Our second time here having discovered it on our last visit to London in November. Food was as delicious as before. Superb tagines. Definitely one to visit when we next are in London.

Picked this place because it has so many vegan options, although the two vegan mains looked a bit dull so we went for a selection of starters. It was all delicious, service was great and a cosy atmosphere. I would just suggest that any other vegans going here tell them when you arrive that you’re vegan, because they brought us butter with some complimentary bread.

Amazing place, beautifully designed Moroccan deco, delicious food, warm and welcoming staff, definitely be coming again. We ordered the mix Moroccan mezze, harira, chicken tagine, mint tea and mint lemon mocktail. Everything was fresh, light and authentic flavours. The staff all had smiles on their faces and were happy to discuss the food and ingredients, even background to the foods in traditional Moroccan families. Once I realised I’d ordered the wrong tagine (one without cous cous), they kindly brought over fresh warm bread instead. A lover experience, the restaurant is small but we never felt crowded. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

The Instagram account is extremely misleading - please refrain from ordering their chicken tagine, its actually just chicken broth without vegetables or chickpeas or olives and if that isn't a bummer then wait till you hear the fact that food took 45 minutes to arrive at the table. Awful customer service. The waiter didn't introduce himself and placed the wrong food order infront of my 2 year old niece and then refused to take the food bac because apparantly it was "touched". Didn't offer to bring us our original dish and then argued with the whole family that the incorrect dish will also be billed to us. Not only did he make the mistake by putting the wrong food on the table infront of a child, he stood there blaming us for touching the food. Is this wasn't enough they added an extra £25 to the bill from nowhere. Luckily my cousin read through the bill carefully and went through each item until the manager admitted accidently overcharging us by £25. It was a nightmare of an experience and will never advise anybody to go there again unless you want to be on your toes dodging their mistakes I

Despite the reviews, thought this was very ordinary. We ordered the spiced vegetable couscous, which was basically a plate of couscous with three slices of carrot and one of courgette on top. For £13. A Moroccan place has to get lamb tagine right but this one was stringy and flavourless. Nice people but get some flavour in the kitchen.

I absolutely loved this restaurant. The decor, music, food, hospitality *chefs kiss* This restaurant is a hidden diamond. I loved how intimate dinner was even though there was other people in the restaurant and some right next to us. The service was great. Dinner was delicious and we didn’t have to wait long. Bread was given at the beginning with our choice of water - we chose tap water for the table. We started with Batata Harra and Fattoush salad, we shared a mixed grill with salad and rice - this was enough between 2 of us and very reasonably priced. We had mocktails lemon and mint and orange and peach which were very refreshing and tasty. We came to this restaurant on a whim and I am so glad we did. Faisal (I hope I spelt this correctly) thank you for your hospitality and care. A lovely restaurant, with wonderful staff, appropriate ambiance and atmosphere and amazing food. See you again soon. Thank you 🙏

I’d recently been wondering whether there were any decent Moroccan restaurants in London. And lo and behold I spotted the Lantern in Ealing, on the site of many departed restaurants. The owner / manager was gracious in his welcome. The highlight of my supper was the chicken pastilla - I adore pastilla and prefer it to the usual tagines and couscous. Also good were the cold spinach starter and the lamb couscous but in truth the size of the latter overwhelmed me. As yet no alcohol licence, but delicious soft drinks- surely a licence would make it more likely that this welcome new arrival will survive ? Highly recommended.

A beautiful gem of a restaurant in vibrant Ealing. The ambience was second to none. The decor transported me back to holidays in Morocco - beautiful at every angle. The food was delicious and portions were reasonable sized. The staff were very welcoming and courteous, which is also a rare find these days. Nice to have options of quality Lebenese or Moroccan food in one place!!
