Just when I thought it could not get any worse. Tonight’s experience was the worse I have had at any restaurant or bar anywhere. I had got used to the slow service over numerous visits since opening, but tonight was unbelievable, I will not list it all here as an official complaint will be completed and sent tomorrow, but suffice to say I will never go here again and will be informing all the local residents and friends of our experience. Appalling customer service and behaviour edging on illegal.

This place has undergone a re-vamp and now has space heaters, picnic tables and new bright decor to lift the space. Decent coffee too, and food all at pretty reasonable prices. Apparently there will be a private party room soon available, which will help keep the space super chilled at weekends too. Nice!

El Lounge no solo tiene un gran espacio de cafetería en el lugar, sino que realmente disfruto del servicio y la calidad que brindan con su opción de catering externo. Recomiendo encarecidamente las empresas intentarlo. También para un espacio de fiesta en la ciudad sería difícil encontrar una opción más rentable.

I love this place! I come every Sunday morning with my 2 year old, and my brother and his 4 year old. It’s a relaxed space with a children’s corner to keep the little ones entertained without disturbing the rest of the cafe, and sofas so I can have a catch up with my brother with a brew and breakfast sandwiches. I get my lunch from here sometimes too while working and the wraps are delicious!

The coffee is great, the food is great, the value is great, the service is even better. Whether you are a skatepark visitor or looking for somewhere with a great atmosphere to eat and drink then this place is definitely worth a visit.

We got the beef sharer (which was DELICIOUS) however, we paid extra to add on ‘all the trimmings’ which turned out to be 3 Yorkshire puddings and some roasties and some kind of onion jam type thing. They were nice…but would’ve expected some kind of veggies given that description. I LOVED the Bloody Mary offerings (Horseradish and Marmite) both were exceptional!

6 Stonegate RoadThe best bar in Meanwood. The best outdoor seating in Meanwood. Some of the best beers in Meanwood. Very relaxed atmosphere, very pleasant staff. Definitely worth a look, check out the Meanwood Tavern and then settle down in Alfred for the evening. Not somewhere to come in a large group but family friendly and plenty of space for small groups of friends.
