Reasonable food, excellent service, nice atmosphere

I rented a space to hold my daughter's party and it was great, all my guests loved it. The owners and staff were very kind and attentive.

Rented the room for a 30th and it was perfect. The staff were awesome aswell highly recommended 👌 good local pub

Hard to judge the atmosphere as when we went there was an event on so apart from one room the rest of the pub was closed off but will be going back as the staff where really nice

Great local pub. Friendly and quick service at the bar. Dog friendly but on Sunday’s it’s outside only for dogs.

Came here for my younger cousins party, and this place definitely considers the children! The play area indoors and outdoors was enjoyed by everybody! The staff were kind, too! My niece also wants to have her 3rd birthday here!

Nipped in for Sunday Lunch, food was ok, choice of three meats and plenty of veg. Friendly staff!

We had a joint 18th party here and it was excellent. The pub and staff were great and friendly the DJ was fab and the bar prices were reasonably priced. Overall a great choice for a party.

What a fantastic place watch your sports in side or out side good selection of beers and wine watch out for special offers on certain drinks three bars one main bar one function room and one snug room with pool table fantastic for all kinds of party's weddings birthday anniversaries fantastic staff must go if u have never been to say we had a great time when we got married the party room was made up Brilliant the food can also be ordered from this place kids play area on the side of function room wood panel's all the way round so your kids are safe plenty of parking spaces

Whilst my niece hired the function room for her son’s 5th birthday inviting around 40 children, whose parents also stayed at the pub for the duration. My niece along with her mum hired an ice cream van, Toy Story characters as entertainment, a bouncy castle and we bought our own buffet for the children and other guests. It was a brilliant party for the birthday boy and all who attended. A lot of money was spent at the bar on drinks and sweets as well, however the venue decided to refused to return the £50 deposit to my niece simply because we bought a small amount of juice drinks for the children attending. I wouldn’t recommend this place as they seem to be incredibly greedy to keep the deposit due to such a small percentage of drinks we bought with us for the children attending compared to what was spent by all the other guests at the bar.(we bought no drinks for the adults) £50 seems insignificant in comparison, in my opinion and comes across as quite frankly just greedy! I feel they should return her £50 deposit as they definitely made more money than they would have on any other day!

We had our wedding reception here on Saturday 8th June. From the minute we booked the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble, they catered for all our needs. We had the luxury wedding package and the room was perfect couldn't of asked for anything better. They decorated the room perfect, the buffet food was lovely and plenty to go round. The dj was fantastic and was happy to play anything that was requested. All our guests kept complimenting the room and how amazing it looked. We would highly recommend the Longbow and we would definitely hire again. Thankyou again Kim and Lee

Can only comment on the beer or rather lack of it. No real ales so had a tonic water. Would not have had that but there for a birthday party. First pub I have been in that does not serve at least one real ale.

We decided to treat ourselves to a carvery at our local pub after hearing so many good things about the food. It didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing . Gammon Turkey and pulled beef were on the menu for us today . I would highly recommend having Sunday dinner there . Also there is a gated park area for the little ones and they had a bouncy castle there as well . All round a lovely couple of hours in the sun .

Chloe was amazing. Been years since I’ve been to the Longbow. Staff on that night excellent. Chloe saw to our every need. Recommend a huge pay rise she was a star and a pleasure to meet. Looking forward more nights at the long bow. Debbie, Billy, Ali and Dais. When we put a tip in the bottle. Chloe said it was too much and pointed out they had a charity box. Humble and kind. Next time we will leave a donation as well as tip.

Went today for the first time with my friend for a carvery. It was amazing everything was fresh and the roast potatoes are to die for staff was very friendly and I will defend go back next week. It’s the best carvery that I have had compliments to the chef xx

Great for a celebration of any sort. With 2 function rooms that are nicely decorated. Staff are welcoming & helpful. Food is very tasty & reasonably priced. Lots of parking & a huge outdoor space with a play area for the kiddies. Good little pub if you want to host a party or just have a pint & a carvery.

Visited the longbow for a family party a few a weeks back which was an amazing night , and then came in last Sunday to try the roast dinner and have to say it was second to none! Great value for money, very clean pub and bar staff are lovely .. credit to Amy and her team.

Fantastic place to go also to have functions

10 of us came today for a roast dinner, it was amazing. Not one bad word to say but a thousand good ones. Each mouthful was delicious and had such flavour. Meat was tender, the food was fresh, pudding was delicious. Lovely friendly pub with friendly staff & customers. Will be back again!

I Had my son 8th birthday party here last weekend, the day couldn't have gone any better! the staff went above and beyond for my sons party who has special needs! everyone commented on how nice the room was. The dj was amazing the food was amazing i cant thank Amy and the team enough!! i will definitely be booking all future functions here from now on. My son had the best day!

Hired out the function room for my sons christening, everything was amazing from the price of the room hire to the decor of the room to the kids area. My guest had an amazing time. The kids loved the play bit the girls were so helpful Chloe went above and beyond to make sure that my sons day went smooth and according to plan she was so helpful and cant thank her enough. The place is lovely, friendly , decent prices as well will deffo use again in future for functions.

Had an 18th birthday party here and have also attended a 18th birthday party.. had a great night both times and can’t fault anything about it.. lovely function room with a dance floor and plenty of seating lovely staff too, got an hour to set DJ up and decoration, definitely a 5***** rating from me Thank you for helping us make a memorable event ❤️

We only popped over to watch the fireworks display. We turned up towards the end which gave us a chance to a few. The fire works where fantastic, really good quality fireworks. They had a huck a duck which was a nice extra. But just don't feel I would come back as the punters are not my type of people.

