The Nickelodeon, Greene King Pub & Carvery in Wolverhampton

My husband and I visited the Nickelodeon on a Thursday afternoon for a carvery which was served by Raff who was friendly, polite and professional, if your looking for a enjoyable meal this is the place to visit

Can't fault the hospitality at all. Amazing Esp Sam.

Sam who helped was excellent pleasant and helpful,drinks were OK,but the meals varied beef and ale pie was awesome,the hunters chicken,was more like hunters budgie,way to small a portion, but in general enjoyable

Initially only went in for a drink,was a nice afternoon so sat outside but the smell from the food made us all (5 in total)feel hungry.Two of us had the carvery which was very good and two had the chicken combo which they also enjoyed.Good valve,good food,lovely staff.Thanks,we will be back.

Good carvery. Value for money. Experience spoiled by children running around but no fault of the establishment could be supervised by parents better.

It's a worn out pub, but bigger.

I can't recommend this pub for food at all. Ok if you want a drink and to watch the sport on TV. Tables were sticky and toilets were unclean. Service was slow even though the place wasn't full. We were a table of 9 adults and 3 children, starters for 3 of us took ages and then another long wait for mains. Mostly everyone was ok with their food but the Mixed Grill came without the egg, the steak was charred on one side, chicken was overcooked and too dry. Another order the burger was only warm and this person has reported concerns with a tummy upset today. I had the carvery, the vegetables were only warm, the roast potatoes hard and the pigs in blankets I had to ask for as the server didn't see we'd added them to the order. I believe I had food poisoning, all day from 9am-5pm today I have been very ill. I will never use this place again. Staff were friendly though.

Went here yesterday for my son's 13th. He was so excited to have a pub dinner. Went as a family of 12 and overall the only good thing was the taste of the food and some staff were friendly. Firstly my sister ordered a burger and it was cold, fries were cold, lettuce was dirty. Second- My aunty had the carvery and at the time no concerns, she has today been very sick. Food poisoning from something. Third- the service here is horrendous!! Over an hour we were waiting for food to be done, had to have someone to go up and remind them we hadn't been served yet. With young kids of needs dining too, they can't be expected to wait that long for food. Fourth- the toilets were filthy! Didn't even want my little girl to go back in there to use them. Can't say I would recommend this place to anyone to be honest. As we're local I always wanted to try here, I won't be going back, very disappointed.

Me and my sister took my Mom and Dad for their 51st Wedding Anniversary Meal. Food was good and staff were friendly, wishing them a happy anniversary. Which made it more special.

This pub is an average of which I’ve been so far. Mostly is super busy so you cannot even get proper seating and the waiting to be served is even more insane. However staff is quite friendly. When is football match it is not point to come in as you will not be able to hear even your own thoughts 💭 thats how loud the TV is. But other than that nice choice of drinks.

Haven’t been in a while but went today while I was waiting for a prescription from boots. Kids eat free so this surprised me, very good value for money. The lady on the front was lovely as she was to every person that stepped through the door- she deserves a lot of recognition and a pay rise for sure! Short hair, took my order, not sure on her name but very bubbly. The meal wasn’t the best, hardly any salad on the burger, had to add more mayo on, wasn’t nicely presented but at the end of the day it’s pub grub so.

Menu is mish-mashed, think your looking at something then read it's only Mon to Thurs, no cod and chips I mean what's with that rest of menu is boring you'd find in every and any pub so I go for carvery then at least you can pick your own to a certain extent and no instruction on queueing for till as it runs through middle of pub alot and restricts you moving around unless you have confidence to just barge through them which could invite violence in people in queue especially after a drink

A friend and I stopped for a bite to eat... nothing amazing.

Carvery, Sunday, good value for money, we're able to request a table, sat in a preferred area. Waitress, Meg, very polite, checked if all was OK with our meals, lovely young lady, helped us out with our request at the end of the meal. Man that serves the meat, very welcoming and amenable, overall pleasant experience, we are repeat customers for Sunday lunch.

