Staying locally for a special birthday with family including a baby and small dog. Stumbled across this pub online and after phoning to see if they could accommodate us all for carvery, I was impressed with their customer service and didn’t hesitate to make a booking. Carvery was absolutely amazing . Great value and delicious. All staff were so helpful and attentive. If we lived closer we would be back every week! Thank you all

Had a lovely stay at The Hunter Inn. Last minute find, whilst we were heading up north, so just a quick stop and stay for us. A lovely kept campsite,with everything you need, instructions are well explained too. Nice little pub, reasonavly priced, with lovely food, staff couldn't be more helpful. All in all a lovely place to stay. Definately stay here again and would recommend to anyone. 😊

We booked their campsite, for a night and had a family dinner here, on 8th September. Our two dogs were also allowed in. The food was amazing and all cooked to perfection, with a great combination of flavours. The dishes were a good size and presented beautifully. The staff were all very friendly, polite and efficient. We would definitely be returning, when back in the area.

We had a lovely meal served by an attentive young man. An older member of staff was perhaps not a people person! We will definitely go again.....

This was a Sunday Lunch carvery, my first visit, recommended by a friend. I really enjoyed my food, the choice of meats was good and the choices of potato’s cooked different ways and the variety of vegetables was amazing. Whilst I did not have room for dessert they were homemade and I will certainly remember to leave room for one next time I visit. Carvery was well organised and the staff were very friendly and courteous.

Great pub outside Tewkesbury. Friendly staff ... Good quality well cooked food. Prices correct ( not cheap but definitely not dear) We would definitely recommend my wife had fish pie and I had fish and chips both good sized and perfectly cooked. Looking around everyone was served perfectly and enjoying the friendly atmosphere.....Enjoy

Called in here as it was close to our accommodation and it was an excellent find. We had a Fillet and a Sirloin steak both excellent followed by the best Apple pie and ice cream we've had in ages. Service was good and friendly. We were so impressed we booked for the Sunday Carvery and once again it was excellent a good choice of meat and great selection of veg. would heartily recommend.

Rang for a last minute booking and we were made so welcome! We ordered our drinks, and pondered the menu. A few items were unavailable but we were still able to make some great choices. We ordered 1 of the breaded mushrooms and 3 of the baked Bries. All incredible! Mains we had 2 gammon, belly pork and the lasagna. Portions were huge and was all incredibly tasty. Wish we had room for pudding but we didn’t unfortunately. We can’t wait to return!

Highly recommend this place. We travelled from Newcastle got stuck in 2 very long traffic jams and didn’t arrive till 8.15 pm, we rang ahead of arrival and the staff went above and beyond our expectations by making sure that food was available as the kitchen was about to close and the food was excellent.

Was left a little disappointed here. Service was lovely, choice and cooking was great but I think there’s a problem with the sourcing or possibly storage. Both the fish and the steak were lacking in flavour and we struggled to finish them. The cooking seems fantastic - steak and fish were cooked very well so I can only assume it’s the raw ingredients that were at fault. Good choice of wines by the glass and a good ale too. Something needs finessing.

Following a reccomendation from our Air B&B host we popped in for a bite to eat before heading to a wedding at Birtsmorton Court. Delicious soup & crispy thick chips went down a treat! Unfortunately for us taxis were proving very hard to come by & as the panic started to set in the staff at the Hunters Inn were there to help. Kate, the landlady went above & beyond stepping in to help us reach our destination & it truly felt like it was her pleasure to lend a hand. Only wish we had time to try the carvery before travelling home the next day. Something we'll be certain to add to our plans next time we're in the area.

Went here with friends for lunch. Really lovely food carefully cooked and beautifully presented. Really tasty menu, good choice of all home,cooked food. Such a change from the usual pub fare. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They have a good range of beers and ciders and all at fair prices. We shall certainly be going again, there were so many things on the menu we would like to try. Especially well done to the chef for the sweets selection all home made and a good,choice. So often it’s a range of predictable Brakes puds.

