more people should be eating here because the food was so good and we were all very pleased, we sat upstairs in the cocktail bar not to sure what the atmosphere downstairs is but it was cosy upstairs, service was good and i’d definitely recommend very underrated spot

Lovely pub with an amazing view off the sea. Staff was really helpful and friendly. Food was absolutely amazing. Cajun chicken wonderful and definitely nice and spicy. Partner had a Parmo and said it was one off the best he's had. Really good value for money. Highly recommend

Firstly, food gets a 5 star even though we didn't eat there. But the food that came out looked banging and there were plenty of customers ordering food. Says volumes really. Only went in there for one drink on our exploration of Saltburn-by-the-Sea but stayed for 3. A very comfortable place to spend a Saturday afternoon and probably every other day of the week too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

Dropped by on a weekday for a quick drink and snack. When we saw the menu we decided to have a proper lunch. Absolutely fantastic quality, portion size and service. Delighted with our choice. Nice, friendly service in a 'safe' pub environment. Fantastic value for money.

Love this place! Food is Amazing! Marina the chef is a great cook!...We had the Italian Casserole & the Lasagne!..The chips are AMAZING!...Drinks are average price! Normally £10-£11 for a pint of lager & a Large Rum & coke...Atmosphere is great always busy on a day/night time & they have sport on the tv's & a Large screen if matches are on...There's also another room which is quieter if you want to chill & there's lots of outside seating in the Summer months...It's facing the Beach so in a perfect spot! Also there's a room upstairs which is a cocktail Bar called SALT...You can watch a band or group up there & food is served there too...Great place for Families with kids aswell & they also let Dogs inside...

My son and I ordered fish and chips on wed 3 September .on reflection I should have send the meal back the only thing I was able to eat was the fish inside the hard batter .the chips tasted ok but where soggy and peas where not fresh .we went there because the people we where visiting recommended it .it ruined what had been a lovely day.and at £14_99 each was not cheap

Lovely sunny day, sat outside whilst here , food looked nice though we (group of mates) didn't participate , the beer and larger were spot on.

Popped in for lunch when passing. Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was excellent home cooked food, big portions and huge chunks of beef. Superb.

Lovely old pub right on the sea front! Food was very delicious and reasonable and also came very quickly as well! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff! Highly recommend!

Loved this pub as a teen, a bit dated now but nice enough for a chilled drink. Waitress was very pleasant. Lots of empty glasses on tables and a bit unkempt. But maybe I'm just picky? Nice little pub though, does well because of its location.

Nice pub, nice seating at front, food was really nice, staff were friendly. Had the steak pie, lovely and plenty of it, big chunky pieces of meat, extra gravy which was lovely. Plenty chips and a generous portion of peas. The hot chocolate fudge cake also to die for. All reasonably priced. Would go again if in saltburn.

Can't comment on food never eaten here IV seen what comes out the kitchen and it looks good. Great atmosphere when live bands on but can be a bit lively and rowdy, attracts a lot of the younger crowds, ok for value and not bad for a day drink or game of pool either, popular choice amongst many including locals.

Arrived with wet dog in Saltburn looking for a welcoming pub lunch. Found large bar with plush red seating, good music, sport on the telly and a varied menu including options for vegetarians. My half of pepperoni chicken parmo was excellent with really good chips, salads and home made sauces. My wife was very impressed with the vegetable red Thai curry which came with rice, chips and a poppadum. The Sauvignon Blanc in small bottles hit the spot as did the draft bitter. Friendly locals, efficient bar service and reasonable prices completed the experience. Food quality and pricing beats The Ship, where we had gone the day before, hands-down. We will visit again when we return to Saltburn.

Full of sweary shouty 30-40 year olds. Disappointing for a usually nice pub.

Visited here last night. It is like a sketch from phoenix nights. Decor hasn’t changed from the 70’s. Menu that bad that me and the wife refrained from ordering but got scampi and chips plus onion rings for the kids. For want of a better word it was sweaty. anemic scampi, cold chips and greasy onion rings. Rank. Don’t go.

Had a 3 meats roast. Great tasting and looking but a little cool.

Pleasantly surprised by the overall Marine experience... was a sunny busy day when we went with 2 dogs... we were catered for by very nice staff supplying us with a very nice meal... would use again for sure...

What can I say I've been a customer at the Marine for 20+ years, the food has always been good. However today I went for a meal and It wasn't bad it was diabolical. Don't know what has happened but they need to sort it out. Shan't be going back. Shame really.

