Excellent place for pizza - great to see it busy on a Tuesday evening. Great size pizzas with lots of toppings. Very good service and great value.

I felt compelled to write a review as the whole experience was awesome. First time I’ve been to the new restaurant version with some friends. The pizza - I had the marinara with anchovies which was delicious. Gelato - had tiramisu + hazelnut which was absolutely heavenly. Will definitely be back for both. The value for money is so good, it puts so many of the chain restaurants on ecclesall to absolute shame. Lively but laid back vibe, good music, efficient service. The staff are super friendly. Probably my new favourite haunt to bring friends + family visiting Sheffield. Thanks for a great experience :)

The ice cream is SO delicious, you can definitely taste the fresh good quality ingredients that they use. The flavors are amazing too, I had hazelnut flavor but I wanted to try them all. Well worth trying!

We had a great evening at porter pizza! We were served by Dave who was amazing! Conversation and was super easy which made a lovely night one to especially remember. Definitely worth a visit!

We've been enjoying the delicious pizza here all throughout the summer and it's always amazing. Members of staff are friendly and the service quick. The ice cream they make is superb and I can't praise it enough, but it appears that the serving size has been sliced by half in the past couple of weeks. Price for a scoop is a bit steep but I still felt like it was worth it.. until last week. The last two times I got really disappointed by the tiny portions I got for my money. Hope it was a couple of exceptions rather than a new policy.

At last proper Italian Gelato in Sheffield! Proper gelato is completely superior to ordinary ice cream but we haven't found it anywhere in Sheffield until now. We visited Porter Pizza today and can confirm that the gelato is excellent. Please go if you like gelato as you won't be disappointed.

We were up from London staying the night in a pub on the edge of town and they had a big event on so, we thought we try our luck getting a pizza somewhere nearby - I had no idea it would be this good! It was like a cool London spot but the food was better/cheaper and the staff were much nicer. We got a walk in straight away luckily on a Saturday night and had 2 great pizzas, some cocktails and wines. Really great quality, speedy, friendly and a nice buzzy atmosphere. Very impressed. I googled ‘is Sheffield cool’ on the way home and it turns out it is!

Happened to be walking past and noticed they now do homemade gelato. We got a two scoop tub and were really impressed. Excellent choice of flavours and very good quality gelato, we will be back to try more flavours!! Edit: returned to try again, flavours still delicious but they seem to have reduced the scoop sizes considerably which makes it very expensive for what you get. Disappointed this time unfortunately.

We asked for primitivo wine on the menu. The waiter opened a bottle of negroamaro and placed it on our table. When we asked why we were served Negroamaro instead of Primitivo, she said that it was ok they were the same. After us explaining that both wines are not the same, she mentioned that apparently they didn't have Primitivo (this perce is not a problem) she could have said that when we originally asked. The waiter instead of explaining that they only have negroamaro and if we would like that instead, thought it was ok to convince us the negroamaro was "the same" clearly someone that don't know about wine at all (again still not the problem, ignorance is forbidden when you just said I don't know) but she tried to convince us that the wines were the same. I hope you understand the issue and our annoyance.

Great pizzas, fast service and friendly staff. Not that many tables, but quick turnover means you can get a seat even when they're busy. Pizzas have a lovely thin base with puffy sides and delicious toppings. Also, the house salad was amazing - lots of olives, cherry tomatoes and lambs leaf. Highly recommended if you like pizza and want a quick meal.

I've always recommended this place for its decent pizza, but recently, both for dine-in and takeaway, the staff have been quite rude. The pizza is still great, so I'd continue to recommend it, but the attitude needs improvement, it's not enjoyable to spend money here when treated poorly.

Our pizzas were incredible! Went for a margherita and a “honey pie” and they both had the most fluffy and delicious crust, and great char. We did have to wait for 25 min but it was honestly so worth it. I’ve had many Neapolitan pizzas and this was one of the best- the tomato and crust being particularly great. The pepperoni, goats cheese and honey on the honey pie were all faultless too.

I love Porter pizza because of everything - deliciouse food, super nice staff, very fast service no matter if you order or walk in but... Today I experienced a massive dissapointment - what happened to garlic breads size??? :( next time I will order two but that was still sooo sad. Anyway, best pizza place in Sheffield.

