The Kettlebridge Inn in Fife

Visited with two old pals for a birthday tonight. Warm welcoming intimate vibe of rough-hewn stone, rafters and candlelight in an old rural Inn with surprisingly first class Italian food freshly prepared by an expert chef. Bar in next room serves decent ales and spirits, all under the masterful charge of Erica the Boss. Really good, thank you. Thoroughly recommended.

If you want amazing food, fantastic service and a wonderful atmosphere this place is a must.

One of the best restaurants you can visit. Erica the owner is the kindest host and always does everything she can to look after you, and her team are the same. The food is incredible and the portions generous - you could pick anything off the menu and be right (though the Penne Norcina is my fave). My wife and I, as well as our extended family, have been visiting the KB for years - we even had our baby shower here recently, in the lovely heated marquee space in the garden. Could not recommend the KB more!

We ate at this charming Italian restaurant last night!!! The food was excellent and the service was warm and courteous. It was a five star experience in a quaint small town. We will be back each time we are visiting Fife, Scotland. Highly recommended.

My youngest son and my daughter-in-law took me out for an early mother's day evening meal. The Inn was full we had to wait 15 minutes over the time booked, but it was well worth the wait. The food was delicious the steak cut like butter, side salad had an amazing dressing the chips were 3 ways cooked perfectly. Dessert was also very delicious. So delicious infact we booked to collect some the next evening to have at home. The service provided was all to a high standard. Staff were polite informative and friendly. I will most definitely be going back very soon.

Fantastic food and service in a lovely wee Inn

Visited Kettlebridge Inn for a celebration dinner and all 5 of us enjoyed delicious mains and desserts. Was a lovely atmosphere and we felt like we had stepped into a quaint restaurant in Italy. We all agreed it was the best meal we've eaten in a long time.

Lovely place. Went for a Valentine's meal. Tasty, generous portions. Cosy atmosphere with lots of fairy lights across the beamed ceiling. Reasonably priced, and friendly service. We'll definitely try to return when we're next in Fife.

We visited Falkland today and looked for a restaurant to have our late lunch. By accident, we found The Kettlebridge Inn which really proved are good choice. The food were delicious, staff were friendly and helpful, we also liked cosy atmosphere inside with the signature of valentine day just a few days ago.

Authentic Italian, with always great specials in addition to the menu. Freshly cooked, highly recommend the anti-pasta for starters. Portion are good, service and atmosphere is great and always welcoming.

This was our first time at the kettle bridge inn since the Mexican restaurant moved and I have to say that tonight’s meal was one of the finest Italian meal I’ve had for a while! I had the chicken with cream and pancetta sauce and the chicken was out of this world with it boing moist and succulent and the the triple cooked chips were like how I remember good old home cooked chips as a kid. The service was great and very friendly which is more than you can ask for with great wine recommendations (although the wife might disagree..lol). The wife had the venison special which was very tasty and great portion sized. This will defo not be the last time we visit this great wee independent restaurant!

First time visit here - menu was excellent. My food was cooked to perfection, service was first class. Will certainly be back to try more off their menu. Take a bow hard working staff!

First visit - last minute booking as we were passing early - Erica was very accommodating and helpful over the phone when I was enquiring - excellent phone manner. We were on a tight schedule - arrived on time - already getting busy at 17:15 ! - four other couples already seated. Erica was delightful when advising on choices - cannot praise the service high enough. Food arrived in plenty of time for us to thoroughly enjoy, as it was excellent all round - we will definitely be back and will be treating some friends. This restaurant is a gem - oh and the beer & wine were excellent. Well done to the team that make it work.

4 of us booked for a family dinner. 1) Staff - fabulous! 2) Ambience - perfect! Although they were really busy, they were attentive but we were not rushed at all 3) Food - really lovely, and all of us cleared our plates, with room for a dessert. 4) Price - very reasonable for the quality 5) Overall - 10 out of 10- we will return!