When I went in I ordered food but they missed one of the children's meals off the orders, but when I notified staff it was put through quickly so impressed with that. Me and my husband had carvery as we have had this before, this time however, the meat was hot but everything else was lukewarm and Yorkshire puddings looked great had no taste and parsnips were very hard, and very little veg again disappointing and onion gravy they had none

had a lovely warm welcome and drinks were on two for one as we visited between 4 and 7 on a wednesday. great value for money

Visited yesterday, 11am, carvery didn't start till 11.45, meats from the day before, dry and crumbling, no potato in the roasters, had clearly been deep fried, literally dust in my mouth, drinks ok, service ok

We had a great experience thanks to Sam at the Nickelodeon! She went above and beyond to help us save money and was incredibly friendly throughout the whole process. It’s rare to find service this genuine and helpful—Sam made our visit that much better. Highly recommend! Didn’t catch the name of the second server but also very lovely!

Fantastic carvery and great staff

My first time in a Nickelodeon and it didn’t disappoint!!! I had a great time with my girls. Samantha had great energy which enhanced my experience!!!

Great atmosphere and the attitude of the staff was polite, attentive and very helpful. The 2 for 1 on drinks is a great incentive and the carvery was much better.

Sam really looked after us makes you feel at home and the food was lovely we come every week now.

The atmosphere was very nice, our server Sam was very friendly and approachable , the food was good and came out in a reasonable time , would recommend if you were coming out with kids or friends.

I have always walked past this place and today I thought why not try it. From the get go ordering drinks the lady at the bar was unwelcoming and looked really annoyed asked for a straw for my wife's drink just a resounding NO. Ordered the carvery and the chef bless him no problems was lovely and welcoming but the food ( maybe not his fault ) potatoes were rock solid inside and out, as well as the beef was cooked dry and the gammon had a funny taste and smell I knew from then something was wrong but continued to eat as I didn't want to waste it wrong decision my stomach is in bits now the pint of Guinness I ordered was flat not poured correctly but the lady with the glasses clearing the tables we said bye to when leaving was lovely also finished the drinks by the canal and left didn't want to raise anything there as my wife was worried as we are not locals there so we just left afterwards don't think I will return if I'm honest.

Called in for quick bite, once got app ordering and paying was not too difficult.food arrived quickly and was good portion and tasty.

Food was alright. I had a meltdown burger (a burger with a "bowl like" cutout on top bun) which sounded good but once it came It was a dilemma. I can't pick it up as I'll put my fingers in cheese, can't cut it in half as that'll make it pointless and I can't eat it with a knife and folk because I'm not a weirdo who eats a burger with knife and folk. The carvery meat was dry, the veg (whilst tasty) was too salty. The pint of lager was flat. The queue at the bar was long and no one knew if they had to queue or not.

The Carvery is great, generous slices of tender meat. A great choice of vegetables all served hot. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Food was nice however Yorkie was over cooked and not much option of foods

The Nickelodeon is my go to as a disabled customer, the food is lovely and the staff go above and beyond to make your time memorable I recommend this place to everyone

An enjoyable time at the Nickelodeon, Chloe our waitress was always on hand to help with drinks and ordering food. We would recommend booking in advance as it is very busy.

Went here for a meal after bowling with family, have to say was very disappointed to say the least had to wait nearly an hour for the food to come out and when it did come out it was just luke warm instead of being hot my son had a childs double burger which was burnt and the buns were rock hard, my sister in law had the gammon which made her feel sick after she'd eatn some because it tasted funny. Spoilt a a good night out all in all never had an issue with food in the past to be honest don't think I'll be coming back again.

