The Jaggy Nettle in East Ayrshire

Visited this cafe today, beautiful setting, lovely food and fantastic service. Even gave me a wee extra tub of ice cream for my dog! Will definitely return

Can’t commend this place enough! Beautiful location by the river - with its own little sandy bank ☺️Fresh, tasty high quality food, we got starters and mains, intended to have desert but the pizza was so filling (Loaded with topping, best I’ve had) they even boxed up the left overs for us to take home!! Staff lovely, spent time talking to my son and gave him a little game to play too while we waited.Oh and did I mention the price... that was the icing on the cake, unbeatable value. We will be back and will be telling all our friends. Well done The Jaggy Nettle!

Seen this wee place advertised on facebook and heard good things so we decided to give it a go. It only opened in last dec, but what a hidden gem. The food was amazing, it's all cooked fresh to order and very reasonable prices. They are even taking part in the eat out to help out scheme, so only cost us £11 for 2 courses with drinks. We tried this chicken gougons with salad and chips and a cheese and tomatoes panini with salad and chips and 2 drinks and then a bueno/biscoff waffle to finish. Pizzas are available only after 4.30pm which are made in a pizza oven, so were going back soon as they looked so good. There is also outdoor seating beside the river and is dog friendly. Cant recommend this place enough!
