It was sad to visit The Mill to discover that it was closing The food as usual was great .. but things change and Drew and his team are moving lock stock and barrel to new premises at The Queens Hotel, 1 Bank Street, Rawtenstall to the BRAND NEW Queens Bistro Opening 24/10/22 and I for one will be there to sample both the New Breakfast Menu and some super new dishes along with old favourites. Thank you for the past and look forward to the future. Good luck

Lovely to go to a new cafe for a light lunch. Very busy and staff a little stretched, but staff friendly and food was worth the wait. Would go again

It’s been a while what with COVID etc so it was nice to return to our favourite eatery. I am pleased to say nothing has changed, the Service was excellent and the Food better than every. The Special plate meat pie looked delicious but I went for the Chicken Noodle Salad which was amazing. My wife choose the Salmon Salad which was really really good. The fact we could enjoy a glass of wine and chilled beer helped us enjoy our meal. For desert it was Lemon Tart and Lemon Meringue but it was hard to choose. So my recommendation is visit this wonderful cafe as often as you can Great Value for money Great food and a Great place to eat and drink

Very impressed with the quality of the food, much better than you expect from a "pub lunch". I had the salmon and dill mayo sandwich ( salmon was tasty and plentiful) my husband enjoyed the BLT on dried tomato bread, french fries were hot and crispy. We wouldn't normally have a dessert with lunch but couldn't resist. There was a good assortment of cakes, we chose the pavlovas which were amazing.

Wow!! is the best word to describe the Afternoon Tea served here. Presented on a picnic bench. A great selection of savoury and sweet items. A small cup of soup, a savoury hot pie alongside open sandwiches. Milk shake, and beautiful cakes. Everything fresh and delicious. Although we tried hard we couldn't finish it all but not a problem a small box provided to take the left over goodies home just perfect. The staff here are friendly and service is great. Andrew the chef certainly knows how to cook and present food. Would highly recommend as a treat or a special gift.

Having viewed and experienced a number of eateries in the area following the health pandemic I cannot recommend this cafe enough. Their commitment and level of hygiene keeping customers and themselves safe during this time is excellent. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It is a local gem which I hope can survive these rocky times. Seriously if you are looking to go out and support local but want to do so safely this is the place to visit if you are in Helmshore/Ramsbottom/Haslingden.

We were actually looking for the Albert Mill but found this little cafe. Unfortunately it was a mistake - felt like an unventilated sauna - dirty table, although the lass did make a half hearted attemp to clean it - soup of the day all gone - meat and potato pie all gone - ended up with a sad baked potato cowering beside some shredded stuff purporting to be cheese, and dowsed in a spoonful of Heinz baked beans - to cap it all, the coffee had the flavour of chimney soot Park Mill cafe......Hmmph!!.....My suggestion would be to park yourself somewhere else!

Went today for lunch, they had run out of almost everything and what they did serve was passable at best, it is overpriced and the girl serving with the longest pointy blue false nails we that just should not be acceptable in a catering establishment. Save your money, there are nice places with better food and better value locally.

The Mill Café is right on our doorstep, so we called in on a snowy day for an impromptu lunch. Hubbie and I both had the dish of the day - Potato pie, served with red cabbage or beetroot. Represented good value for money at £4.25 (I think). Will definately be popping in again very soon. Quite fancy the sound of the afternoon tea!

Always a lovely experience when visiting The Mill Café. The staff are so friendly and efficient and put the needs of the customer first at all times. All food is freshly cooked by a great Chef and always delicious using fresh produce. The atmosphere is relaxing friendly and offers great food at reasonable prices. It is open 7 days a week and I would highly recommend a visit.