Food wasn't very nice couldn't eat it...felt sick due to it being burnt and tasted funny...also the toilets where nasty and by the look of it wasn't cleaned that often.....had to wait over an hour for our for our food all in all bad experience definitely won't be coming again

Had to wait over an hour for our food I had fish chips peas it was cold and fish burnt peas were brown my son in law had mixed grill the steak was so tiny get more meat off a buggie. staff came round a few times shouting orders as if they were clueless of who had ordered what . Very disappointed won't use knickalodeon again I'll stick to the gatehouse Stafford road never a fault with there service oh an some weird women kept coming round looking with a clip board so un professional bad experience all in all

Haven't been here in a while tried today was very busy sat down for food after food came we noticed a nasty cold draft coming past our table making the meal uncomfortable asked to be moved but they couldn't had to ask for a refund as it was ruining the experience I'd say food was mediocre today though it as been outstanding in the past just a very disappointing visit and won't be coming back any time soon avoid table infront of the carvery if you don't like constant chill down your back while eating all caused by the outside front and back door being locked open meaning the inner doors swinging open and closed due to the wind I don't get why at the start of spring what's the temperature barely getting above 10 ° probably much lower with the wind chill factor you would lock the doors open where's the amount of cars parked out the front then you get guests coming in waiting to be seated holding the inside front doors open Force in the back doors to swing open as well it was really uncomfortable experience which could have been avoided according to staff it's something they know about but can't do anything about would have been better off eating outside really you should be doing better than providing that sort of experience I've had a great time here in the past so again very disappointed

Good ol' great British pub grub ! VERY reasonable prices and lots of options in both food and drink. Only doesn't get 5 stars as the queuing system at the bar can result in a long wait even when it's not that busy. As long as the app is running fine it's bliss !

Nice pub and carvery was excellent there's just no clear point in which order to get served at the bar people just stand at either side of the already que at the bar and get served before others in the main que

First time visiting The Nickelodeon. I had a carvery and my wife had a curry. The chef cut the turkey/beef to a good thickness. (Our local carvery, the meat is so thin you can see through it!) The veggies were varied and well cooked. The curry was tasty and cooked fresh. We'll definitely visit again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Had a carvery and daughter had hunters chicken. Fries and chicken were very dry. I would have complained but staff rushed off feet as it was extremely busy as well as the bar so daughter left still hungry. Carvery meat great, the rest not so great.

It's always great service, but I haven't been for a while. Went on a Sunday but it is sp popular. I had to wait 1.5 hours to get to carvery. But that isn't a negative as if it wasn't good, the wait wouldn't have been so long. Had to wait as mom couldn't stand in queue long. Worth a visit week days are better.

Lovely meal carvery was lovely and my gammon was lovely. But went to get hot drinks we both asked for decaf coffee they do not do all any asked about any specialty teas like camomile , ginger and lemon so was both rather disappointed

Ok I went Today with Dad as bit of change,I pre booked our table in Advance for two people, We ended up with four table which i wasn't bothered about.The Atmosphere was good it was very busy the service was good.The food was ok my only thing was the carrots and sprouts where slightly underdone i'm not a picky person anyway.Price was a tad expensive but that's the cost of living for you.I think next time if we go again it will be an early visit or a weekday just because of how busy it was.Overall i would give a 6 out of 10.But bear in mind every day is different so you may have a better experience than we did.

Hi my family and I decided to eat at Nickelodeon, Bentley Bridge Food - appalling my husband had pie and mash. The mash was cold and a huge lump dumped on his plate. My grand daughter and I had a carvey and it was same with the mash, Yorkshire puddings awful My daughter had hallumi again horrible. The service at the till the poor woman was doing several jobs at a time, hence a long wait at the till Atmosphere - dull and not inviting we shall not be returning

Went for a carvery on a Sunday and it was super busy but thats not the pubs fault. Special mention to the young barmaid with black hair tied back, she was polite and friendly.

We were served by a lovely lady called Sam and the service was fast and efficient and she took in consideration about allergy’s and was very friendly
