Just had fish and chips, to start with there was very little fish just batter and the chips were cold. No way would I ever recommend this place, I shoul have taken it back.

Excellent choice on the menu. The best fish and chips, excellent service, friendly staff. I would highly recommended.

One bag of chips... this is medium. Not sure why small would look like. And they stick so half of them remained stuck to the paper Shame

We visited Stafford during a caravan holiday. We had fish and chips twice from this Fish Bar and on each occasion they were excellent. The fish was thick and flaky and the batter was crispy not soggy. The chips were just as i like them slightly crisp on the outside. The portion size was huge and the price very reasonable. We have eaten at several fish and chip shops on our travels in our caravan, but these were one of the best. Friendly staff and well worth a visit.plenty of on street parking with a co-op across the road for bread and butter and of course the beer to wash it down.

I have been using this chippy for years. The food is excellent, the staff are lovely. I couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended

If you like your kebab dried out curled up and old (been warmed up all day i guess) then enjoy!!!!!!!!

had fish and chips from here and they were awful.chips were still a bit raw and fish was a grey colour. batter was soggy.if it wesnt for the fact that it was raining i would have taken them back.

Very good service but too many chips. The curry sauce is the best I have had and the kebab meat is good

Sorry but food is not nice oil chips that have a weird uncooked taste to them fish that is soggy and batter that is tasteless last piece i had i found 4 bones in it. Gravy again tastes like nothing. Southern fried chicken was nice now its gone up in price for 2 pieces and chips to 3.80 ill be going up the road and getting the same meal for 60p less overall i would not recommend

For the times I have visited this place it has never changed always giving friendly service fantastic food...

We had a group of people meeting up at a local community centre and decided to have fish and chips. The staff were excellent, telling us the best value for money. We all ended up having the fish special. The meal was pre ordered and ready at the time asked. Good value and good food. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered our meals which included a large fish, this was ordered upon entering and was told there was 1 in! When I got home to a hungry husband and kids the children's food had a big hair in and my husbands fish was one that had clearly been left since lunchtime (this was partly why I ordered the large so I didn't get one from the window as the shop had just opened for tea so I assumed they were from lunch) it tasted chewed and not very fresh at all. Overall it all went in the bog all £18 worth. I rang and they offered a £4 refund for the fish, surely they should realise it wasn't just the fish but overall it was unfit to eat having had to remove hair! Shocking pathetic service!

We had a big order had family over They got all the order wrong different prices from what was on the menu on the web page the prices was higher in the shop it self The doner meat was cold dry and so thickly cut could not eat it at all we travel 3 miles because wanted to try some where new will not bother ever again

Always use this chip shop as it's simply the best! Food always great and not over priced! Can't say anything else ;-)

Lovely fish and chips - friendly staff - our favorite!! Always fresh - a very popular take away with great selection of pies and kebabs. You get a good portion for you money.

Called now and again on way back from work,Friday or Saturday,,no problems,good portions,friendly staff,clean and reasonably priced,but all of a sudden on my last two visits the fish has been so greasy,l folded the wrapping over and dabbed the fish loads of times and it was still soaking up the grease,,when taking the fish out it need tapping a couple of times on the side of the fryer to get rid of excess oil.or the fish has been battered then dropped into warm oil not hot oil,,shame really because this is a lovely local chippy,,,will try again soon to see if it was a minor gliche,hope they can sort it,,

Always use the Northern Lights as my local chip shop, staff are friendly and polite, food is always good and decent sized portions.