Stayed on the caravan site with friends for two weeks, great to have a restaurant adjoining, we all ate there several times and were never disappointed. Food was excellent especially the Sunday carvery. Music nights on Friday nights were great fun too with talented artists, everyone joining in it was great fun

We had a night here as it looked a lovely setting and campsite. It is, if you don't mind sewage bubbling up in the car park and campsite! Food in the pub was fine, usual country pud standard, nothing beyond that, and very tasty. The bar staff were nice and attentive, and very friendly. However, the landlady was something to be seen. Over ruling her staff when they were doing a great job, being rude to staff and customers alike, and generally coming across as inhospitable and unwelcoming. I really don't understand why she would choose this industry when she clearly has a problem with most people. Oh well, needless to say we won't be back. Oh, and definitely don't take small children. There was a family next to us perfectly well behaved and they came in for a lot of 'advice' on how they should be controlling their perfectly behaved children.

The owners and staff are very friendly always helpful and you can expect a warm welcome. Food is of better than average and always excellent. With enormous open log fires for winter and a great garden we have enjoyed them all. Hard to beat.

Visited the Hunters with friends on a Wednesday evening. A good crowd in for midweek. The husband and wife team were very friendly and warm in their greeting. Good menu with daily specials complimenting the varied choice. I chose Bellypork which was served with potatoes, brocolli, carrots and a delicious cabbage/onion and cream type of rosti. All perfectly cooked and nicely presented. The pork was very good. The other meals looked very good and we all had coffee afterwards.Good choice of beers and wines and a very pleasant atmosphere in the bar.Thoroughly recommend for a good night out with friends or loved ones. Prices are reasonable too with some main courses under £10.Well done The Hunters.

Good quality food on a Sunday Lunchtime we took the Carvery and the beef was outstanding with a good selection of well cooked vegetables. Very popular and I would recommend you book in advance

We had a fantastic evening meal here, could not fault the food at all. However the female member of staff/possibly owner was rude and unwelcoming showing her annoyance at two toddlers being there, speaking to a 2 year old as if they were an unruly teenager for walking towards the closed restaurant section and then purposefully bumping into Mum of another young child who was walking around as if they were in the way. Extremely rude and unnecessary. We’ve never experienced this anywhere we’ve been before and made us feel very unwelcome, I would not recommend anyone with young children go here to have the same experience. Our children I would add are very normal toddlers who are learning/exploring their environment and will never go to a restaurant and just sit in a high chair quietly for the duration of the visit; something I’ve yet to experience any young child do! Such a shame this impacted an otherwise lovely pub restaurant.

A group of anything up to 15 if us meet here from time to time and are never disappointed. The beer and baguettes are brilliant and incredible value. They come with the best chips in the world and an excellent salad. About once a year we have an evening meal and are always looked after brilliantly. The staff are very friendly and attentive and always try to make sure you're getting the best attention in every sense.

Camped around the back of the pub for one night with our children, i wasnt expecting it to be anywhere near as nice as it was! It was so cheap and last minute and i didnt really read reviews before booking, something that i ALWAYS do, what can i say, we had a lovely time! Huge trampoline and slides for kids. Loads of space for them to play! Toilets available with door code for when the pub is closed. Really calm and pleasant. Pub staff very helpful and friendly, electric is available and water taps around the fields. Blonde lady , i think she is the manager was very nice and polite. Only thing is theres no showers available , we would of asked to stay an extra night but as the kids had played outside all day they really needed a bath, thats the only reason why we didnt ask to stay another night. The smell of food from the pub all day was just amazing, thats what made us go in for a carvery on the sunday afternoon, so glad we did, it was the best one we have ever had, so much choice , all fresh and clean. Would defo recommend if your up that way! Cant wait to book camping again just to have a carvery haha.
