Good food, upbeat atmosphere also friendly bar staff especially Mary who dealt with our order and our drinks, was very funny and very helpfull

We visited for a light lunch and beers with a friend and our dog, Ollie. Not surprisingly, Ollie got a lot of attention. Service was good and friendly, food and beer were good and Ollie was very happy with his sausages. We will definitely be back! My wife misses the mixed salad that you used to have on your menu though - it was her favourite.

Is a great place to come along for lunch frendily staff fresh cooked food and what is even more better is that it's animal frendily a great place to make memories

I always get the same food when I'm here, Steak Pie with Mash, and it's always the best quality! Friendly staff, nice decor - this is a place I've come again and again over the years with different family and friends :) Deffo worth a trip! Try the pies!

Went on a Monday night as there's free pool. Played about 5 games. Only 1 cue works. The rest were broken. Drinks are reasonably priced. Very quiet, but it was a monday with nothing happening. Staff are nice and pleasant

Nice welcoming place which also welcomes dogs with free treats and blankets so your four legged friend doesn't have to lay on a cold floor.

Was here yesterday and had lunch and the food was great and the service from the girl at the bar was amazing, Smiling and happy made me feel so welcome, I’ll be back again and bring friends and more family with me. I would definitely recommend this place

Was in the area meeting an old mate all the staff seemed to enjoying there self had some small plates. Worth the cash spent. Loads of tv screen for live sport. Will be back. The manager reminds of is someone famous

Casual & friendly atmosphere. We went on a weekday lunch so it was quiet with plenty of seating. Service was prompt and all meals of a good and tasty standard. Very reasonably priced.

Stopped off for lunch. The Staff were very friendly and curteous and served us straight away. We both had The Kitsu Curry. The best I've tasted in a long time. Portion sizes were more than adequate. Coffee was amazing. The surroundings were clean and bright. It's going to be another visit very soon.

Great pub for sport, 2 separate areas and a projector. Wasn’t as busy as expected so plenty of choice. Drinks and food decent. Only small issue is the staff, they obviously Don’t like there jobs which is a shame.

Old Brewery is decent for a drink or a quick bite to eat. Typical chain pub food, boiling around the edges and cold in the middle. Staff are really friendly. Has a pool table and also shows sports.

Dropped in while visiting a friend as her partner wanted to watch the football. Lovely looking pub with a mezzanine level up by the toilets. We got some food to share and it was all really good. Not a huge range of non alcoholic drinks which is the same everywhere nowadays.

Had a great experience at The Brewery in Alloa. Mary had great customer service skills and ensured consistently throughout our meal that we were comfortable and catered for. The food and drinks were great and we will be definitely be back. Thank you again Mary!

Food took for ever to arrive, steak and cheese sandwiche is horrific. 5 year old could have made a better effort. Bread was stale, no butter and the cheese was less than a sliver.

Absoloutly rubbish, the steak and cheese ciabatta was horrendous, was essentially just bread and a few wee tiny bits of steak, wont be back

Popped in for lunch while visiting family In Alloa, nice big clean pub and the food was really good. Staff were nice. Plenty of parking which is great. Wheelchair friendly.

I have used this pub for years and love it, food recently has really improved and the pub is stunning inside. Staff could be chattier as they don’t talk to you but they aren’t rude, they just do the job.

Nice alternative to Wetherspoons if you go when the offers are available. Nice setting with a good atmosphere. Food was. Good and hot and decent size portions.

Went the other day with the family, there were a few of us, but service was good. Food (mixed grill for me) was great and it seemed like a nice place to be. Everyone left full and happy. Cheers guys.

been coming down for the football since 2016 , great pub with lovely staff ive got to know well be down for the two old firm games sat and cup final may 25th and germany v scotland friday june 14th , what a night that will be , and foods great fish burgers and the chips best pub in alloa wouldnt think of going anywhere else customers and regulars are great many thanks guys

Brilliant meal tonight, beautiful mixed grill and a fish and chips, great service as well,drinks served to our table as we are. Friendly staff and an ambient atmosphere at 5-6pm.

Good atmosphere made very welcome from Mary she attended to us well. Lovely & friendly. The food was good enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend a visit you won’t be disappointed.

Popped in for a pint with a friend whilst waiting in the bus, the two girls working were lovely, very chatty, so we stayed for a few more.

I regularly come here as the menu has a wide selection of food and drink, all decent quality and very affordable. The staff are always pleasant and the interior is nicely lit, with plenty of comfy chairs/booths to choose from. It's usually pretty quiet around lunchtime and more lively in the evenings.

2 had lasagna and one gammon steak. All inedible and chips cold. Upset stomach next day.Very disappointed used to be good. No wonder staff can't recommend food.

Can’t get served because of the bar flys and regulars who just barge in front of you . Staff ignore those waiting patiently in preference the aforementioned . Aweful place will never return

Fantastic Updated review, 07/02/24 This would normally be my go to pub for a meal and a couple of beers, but I never know if the kitchen's going to be open later on in the evenings these days. I got told during January kitchen's closed at 8, but will open again till 9 from February. I came In Last Sunday tried ordering a meal at 7.30pm I got told the kitchen closed at 7pm. Came In Tonight for 8.30pm again tried ordering food, I was told the kitchen's closed. When's the best time to eat here? Or is it just pot luck!! It would seam that the law doesn't apply here have a beer enjoy the food and vape all you like coz the bouncers and bar staff clearly don't care.

Great meal we had at the old brewery service and atmosphere were great can't wait to go back .

