Great place to sit out in the sun after a day out on the bike.

Bar staff are lovely and pleasant but not enough manning the bar always queuing and slow service. Need more staff at busy times. Definitely under staff! Food is fantastic but constantly picking and choosing which days they serve full menu or just pizza, when full menu always advertised.

Very nice bar with a mixture of traditional and modern decor. Generous beer garden with a lovely view of the well kept grounds. Good selection of drinks. Dogs aloud in the beer garden but not the bar.

On a warm summer evening nothing could be better than sitting outside with a drink looking out over the lawn and ornamental pond. Ordered pizzas at the bar. Delivered to our table in 15 minutes. That was on a busy evening with every table occupied. Great pizza. Good range of beers. Who needs to travel abroad with this kind of venue on your doorstep. Looking forward to a return visit.

Pleasant evening with friends. Drinks and snacks

The bar finds it perfectly acceptable to sell drinks that are 9 months out of date, no apology and no replacement until we returned to the bar 15 minutes later to ask where out replacement drink was.

Lovely place but it was a very sad occasion as it was my best friends funeral. The food was lovely as was the coffee x thank you x

The Owls at Standish never fails to give good food at the right price.

Excellent food at a reasonable price clean and well run.

We enjoyed the meal, food was good. Our biggest problem was our concerns about the many people (public) walking back and forth to the toilet WITHOUT face covers. Nobody challenged anybody.

Bar was lovely, good atmosphere and nice setting, ran out of pint glasses when only 6 people there which was odd but there you go

Attended a private function, a buffet was served, the buffet was excellent a totally enjoyable occasion and excellent service

Had some delicious food there last week and the cocktails were lovely too. Properly made! The setting is gorgeous, such a nice place to sit outside 😍 and the staff were friendly too

Amazing cocktails, very reasonably priced. Table service only as Staff adhering fully to COVID regulations. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the platters and nibbles which are available on the bar menu are delicious!

Now reopened with good processes in place. Outside with heaters or nicely spaced inside. Service to the table carried out efficiently. A few sharing dishes available too.

We’ve been a couple of times since it opened for a few drinks and recently ordered some of the platters - would highly recommend this bar 🍾 Staff are all very friendly and the service was excellent 👏 Keep up the good work!

Love it here! Sat outside all afternoon last weekend and it was gorgeous 💕 We ordered a Mediterranean Platter, which was delicious - i’d definitely recommended. Can’t wait to come again, it’s definitely the best bar in Standish 🍸🍹

Tried multiple times to get a waitresses attention, they seemed to purposely want to avoid eye contact. Once we did get someone's attention she said shell be back in 1 min, 10 mins later I enquired about drinks again only to be told there was a back log of drinks, so they weren't taking any drinks orders... AT A BAR !!! After waiting over 35 mins for drinks service we left. Worst service at a Bar I've ever experienced. You expect delays on food but not drinks, joke.

You always receive a very warm welcome from the team and the atmosphere is relaxed and good music at a level you can still have a conversation.