We've had several meals here over the last few years and also been in for drinks. The service is great, really friendly and helpful. The staff have phoned for taxis for us and always gone above and beyond. We'd definitely recommend and will be back

Never been here before and if you blink you would miss it driving past. However so glad I booked for a family dinner of 8. Welcoming staff, cosy surroundings, authentic Italian food. Booking essential as limited space. Helpings ample, with enough leeway to allow for three couses . Clean plates all round!

5*. A great welcome. Super food friendly and efficient service. It was a birthday treat. We pretended after 43 years to be on a blind date. The food and the ambience made for a very Italian romantic afternoon.

This cosy establishment is a hidden gem. Their customer reviews say it all. Booking is essential. Cheery, welcoming staff. I'm not even going to go through menu but if there is nothing on it to please your taste I would suggest the problem is with the customer.....Rustic charm. All authentic Italian food which takes even the familiar lasagne to another level. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Portions well judged. Clean plates all round. Driving past here you would blink and miss it so make a determined effort to book. It's not open all week so book early to avoid disappointment. I could go on but our party of eight all enthused about the evening.

As it was my wife's birthday, we went out for dinner and had chosen the Kettlebridge Inn. It was outstanding! A warm welcome from friendly staff first, then we were seated in the cosy dining area. We both decided on the chicken dish with the leek/fig sauce, and were delighted with it - full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. Our dessert choices, both involving delicious ice cream, were also a real treat. Decent wine list, and a reasonable selection of low alcohol beers. Two mains, two desserts, a glass of blush wine and a 0.0% alcohol Peroni - £53.50; excellent value for money. Portion sizes were great, too. 10/10 :)

Simply omg good. Proper sauces laced with flavour , creamy, well seasoned. Funghi starter in cream herbs parmesan .... oh yes please and a a good portion size Risotto was stunning and full of deep flavours The chicken is actually not overcooked the sauce was stunning... figs who would have thought it but it so worked Traditional tiramisu with a deep rich chocolate sauce ..... berries 65 quid for 2 starters 2 mains 1 desert and 2 great coffee's Verdict Yes yes yes please. What an absolute we treasure of a place. We where on our way home to cumbernauld from having a wee day out in Fife with the wee one and happened to spot this place on the way past and decided to pop in for something to eat. Visited here whilst staying in the area for the weekend and absolutely loved it. The venue was very cosy and atmospheric, the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming and best of all the food was simply exquisite, with a great range of daily specials in addition to many great options on the regular menu. So tonight we found our own ‘little bit of Italy’ in Kettlebridge, Fife😋 The food was amazing and authentic and want to add our young waitress Nicole was the best & equally were the owners👍 Our first visit but definitely not the last…we will be back. This is our favourite place to eat when we visit our family in Fife. Delicious food - without fail, great service no matter how busy they are, and always a fun relaxing visit. Top menu picks for us are the sharing anti pasti, the king prawn skewers, any pasta dish, the huge pork chop, the steak, and always the tiramisu. But honestly, it's all delicious. Their pasta is outstanding. It's one of the best family run Italian restaurants we have had the pleasure of eating, and drinking in. We're so jealous it's not in our home region! But we'll be back for sure. Thanks again for a wonderful family meal. Book a table and arrive hungry!

I lived in the area for decades, yes decades, and I never knew there was a restaurant of such high standards in the area. The service was excellent, and no one hanging over your table, constantly asking if everything was OK. The food was to die for. The service was great, the atmosphere was lovely. Great little Italian restaurant, food is amazing and the owner is very accommodating for all our dietary needs. My Husband is a coeliac and struggles to get a good range of choices so this is way beyond any other restaurant we have been to, even when it comes to a drink the owner has alternatives for G/F We were made very welcome and felt our visit was appreciated so we will be returning regularly.

Friendly service, great food and an excellent range of drinks. Great stopping place if you are heading tomorrow from the coastal areas of Fife. Parking directly outside. The beer garden is an excellent area if the weather is suitable although even in lighter rain its well equipped with a covered area. Dogs welcome in the bar, sitting also at the front and bar snacks available.