Chose the Old Brewery for an after wedding lunch. The environment was quiet and we were afforded choice of tables. The lady who served us was really helpful. Unfortunately, due to it being late afternoon and the day before they receive deliveries, we didn’t get everything we requested. The steak and ale pie was delicious. The lasagne looked fine but the macaroni cheese wasn’t great. The dessert ordered was good. The level of service was very good it’s just a pity that food choices weren’t all available. Would go back for a casual meal but nothing formal.

Worst steak pie I have every had. There was a ball of thick sticky gravy and meat stuck between two tasteless bits of pastry. It was SO salty. The broccoli had been warmed, but not cooked. Chips were OK. We were the first customers that day, so was not busy. My sister went for the fish and chips, which looked a lot better. Pub is in a good location, but could do better. Lunchtime parking was good.

Used to be our 'go to' place for family special occasions but after the last 3 visits (the latest being last Friday, 2nd February) we will be going elsewhere. The food has declined to be poor at best - matched by the service on this occasion which was especially disappointing/surprising. This is a stunning environment but unfortunately the food and service is unacceptable; there is an excellent range of quality beverages but then again you can get the same beverages (at half the price) at Weatherspoons just 200m round the corner.

I recently visited the Old Brewery as a part of a Birthday party. We had a full sit down meal with 15 of my family and friends and i have to say the service and food was exceptional. The staff are really friendly and inviting, as well as the food was well priced and tasty. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Alloa.

Not enough staff, two girls trying their best to serve behind the bar and bring out food, service very slow as a result. 4/10 for the Nachos, they were simply Doritos with spicy ketchup. Nice pub but food pretty average at best.

Thought we would give this a second chance to see if food had improved since opening after covid, the food is not good quality and certainly not home made

Had a fantastic time when we had breakfast with Santa. All the kids enjoyed themselves. The Santa was absolutely amazing and so kind, all the kids loved him. The staff were very helpful and really nice to all the kids. Well done look forward to next year.

Great place for food and drinks, service is always 10/10 every time we visit. We often go to watch the rugby as well and the atmosphere is brilliant.

Apart of the nice barman who served us yesterday, everything else was…meh! I used to come often to this pub with my partner and my son but since they changed the management the place went down the hill. There is no good atmosphere or events for local people anymore, just a basic pub. Plus the food was bad compared with what used to be. Yesterday we’ve ordered the starters deal,the bun from chicken sliders was old, the tortilla for “tacos” old as well, everything else was so dry, could see the food was just frozen stuff that has been put in oven and served with bbq sauce and some miserable lettuce… Just sad, won’t be back soon.

Nice pub, clean, good atmosphere, nice staff. Would recommend for a drink or watching footy. But food? Absolutely not. Was served the saltiest steak pie I've ever had in my life, could not finish it. Veg was undercooked, chips were OK. Partner had undercooked veg, undercooked potatoes, and amazingly an undercooked yorkshire pudding. We're eaten in the Springkerse view in Stirling a few times, which is also a Greene King restaurant and the food has been excellent there. So thought this would be a safe bet. But the food difference between the two is like night and day. Even though they cook the same food.

Visited the Old Brewery tonight for a family dinner. Was very impressed by the service and the food, the small plates are perfect for the family too share as well as your usual pub dishes like steak pie/fish and chips. We will be back again very soon.

Myself, my partner & my dog are in the old brewery mostly every Tuesday. Not only just for the fantastic food and range of desserts but mostly for the atmosphere , the staff are so welcoming Devon & Donna & the super talented chef very friendly & super friendly to our dog as a water bowl is always offered. 10/10 service.

Went for dinner with my son. The halloumi fries were to die for as was the fish and chips. Service was quick and Anna who was behind the bar but also served our food was really lovely. Totally recommend this place for quality pub grub and friendly staff !

Place has gone down hill in my opinion. Ordered the steak and ale pie with chips. The only edible thing was the steak itself. Pastry was cold and tough. Chips were luke warm and broccoli was cold. My husband ordered the mac and cheese and said it was barely edible Won't be back in a hurry

Ordered three burgers one came and was literally just bun with chop up pieces of burgers. When we said this isn’t what we ordered and shouldn’t it come with chips they came back with a cold plate of chip. It wasn’t until they heard how disgusted we were the staff came over and said they gave us the wrong order ( we were the only people in the bar) new burger came again with another cold plate of chips. All burgers not great to be honest, had better at McDonald’s. Not only this one of the staff had brought their little boy to work with them and he was running about the bar and table, not what you want when you out for a relaxing lunch with friends. All in all the old brewery has went very down hill and I won’t be back.

Friendly staff, not very attentive. I ordered a drink from the app, and it took almost 15 mins before I mentioned it to the manager, and it was given to me in seconds. Food was as good as always.

Just home from having a meal here ..we pop in a lot on a Sunday .. meal was a disgrace ..my sis had fish cooked badly I had Lasange..could hardly get my knife through it ..my Mum had steak pie could hardly cut through pastry ...we were offered a sweet .. could see if had been busy .but was empty (wonder why ):: just lost 3 good customers .. won't be back .

Just had lunch and the food was terrible worst I've ever had in this pub. We complained and were offered a sweet for free but declined. Bar staff were friendly and apologised to us but no apology from the chief!! Won't be back.

Ordered two macaroni and cheese, we got macaroni with some melted cheese on top no sauce at all, two bowls of dried up disgustingness, obviously was a reheat. Didn’t complain at the time as it had been a long day and we were starving, Used to come here a lot and never had a bad meal, but I won’t be back now.

Great Night out with the missus, staff were quick and efficient, and the place is lovely to sit in. Nights can get lively and the experience is great.