Visited several times since change of ownership and everything has always been satisfactory . Today however it was not . Firstly they’d run out of ham and coleslaw - staple ingredients of this cafe I would have said . There were tables full of pots and the staff were just hanging around drinking cans of pop . When they did serve the tables they were apologising for the long wait for food . The food however was as always lovely

We started visiting the cafe about a year ago as we look after our granddaughter 2 days a week. We go for coffee and some breakfast twice a week. The staff are wonderful, really friendly and so good with our grandchild. Today we had the great joy of experiencing Afternoon Tea a treat bought for Mother's day. This is the best we have ever had. The picnic bench is amply full with beautiful fresh sandwiches, a small cup of soup and a delicious small meat and potato pie. The sweet treats a scone with jam and cream, a macaroon, a meringue and a strawberry and custard tart just sublime! along side tea or coffee just wonderful and great value for money. We would highly recommend this for a special treat or a present. The friendly staff and great food make this place a little gem and well worth a visit.

I love to stop in this place hidden away in an old mill. The menu is limited to variations of sandwiches, baked potatoes, salad, soup, cheese and onion pie and a daily special. I love the cheese and onion pie; served with a very fresh salad and cold slaw. The meal salads are so colorful with variety and loaded with protein. They do make a meat and potato dish that is just like my mum would make. It is served piping hot with red cabbage; the best on a cold day The desserts are all home made and a feast for the eyes.. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Prices are very fair. They are now open for longer hours that make it more convenient. The only problem is the big step up at the entry but it will not stop us visiting.

Found this wonderful place after tip offs from various people, visited yesterday and what a treat. Whilst it is not a sumptuous venue it is honestly welcoming and homely . The food was wonderful, I watched as the busy cafe was visited by lots of people who obviously know that what's on offer here. There was a wide range of choices plus specials too, As it was a nice sunny day I went for the Tuna Nicoise Salad, a really tasty dish (Best I have had) but there were lots of lovely looking dishes flying out from the busy kitchen.

Called for lunch, very busy but managed to get a table straight away. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. We both had Dennis's meat and potato pie and it was delicious, served with beetroot and pickled red cabbage. The latte coffee was lovely and hot and my husband was in seventh heaven with his pot of tea, managed 4 cups out of it!! Parking is not too bad, limited spaces opposite but some on road parking. Will definitely go away

Popped in to meet a Friend for lunch having been a couple of years ago. Friendly staff and a suitable menu from sandwiches, soup and jacket potatoes with cakes, puddings and ice cream. A good cup of tea with plenty of it, milk jugs didn't pour well though. Potato pie a speciality with red cabbage and beetroot, according to hubby not as good as last time, he didn't leave any though! Cheese toastie was full and a tasty cheese. You can park on the road outside if there are spaces.

Do not pay in advance. If they do not deliver they will not refund you, which technically is FRAUD. I ordered food online, it said they were open, but then they closed early and claimed to have not seen the order. Repeated calls, manager unavailable, still waiting for refund over a month later.

Great friendly service, food was spot on... cheap and cheerful, great food for the price, lots of choices for drinks... although I would have liked a Stella, there's nothing to whinge or moan about, friendly bar staff. The self service station for condiments works a treat as you don't have to wait around to ask for sauces, knives forks etc... 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was told by the owner the 14inch pizzas are cooked in a 12inch pan, they are false advertising, they are tiny. My '14inch' pizza was 12inch at most 11inch in some parts, I've got pictures evidence. My 'triple cooked fries' were big fat undercooked chips like mash potatoes. My sauce didn't get sent. The owner made excuses for a few minutes refused to refund me and put the phone down on me. By that time the food was cold and I feel sick as I was so badly treated. Disgusting food & disgusting service. I will be contacting trading standards.

Ordered two hours ago and still waiting for food to arrive. Gave them a quick call and was told it would be another 15-20 mins. It's a long time to wait for food. **Update - We have ordered from here before and food has been lovely but they cancelled the order after seeing this review so we’ll never be ordering again unfortunately. Such a shame and interesting that they still have time to keep an eye on google reviews when food has taken over two hours to make!
