An extremely friendly cafe with great food. Well worth the trip and I would definitely recommend it.

Discovered this little gem back in 2016 when I used to work at the offices around the corner and haven’t had a single bad experience. 9 years later, I still pop in whenever I get the chance. The breakfast is always delicious and hot - I’ve been getting the same thing since I found this place as I’m a creature of habit! The ladies are all lovely, bubbly and make the atmosphere welcoming. If there’s one cafe you need to try in Manchester it’s definitely this one. Thank you to the ladies for the years of service and I wish you all the best. Charlie.

Very nice English breakfast & good value too (£6 for jumbo breakfast). Definitely will try other stuff from menu next time we go. #updated review a year later# Been going there now over a year since finding them. Tried loads stuff & everything was really good. Currently once every week been going to have Liver ,onions & cheese on ciabitta 😋👌highly recommended. The ladies who work there are all great,friendly too.

Proper lunchtime cafe. I had the Bacon bap with an orange juice. Friendly staff and busy with tradesmen dropping in for their takeaway.

Nice little cafe not far from our house. Loving the cheap prices in comparison to Ancoats prices up the road. Definitely will stop by again for some breakfast.

Had my pants down this morning. Called in for a brekky. Ordered the jumbo. No mushrooms, no brown sauce like I asked. No tea or coffee. Ordered 2 cans which came to £8.40. If you want run of the mill food, this is your place. Bacon and sausages are the kind you buy for £15 and get about 100 slices etc. Does it serve a purpose? Yea, is it great? No. Will you need to drink 5 litres of water after eating it, most definitely. Doescget busy with trades etc who can't park for shit and block half the road up. Yes I see it daily as I live 100 yards away. 6/10

Great cafe & friendly staff. We had a jumbo breakfast and a veggie breakfast. Both had plenty on the plate & were well cooked & tasty. Hot drinks were charged separately and we had coffee and hot chocolate which were good. There is street parking outside & parking bays to the side.

My daughter and I visited on Saturday 4th May for breakfast. We were visiting the area for the first time and went for a walk looking for somewhere to have breakfast.The staff were happy and friendly. The other customers,who were obviously regulars, were very helpful; they chatted and joked with us and gave us directions how to get to places we wanted to see on our walk around. The atmosphere in the cafe was relaxed. The food was very tasty, good quality and great value for money.

This place was more than I expected. Me and my partner wanted a full English breakfast as we were on our way back home earlier than we had expected. So driving home from Manchester City centre I asked my partner to look for somewhere to go to eat and The lunch box came up on goggle maps. Theres quite alot of houses being built in the area so some places can serve "anything" 😒. Called in ordered our food from a nice lady behind the counter 2 "Medium full English" 1 with and 1 without mushrooms and a couple of coffees. Got the coffees went and sat down was brought our food and I haven't had a better breakfast in a long time. Fried Egg done how I wanted, Sausages already sliced nice thick "nice and tasty" 😋 bacon with beans and tomatoes, and a piece of fried toast, with a couple of single sliced toast on a separate plate. We both enjoyed it and was worth every penny. Thanks ladies 💯 %.

Called in after the local Saturday morning parkrun at Philips Park on the recommendation of a friend. Wasn’t disappointed! Although there are only 2 tables inside (seating 4 each) plus a breakfast bar with stools, we got a table straight away at around 10:30am. I got the biggest breakfast on the menu which was a very reasonable £6 with a coffee included. Coffees came to the table immediately, breakfast took only 5 or so minutes. Food was lovely. Staff were very friendly (asking about our run). Don’t be put off by the less than tidy surroundings, it’s a great value traditional cafe inside and well worth a visit.

Food is really nice only thing that lets it down is one staff called Barbra never met a more miserable person on my life, hates life, hates her job and hate people when she isn’t there even the other staff smile and have banter so for that reason I’m out

I highly recommend to visit The Lunch Box! The place is very authentic - it’s most often visited by the local community. We were the only tourists at breakfast today. The service was so nice & super helpful. The food was delicious! We decided to order two MEDIUM English breakfast sets & two JUMBO English breakfast sets. Both sets included free coffee/tea and toasts. The portions were huge! And the price was very good! Medium size breakfast set is only 5,5£, the bigger one (jumbo) is 6£. Love this place!