Always been a favourite of mine, the food is always spot on, the drinks are great, yeah price is up there but so is every pub. Also the staff are a great bunch of people.

The Sunday dinners are fantastic value for money.

Was very busy when we went as had live music on same time as football match playing which we went for. Went with the kids at 7.45pm bought a drink but then told kids to be out by 8pm so had to rush are drinks and leave. Dog friendly though.

Visited the pub today, ordered drinks and panninis for the family. Friendly staff and food was good quality. Dog friendly in the bar which is a bonus as i often take my dog to Saltburn.

Great Sunday lunch today (turkey), washed down with a few pints of fermented apple juice. Spot on! Staff did a fab job of squeezing us in, for which we were incredibly grateful (hadn't booked)

Saturday night. Very busy. Almost exactly as I remembered it, 30 years ago. Only difference seems to be the tv screens.

Warm welcome from the staff. Plenty of choice behind the bar for a drink. we didn't eat but the menu looked good.

On a works outing- we landed here to catch the last session of the band x great chance to get up and dance.

Arguably, the worst parmo in saltburn. Wet parmo, no crisp, breadcrumbs falling off the base. Very greesy and oily. Wouldn't recommend. £9.50 for a half. Out of all of teesside, I wouldn't buy food here again.

Changed a lot. Sticky Tables. Staff don't care. Menu looks good. But can't see us eating off them Tables.

Visited this place in 2018 and had a great lunch, never been able to get back in since as its always busy. Managed to book a table for Sunday and noticed how quiet it was. The food was average, add the price of the dishes and that average becomes poor. We had Lobster £50, halibut £38 and linguine £22. All fair prices if cooked to a high standard, however all three dishes were a little lack luster and not what we were hoping for. It may explain the reason it was quite ? The service was excellent, very attenuative and polite. They just need to get the food quality back up there !

We called in here on the 5th of August looking for some food as we were really hungry after traveling for 3 hrs, We was instantly put off by the decor it was like stepping back in time, we looked at the menu anyway but wasn't impressed if you like chicken you'd be okay because that seems to be norm chicken this chicken that, The place had a musty smell about it, It was on a parr with an old people's home. It looks like it's a place for cheap drinks , would give this place a miss if your wanting food, has it doesn't look clean and cared for.

Nice drinks food service, didn't stop for food but the Sunday dinners were flying out so can only assume it's pretty good for that too

Previously food had been really nice in this pub. However, last night we ordered Hungarian Goulash and the rice was so over cooked it verged on being rice pudding.

My favourite pub in saltburn. Great prices, great service and great food. Nice and spacious and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend the sunday lunches and the parmo. Dog friendly when not a band night - which makes sense

Good little pub in a good spot! Decent selection of alcoholic and soft drinks. Had a proper old school pub vibe with the decor and music. Was nice and casual and was easy to feel comfortable there. Loved that dogs were allowed in, nice thing to see! Sure we'll pop in next time we come to Saltburn :)

Feels like walking into a time capsule, not 150 years ago when it was build but maybe 1970s. Mix between a pub, restaurant and social club. Still offered a great selection of drinks including large gin options and even some craft beers. Quick service and good pints. Price was as expected. Worth showing your face if you are nearby with great views out the front of the seaside.

We stayed nearby and popped in for drinks and food lovely food home made chips and pie was beautiful lovely place to sit and take in the views of the sea 😊

We were, marine virgins!! Glad we tried here. I had pork Sunday lunch which was lovely and hubby had beef. He said the beef just fell apart. I will have to go back and try the beef even though port was great. Thank you.

Went there for lunch but unfortunately the lasagne was still frozen with ice in the middle!....the meal my husband had was good and mine was okay once it had been replaced...dont think we'll risk eating there again. However the barman was a nice friendly chap so might pop in for a drink

Three of us were at this lovely place for a drink on a Friday night. It is like going back in time - in a good way. The prices were low, the draught ale was superb, staff were friendly, and a nice mix of all ages in the bar. What more could you ask. All in all a great atmosphere for a few drinks.

Second visit here, second visit special trip from Barton. Meals are plentiful and always piping hot. Staff very friendly and helpful. More than worth the money and we’ll worth the visit.

Second visit for Sunday lunch. Again fantastic meal, great beer choice and comfortable welcoming pub. All this and Sky Sports. Totally recommended.

Good sized pub, decent choice of drinks, decor a little dated but clean and welcoming

Was very friendly place, staff and locals, we had taken our dog poppy to the pub and asked for a bowl.of water for her and asked what size dog she was as they had 3 different size bowls for dogs, which was very good.
