I stayed 1 night here while walking the West Highland Way. Lovely double room by the stream (might be a bit midget earlier in the year). Shared shower room, but with just one other room. Clean, warm and comfortable. Good WiFi. Dinner in the Top Bunk was great. Venison stew with dumplings and garlic potatoes. One of the best meals of my trip.

Stayed for 1 night when doing the west highland way. Picked up from loch side within 5 minutes of ringing to say we were there. Once at bunkhouse it was like entering into a place of tranquility with quirkiness and everyone was so helpful and friendly. Evening meal was excellent and we all struggled to eat the huge portions. The whole place is amazing and well run and nothing is a bother or too much trouble to them. Keep up the good work and we hope to visit again

Loved the location of this Bunk House, felt like a real achievement climbing up through the mountain pass in the rain. Whilst the Rooms are a little small, and some bunk beds are 3 stories (a little scary being on top!) the food was truly out of this world. The venison stew had incredible flavours and the portion sizes were great after a 22 mile hike. We had a mix of mains and my friend couldn’t manage her linguine, that lasted about 5 mins before everyone dug in. My only feedback was the apple crumble needed to have been in a bigger dish, with full size apple pieces as it was a little mushy. The crumble part was great.

Backpacking from Sallochy along a difficult route to Inversnaid to reach this haven. Transport picked us up and transported us to the venue there & back. Great food and hospitality. Staff were brilliant and so helpful. Evening meal, breakfast and packed lunch all excellent so compliments to the chefs. Just a great quirky converted Chapel with good facilities.

The Top Bunk Bistro offers the best food for miles around - mainly because there is few other places to eat! But now I’ve been there, I’d travel a fair old distance to eat there again. It’s set in a disused chapel near a small campsite in a remote area close to the banks of Loch Lomond. We had almost given up hope of finding somewhere to eat when we stumbled across it. Expecting an average meal at best, we were stunned by the imaginative menu and wide choice of food and drink. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient and it’s great value for money. Clearly, the lack of competition hasn’t harmed the excellent standards here. We returned the following evening to sample other delights on offer and thoroughly recommend it.

Brilliant hostel! The staff were lovely and the facilities were clean and well maintained. Although the showers are outside they are very nice. The restaurant upstairs is stellar and overall value for money on the stay was very good compared to other places on the West Highland Way! I would recommend to stay here over the inversnaid hotel any day!

Would first of all like to start by saying the best thing about this place is the staff… big shout out to Pete and Shaun ! They were upbeat and welcoming when picked up after finishing our 2nd day hike doing the west highland way, food was class and even sorted us out with an upgrade to a caravan which was fantastic! When leaving we got a pack lunch made for us and my dog got some nice chicken fillets to prepare us for our day ahead (thanks Shaun)we actually considered booking to stay another night it was so great! We will definitely be back I wish I could give this more stars 🤪if you want a place that’s cosey/quirky and great banter book here you won’t be dissapointed !!!!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Booked a room for 5 on a family roadtrip - 3 teenagers included. Rather than simply give an overall opinion here are my pros and cons as some of these will vary in importance for different people. Pros: The beds were super comfy! Must be good mattresses 😁. The communal/ bistro area is beautiful - stained glass and beams. Games and books to borrow. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The showers in the new block were awesome! Rainshower and directional heads. Picnic tables outside and in a gazebo which is a good idea given the tendancy to rain. Everywhere was clean. Cons: It all feels a bit cramped - the room was very small, the toilet/sink room inside is quite small, the seating area only seats about 6 if you're not eating. The bistro menu sounded delicious and smelled lovely. We had eaten out at lunch so had a picnic for tea but would have thought twice anyway. At around £16 for mains and £8 for desert this would have been a very pricey meal for 5 and we booked bunkhouses to keep costs down! It is quite remote. A good few miles down a largely single track road that is very badly maintained (although very lovely in places). Great if walking (West Highland Way) but takes a while in the car. Very limited car parking. Overall, it worked for us and we had a great night's sleep.

The team at the Bunkhouse were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were picked up in the minibus from the Inversnaid hotel, which saved us walking up the hill 😊. I had a double room with shared bathroom that was basic but comfortable. We had a fabulous vegetable curry in the evening and the breakfast spread was great. Other bunkhouses should take some tips from here.

We stayed here as a group of 8 on our second night of the West Highland Way. Clean, basic accommodation - all we needed for an overnight stay. Staff were lovely, especially with giving us a lift up from the bottom of the hill. The restaurant area is beautiful. As a converted church, it still has the old stained glass windows and other features. Dinner was delicious, special mention for the venison stew, which was amazing. There is a shared shower block, which is a portakabin outside, which was clean and spacious. They provide a packed lunch to take with you for £6.

We stayed here as a group of three in a triple room. The rooms are very small (bunk is three high) but we only needed somewhere to sleep so it suited perfectly. The room, shower (outside main building) and toilets are very clean. Not the quietest of environments to sleep in but that’s not the owners fault, just other guests being a little inconsiderate. One of the guys from the bunkhouse kindly picked us up when we called. It’s a long up hill road after a hard day of walking. The evening meal was excellent and very welcome after a day of walking. We also had breakfast which was great too. They offer a packed lunch which we didn’t try but we wish we had as I’ve heard it’s fantastic. I definitely recommend here for those walking the WHW.

We stayed at the bunkhouse as part of our West Highland Way hike. Be aware that the hotel is 800 meters uphill from the WHW. The hotel is very nice and build inside an old church which is kindda fun. The rooms are bunkhouse style (a bed) and bathroom is shared with the other guests. Prices are fair and the food (both dinner and breakfast) was great and plentiful. The hotel also have a good selection of craftsbeer! The hotel is small and fills up quickly in the high season so book in advance!

I stayed here for one night, and I'd definitely come back again. It's well equipped for anyone who is walking the West Highland Way with lots of little extras such as wi-fi; laundry service; hot tub and you can order a packed lunch for the next day. You don't have to be a walker, if you're looking for somewhere reasonably priced with good facilities - this ticks all the boxes. The bunkhouse is situated in an old church and upstairs in the bistro you can still see the stained glass windows and the old beams. The food was well presented and very tasty. I had the venison burger which came with chips and salad and there was plenty of it - no stingy portions here! There was also a good variety of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. The staff were very friendly and made sure that everyone was well looked after.

The accommodation is basic, but comfortable and my only gripe would be that the doors rattle when opened and this meant a broken night with campers coming in and out. The food is delicious and the staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming.

Stayed here for one night, our standard double room was a good size, with all the amenities you would expect. Nice room actually, with a lovely big bay window, very clean and tasteful decor. Breakfast has to be preordered the night before which really wasn’t an issue for us. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were roomy and spotless. Lovely big shower head in the bathroom which blasted off the cobwebs from a night of overdoing the whisky consumption! The breakfast was fantastic! In fact, my wife said it was the best she’d ever experienced in a hotel or b&b and that is saying something. Really well run hotel, highly recommended.

Kleine koffiezaak in het centrum van Stirling. Koffie is lekker en de eetmogelijkheden uitgebreid. Vriendelijke knusse zaak.
