favourite, Sleck Dust but my partner tried a few of the Atom ales which she really enjoyed. We will be back!

Great little beer house. Lots of choices. We were all drinking different beers and loving them. Good clean toilets. Happy very helpful staff. Give it a try xx

Visit Hessle when we can. On occasion my brother also here and mentioned this place. Christmas day we tried it great selection of bers and also spirits available. But friendly staff and customers make it a place to return. We did 24 hrs later! Nice find and it's a supporter of independents.

Great atmosphere. The husband loves the beers. Not poor on the red wine options. Mason (our German shepherd) was also welcome. Terrific.

Very friendly staff warm and good place to be

Loved this place on our first two visits, but last night was a poor experience. We called ahead to ensure they were serving spirits as my partner doesn't drink beer. On arrival service was slow and unenthusiastic, and they had no ice for my partner's vodka and coke. We left after only one drink. Ruined my evening and I was so looking to enjoying a few craft beers. 😪

Nipped in for some tins on Sunday. Staff were friendly and the selection was great. I will be visiting again with friends very soon.

Great little bar, with some very tasty beers. Super clean place too. But the highlight was the warm and bubbly barmaid, who made me feel like a regular on my very first visit. She really made the whole atmosphere and deserves a pay rise 😉. We will be back!

Feels like a pub that has been squeezed into a retail unit BUT the beer selection is good and the music was pretty good so overall I would very much recommend.

Basic surroundings but an antidote to expensive bars selling glitz and overloud music. The beer is not cheap but it is good. Give it a try!

Had a lovely evening in The Pourhouse..from walking in to leaving 3 hours in total..it was a fabulous evening..staff are second to none ..courteous and service with a smile..decor is fab ..from lighting to fixtures and fittings..very stylish..love the place ..well done to all who made it happen ..will ne back 😊