Consistently some of the best pizza in Sheffield. Used to be a small place with a couple long benches for seating, now since moved into a bigger building with many tables. I’ve often found there’s no need to book for a small group as the table turnaround is quick. They now have homemade gelato, too. Good options for veggies and vegans, all pizzas a great price considering the amazing quality and quick service. Lovely fresh flavours on the margherita and a perfect, thin base. Nice range of both alcoholic and soft drinks. Staff are wonderful, never had a bad experience. I recommend this place to everyone, I can’t get enough of it!

Pizzas unbeatable, some nice cocktail options and delicious desserts. The gelato is great too. I would say the service needs improvement though. Plates cleared before everyones finished gives a feeling of 'hurry up', passing dishes over people isn't great, and drinks slow to turn up.

The best thing in the restaurant is the pizza and salad, and they are nice to deal with. They prepare the pizza in front of you and the price is reasonable. We took Margaret's pizza, a salad plate, and a Coke, and the bill is 15 pounds.

It is disappointing that they won’t let you come and order special pizza for take away. We have kids and wont ever be able to come to enjoy the pizza uninterupted and we are bored of the same pizzas. Shame

They are making some exceptionally good ice cream (we know good ice cream when we taste it as it’s kind of our thing, go & enjoy a scoop 🐮👍🏻

Unfortunately our latest visit to collect pizza was poor, usually great I must add. 3x burnt pizzas out of 3x ordered when we arrived home and opened the boxes see pics below, tried to eat but just tasted of charcoal ie burt. Booked collection time and stood 20 minutes over that time waiting.

Very authentic pizza and atmosphere. Genuinely felt like the real thing. Given how busy it was I thought the staff were doing a brilliant job. All in all 5 stars from me!

Porter pizza is the best pizza in Sheffield. Whenever I come in to order, it’s ready within a max of 15 minutes and always made fresh. The service has always been very friendly, even when it’s really busy and prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Me and my partner both agree that the pizza compares closely to that of authentic Italian pizzerias in Italy that we visited last summer. It’s great they now have a bigger unit with more space for seating too and I can’t wait to try the gelato soon!

Have loved Porter Pizza for ages but had two bad experiences on the trot with the service. While in store the man taking orders barked at my group to not use the toilet as we were walk in customers and were ‘ruining the atmosphere for the people already sat’ this was after paying for 4 pizzas already. The other was ordering pizzas online not told how long they would be until after we had ordered when it came up that it would be 2 hours - I accept that it’s busy and that’s fine but no option to cancel online several phone calls with nobody answering meant a 20 min drive to cancel where I was told oh if you sit down we will serve you in 10 mins we just don’t prioritise online orders. Then why offer it!!! Attitude of staff on the till is shocking have loved this place for ages pizza amazing but maybe they can’t cope with the expansion. Not sure why of you don’t sit at a table you are treated like a second class citizen especially as you pay the same amount of money for take away

Our go-to place for a delicious, quick and casual dinner. Great vibes, and you can tell how passionate these guys are about their food. We haven't lived in Sheffield very long, but my partner and I have eaten here more times than we can possibly count!!

That was the best pizza in the city! Today I've been there first time after they upgraded the place. Feels like the go from quality to quantity. ... pizza is not that good anymore, I was sitting outside and I've been given pizza in the carbon box, and they run out of the chilli oil. From a really great, cool atmosphere pizza place.become to be just a pizza place.

Really poor service skills. Stood in front of the counter for 15 mins only to be told that no more orders were being accepted because it was now 21:01. She could have told me that initially instead of making me wait all that time without even acknowledging me. Rude.

Poor information on the web site. Love the pizza's but very poor communication. Apparently Instagram is the favoured method. It should be clear. Also I used Google Pay and it was not clear that there was no delivery service.

The absolute BEST gluten free vegan pizza we've had. We always make a point of coming to Porter Pizza when we're in Sheffield because we love it so much. They've also just moved into a new bigger place which has more seating, toilets and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Great pizza but they need to manage the queue better. Just a gaggle of people stood in the doorway. No idea of who's waiting for tables or collecting or how long etc. We waited in line for 20 minutes ... To be told they've no tables for 2 hours.

Eaten here many times now. Both takeaway and eat in- I can’t recommend it enough. Good prices, friendly staff and the best pizza in Sheffield by far :) so many veggie options too!

