Great taste coffee with nice sugar cubes ! friendly staff will be back to sample the food as there was some lovely options on the menu

I stopped here with a friend for lunch. We had the quiche with choice of two salads and coffee. The food was very tasty and the coffee was good. The staff are friendly. A busy, buzzy café opposite the was memorial. Recommended.

We had an absolutely super lunch here on Saturday 26 October. The food was delicious, the staff charming and the whole experience to be repeated many times !

Lovely restaurant my son enjoyed his pancakes with syrup bacon and Nutella he said they were the best pancakes he's had and there so fluffy inside will be back again

A lovely cafe came into view after a long walk. Lovely friendly waitress welcomed us in, made room for our puppy and looked after us wonderfully. Great sausage& chutney !

We absolutely loved this cafe. Beautiful food. Generous servings too. I was very taken with everything and the way it was served. I would certainly recommend this cafe for quality food. Prices good and service excellent. We shall go again. Thankyou to owner and staff.

A brand new cafe (only opened the previous month). My wife & I (along with our dog) found this absolute gem whilst on holiday in Brightlingsea. All freshly baked bread & cakes paired with well crafted teas & coffees made this an absolute delight. I can not praise the quality (& staff) enough. We visited 3 times out of our 6 day stay, I think that says it all!!!

The only only thing cold about this place are the things that are supposed to be cold. The welcome and the staff are warm and friendly. We can highly recommend the waffles and the ice cream as we indulge a little more frequently than necessary. A visit to The Ice House not only lifts our spirits but brings comfort to the soul.

I took my husband and 3 grandchildren here. Good waffle and ice cream selection. I ordered a cup of tea for myself and 4 waffles. The waffles all came out separately as there is only one waffle making machine!!! I find this quite odd as half the menu are waffles. Before all the waffles had come out I asked if I could change my mind and have a meal deal of sandwich, crisps and a cup of tea ( which I was drinking) but told no which yet again I thought a bit odd. The tables could have done with a good clean especially the legs and feet. Not the best of visits