Had my engagement party here on 14th October. The room was big and spacious with a decent sized dance floor and small soft play for the kids which was amazing and the kids absolutely loved it! Staff were friendly and the dj was really good. Will definitely be booking here for my future parties I absolutely loved it! Thank you!

Had my 30th birthday here over the weekend. Second party we’ve had and cannot fault them on either. Food was great and service excellent. Reasonably priced too. All in all fantastic value

Crazzy crazy prices for a pint of coke £6 never going to this place again

Was here for a wedding and the room was fine (a little small for the amount of people/not enough seating but fine and looked nice!). I ordered a large coke and a small lemonade and was charged £9. I questioned it and was told ‘yeah that’s right - a large diet Coke is £6 and a small lemonade is £3’. I was totally shocked as I have NEVER paid £6 for a pint of diet coke in my life, and I live in Arnold so I know the pubs nearby DEFINITELY don’t charge that. It was genuinely cheaper to buy 2 pints of lager, so I was baffled at their pricing!? We checked it with a few people and we’re assured this was the right price for their soft drinks. The bouncy castle and park outside was a nice touch and my children loved that bit, but I wouldn’t recommend at all because the prices for soft drinks specifically were obscene.

Plus they forgot they were even doing food for the party . was charged £3 each for refill of pop for the party 4 jugs of pop ...£12... .staff were miserable and didn't engage. Wouldn't recommend

Longbow is one of the loveliest places to either relax or party. The staff treat you like a family member and always cheerful and helpful. The food is lovely and I had a 60th there and the buffet was beautiful and tasty. I would recommend for any occasion. Thank you to dee especially for everything.

Great location, lots of parking. Very child-friendly - with an indoor & outdoor play area. I used this place for mine & my boyfriend's 30th birthdays. It's free to hire, you just have to pay a deposit which is returnable after the party. It has a good capacity, plenty of seating and has a dance floor. Drink prices are reasonable and the bar staff are friendly enough. I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to hire somewhere for a party.

Only here for the function room at the back. The room was a good size. Overlooking the children's play area with a separate entrance. The pub looked ok, probably more of a locals pub. The choice of drinks was fair. The only down side was they don't accept card payments which is quite surprising nowadays. I only had a small amount of cash so would have spent a bit more!

Had our sons 21st birthday party here 🎉🎊 I would like to say a massive thank you to Victoria who was brilliant from me booking the room to the night of the party she had everything in hand .. 😁 the room was the right size plenty of seating.. the dance floor was perfect... the food which was well presented and plentiful and was really nice ... I would also like to say thank you to the 2 barman Dean and Alex who did a brilliant job and worked hard ... also to the DJ he was brilliant I would recommend the longbow .... thank you so much Victoria ... Jayden will never forget his 21st 🍺 thank you 😁

Nice pub. They have a family room with an indoor play center and an outdoor play area too. Not eaten here so cannot comment.

We hired a room here for a funeral wake, at an already stressful time with lots to plan, the staff made everything so much easier for us, Nothing was a problem for them, genuinely very nice people that went above and beyond to help, from start to finish. The food was perfect, great selection of drinks , nice large space, nice outside space, gated play area for the kids, and also very clean throughout!! Couldn’t recommend this place enough, thank you so much to the staff for all of your efforts. Highly recommended to people looking to hold functions!

It's good for drinking but I would not recommend booking it for partys because they say one thing but lie

Recently booked for hubby's 50th birthday. Plenty of room, tables and layout spot on, kids soft play inside and also handy outdoor play area keeps all ages entertained. Drinks and bar staff absolutely fab. Good selection of gins. Highly recommend 😁😁😁

I wouldn't even leave it 1 star but I have to. I booked my engagement party here and i had to pay £50 for the room which when I have been to other functions there nobody has ever had to pay for the room just the deposit (which I also had to pay too). The agreement was I get my deposit back if nothing gets broken and and nobody takes their own drinks in. Nothing got broken and nobody took their own drinks in, which I don't blame them if they did as the pub ran out of a number of drinks and had no champagne to celebrate with. Even though they asked me what the party was for and how many people were going. I then got told I'm not having my deposit back because I didn't clean up the rest of my stuff. Which was 4 bowls of food, pasta, potatoes and chicken and rice. Bearing in mind all of the other food got took and they were okay with it. The next day They then told me they had to throw my food away because of rats! I'm not bothered about the food being thrown away at all but telling me because of rats it's just disgusting! Anyway I rang to speak to the manager as I was told to and she was so rude her words were ' you didn't have to have your party here and if you feel like that then stuff you' and hung up on me. Absolutely unprofessional and will not be going back and not recommending to anyone!

Went to an engagement party here, absolutely shocking service no champagne available they ran out of jäger and there was only half a bottle of sambuca available on arrival. The toilets were filthy. Taps don't work in the male and female have an awful aroma of urine soaked into the carpet(vile). No crisps other than a cheap version of wotsits. No water available only a cheap version of fruit shoot.... not ideal for children unless you take your own snacks and drinks. There was a small play area outside and a tint soft play area at the back of the room which are a top selling point. However the toilets are so disgusting and the lack of provisions behind the bar deffinatley will never be back.
