The Meeting Place Bistro in Perth & Kinross

Z’s has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, helped by the log fire on a cold January night. Staff were friendly and helpful. A wide choice of menu and wines. The breaded fish and Thai Curry were delicious. So pleased, we’re going back for more tonight.

I had a really lovely meal here tonight with my family. The food was 5* quality, really tasty and fresh. Props the chef. The atmosphere was so cosy with the warm fires after a lovely day out in Dunkeld. The staff were really welcoming, attentive and friendly. Being able to access good restaurants with our dog is so important to us and this restaurant is very dog friendly. Offered water, treats and plenty of cuddles. We are so happy we stumbled across this restaurant and will definitely be returning the next time we visit Dunkeld.

The food was good, although a little on the cool side but when I mentioned this they returned the starter and provided a fresh plate of Prawns. Main courses were absolutely delicious but again not hot but we didn't bother saying anything on the main courses. We finished off with a lovely dessert and the cheese platter was delicious with plenty of oatcakes provided. Could not finish it all. Would definitely go back.

We had heard about this place, but never visited before. We had our Spaniel with us, and she was made very welcome with her own blanket and water bowl provided, along with a biscuit! For ourselves, we indulged in some very nice Cullen Skink, and shared a Brie and Bacon ciabatta ( we only wanted a light lunch). The service was excellent, and the value for money was good. We would definitely come here again if we are in Dunkeld again.

Really lovely setting, decor is great and the staff are lovely. But the food is really poor. The pork and chorizo burger is an abomination. It has the strangest texture, like a block of solid pate, really weird to eat. Seafood basket is absolutely flavourless, literally nothing going on. Chicken burger is very slimy and the veg served with the salmon is so overcooked and odd. Plus points, chips are good and the breaded haddock is nice. First I’m here, overall very disappointing.

On our way to pitlochry we stopped here for lunch. I ordered the seafood risotto, menu says it has " prawns, mussels, calamari & scallops" I received a bowl of rice with mussels & squid rings? Very disappointed & just wont go back.

Went for important wedding anniversary and was very impressed with both the food and service. Tasty and well presented dishes really were worth the little bit extra. Very attentive staff made the evening really pleasurable. Will be back for another treat soon.

Friendly reception and good food. Pets always welcome. However wee nasty in a pudding dish rapidly replaced but apology weak and concession absent. For the second time ((visited in May) a discount voucher offered after the bill was prepared Discount not taken off the bill- rather ‘come back and use it the next time.!!! We have been twice. First time we had pizza which was fresh, had a lovely soft, what seemed homemade, base - delicious. And one of the vegan / veggie meals - of which there are quite a few, which attracted me in, chuffed to find things other than fish and chips, pizza and pasta - a green glass noodley dish with bok choy and broccoli which was so salty I had to leave half of it. On our second visit we had another pizza, which seemed not as fresh and not piping hot. And another dish from the 'healthy' menu, butternut squash and beetroot risotto, which I'd hoped would be either a risotto made from veg rather than rice, or with beetroot purée through it. Which was basically a plain white stock-seasoned risotto with some pieces of vegan cheese, beetroot and squash stirred into it. Tasted ok but a bit lack-lustre.So possibly a little bit of expectations getting ahead of us.Staff: great.

Came here Saturday (30th March) for dinner. I had the pizza and hubby had the scampi & calamari basket. Both very tasty. I also had a lovely Whitley Neil Rhubarb & Ginger Gin - very nice! Lovely restaurant which is very dog friendly, if you happen to have a 4 legged friend with you.

Visiting Dunkeld for a country walk along Tay river to admire the winter scenery of the area, we decided to have dinner at the Meeting place. Nice decorated pub/bistro, the dining area was spotless, the service was excellent, warm and friendly, a wide variety of different dishes on the menu and the food was cooked to perfection and nicely presented. What a perfect place to finish our day.

We had a nice lunch at the meeting place only criticism was the soup was not very hot may have been put in cold bowls. Nice bread along with the soup.