One of my favourite Neapolitan pizza places in the UK. Run by Viv who is extremely passionate about pizza and making the best pizza they can. Lovely authentic little joint on an awesome little street full of interesting shops.

A true hidden gem. It is really the best authentic, nepolitian pizza in Sheffield. They are cooked in a real wood fired pizza oven and are cooked to perfection each and every time. I highly recommend this pizzeria.

This may be a one off, but the takeaway took an hour to arrive and all the pizzas were stone cold. Will not be ordering from Porter Pizza again.

First time trying out Porter Pizza for pick up take away. The pizzas were literally in the oven/cooked on arrival & service friendly. The pizzas were absolutely delicious. A few of us don’t eat cheese so it was fab to sample so many different variations. I particularly loved the ‘balsamico’. We will be back!

Apologies for the lack of photos but the pizza was eaten so quickly there was no chance to take any. I had the daytime mini pizza special yesterday which was a GENEROUS sized 9" 'Simply Salami' Pizza for SIX QUID which is a really good deal I think especially with the quality on offer. It's rare to get good Neapolitan in the UK and this was literally PERFECT. The char was great. It was cooked PROPERLY (please take note most other Neapolitan places that serve up raw pizzas drowning in sloppy raw toppings) and the quality of the ingredients was immediately apparent. The sauce was lovely, the cheese amount perfect, the Salami was really tasty and just the right amount. For me this was the PERFECT Neapolitan, and I don't normally even like Neapolitan as it's generally raw. I had a chat with the guys who run the place after to say thanks and well done for nailing pizza so well and they were very friendly and approachable. I can't wait to return and have a bigger pizza and try the rest of the menu. Burp.

So happy this place is round the corner from me! Only thing you could fault it on is how busy it is but hear they're moving to a bigger premises soon so happy days. I think the owner supported making the bus lanes in Sharrow safer for pedestrians and cyclists when a majority of business owners in the area wanted to maintain the status quo of Range Rover dodgems. Fair play for them putting their head above the parapet.

Thoroughly enjoyable pizzas and tremendous service. We pre-order 33 pizzas for a festive get together for our tennis club. Despite being a busy Saturday evening, Dave and Viv were able to accommodate us. They even delivered the pizzas to us. When we got to tuck in, the overwhelming comment was 'this is the best pizza that I have ever eaten', one person even said better than the pizzas they had in Italy! Fantastic. Thank you!

Pizzas here are excellent - lots of creativity! Get in early to order if you are doing take away. Nice seating space but not much of it.

Pizza was unequivocally delicious and the garlic bread portion was definitely most generous. Cannot fault the quality of the food. Definitely worth the money. However, everything else was a let down. We waited over half an hour just for our order to be taken. During this time, countless people walked in, ordered and left with a pizza! They seemed to have completely forgotten about us. Then a larger group of ~5 people came in, were seated and had their order taken instantly (even though we were still waiting!) by who I assume was the manager. Organisation was a disappointment to say the least. It was a bit inconvenient when our starter garlic bread was served simultaneously with our pizza mains. I just wish they would have given us some time to finish our starter before serving our pizza. The waitress serving us was very nice and couldn't fault her as she was rushed off her feet. She did the best she could in a busy evening.

First time visit. Only went because our first choice was closed being a Monday and as we know, who goes out on a Monday evening? Well Porter Pizza customers (of all ages) do. The place was full, even eating outside on a damp October night. The pizza was superb, just the right amount of toppings and a perfect crisp base. We shared a salad as the serving was huge, again just the correct proportion of leaves to tomato, feta and dressing. Will certainly visit again, sooner rather than later.

Can't really comment on atmosphere as we had a take away. But the pizza was delicious. Cooked fresh while you wait in under 10 minutes. Also had homemade pistachio tiramisu. Indulgent but worth it.

This place is great. The dough itself is really tasty and the topping combinations are really well thought through. I had a vegan pizza, which simply came without the cheese. This might seem like a cop out but it was delicious and the pine kernels and other well prepared toppings more than made up for the absence of the usually disappointing greasyness of most vegan cheese. Nice chilled vibe if you're sitting in, communal tables and a friendly atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable given the quality. If you're eating in, be aware that there isn't a toilet.
