The Hot Wok in Swansea

Sadly, although the food is lovely, you’ll be waiting 2 hours minimum for delivery even though they say 30 minutes. Then when it arrives 9 times out of 10 the order will be incorrect and you’ll be waiting another hour for them to correct it. Useless service. If you try to complain the answer is “nothing we can do”. Unprofessional. Doesn’t surprise me after they got investigated and charged for illegal workers.

Ordered via their website. Easy pick up. Food very tasty, would recommend.

Haven't tried this place for a while as I wasn't impressed last time -- wasn't pleased this time either -couldn't finish the food very dry and not a lot of taste. Will be going further afield as I have been having classy Chinese food else where. Sorry but try and put more than just soya sauce in your dishes!!!

First time to use The Hot Wok and what a lovely surprise. Staff were very pleasant at the counter and the food was piping hot on collection. The food was lovely. All the meats were tender and cooked perfectly. We both enjoyed our meals which was chicken in a black bean sauce and special curry. The prawn crackers were very tasty and beautifully crisp!! A brilliant take away and one not to miss!!

Lovely food. The best Chinese takeaway in the area. Service was very efficient and friendly team. We would definitely recommend Hot wok to anyone who truly like to taste Chinese and Cantonese food.

Got our order wrong waited for over an hour wen they said they be 30mims. We rang them to correct and they said we didn't order the item but wen they read the order bk wen placing it'd on there? We spend alot of money ere but wil never order ere again definitely

Lovely place to have a take away. Food is made fresh and taste very authentic. Highly recommend. The staff at front desk and very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be ordering again.

We really love the food here and recommended this take away. Food is consistently delicious, high quality throughout the year and great portions. Tonight, for New Year's eve, we had quarter crispy duck - delicious, also Peking Spare ribs - so tender they melted in the mouth and best ribs I've had in a long time. Sweet and sour chicken mains also delicious and good size portion.

Lovely welcome, lovely food, reasonable prices and they offer delivery too! What more can you ask of your local?!

Had food from there was violently ill after the horrendous food and my neighbor has been ill after she had food from there basicly had same food on different days i would say the chicken is rotten

Outstanding. We regularly order from The Hot Wok and are never disappointed. At busier times you may have to wait for your order to be delivered but it's well worth the wait. Very, very tasty and generous portions. I cannot fault them, enjoy 😋

Expected them to be busy on new year's eve but 3 hours wait was insane and its not worth a 3 hour wait especially when the driver told me he had been sat outside the shop for 2 hours doing nothing. Would eat from here again though for sure as the food is decent but I'll be picking up in future as apparently no matter when you phone if you're not within 1 mile they'll deal with customers picking up first, on the other hand lovely customer service

Helpful staff, quick delivery and excellent food at good prices. I had to remove one star because the food I order often needs 30 seconds in the microwave by the time it gets delivered. So I would say that their transport containers need upgrading. However, I won't order from anywhere else! Love it.

A fantastic place that we have used for years. Had to comment as I have just seen the most hideous review on here. This is ridiculous. The staff here are fantastic, the food always well cooked and such a great selection. Excellent value also. Keep up the good work.

Went in to The Hot Wok, 1st January 2021 during these times, we expect catering establishments to be extra vigilant with reference to the wearing of face masks. Last night this was not the case we saw delivery drivers coming in not wearing masks, bringing in what Could only be described as filthy food storage boxes. They were behind the counter chatting to the lady no masks on in very close proximity. We asked at the counter why these delivery drivers, weren't wearing face masks which you have to wear by law. We were told by the lady behind the counter, that due to the ill health of the driver he's except from wearing a mask. She became rather defensive on being asked about the lack masks. She called a manager but due to his lack of English it was difficult to explain his responsibilities to the general public. I informed the lady behind the counter that we had taken photos of what we had seen plus the registrations numbers of the vehicles used by the delivery drivers. We have a responsibility to make sure this doesn't continue. I have passed the photos onto the department of work & pensions plus a full statement of fact & I have emailed the local council environmental team. This is why the infection rate is climbing up because of the arrogance & stupidity individuals also the place is cash only why not take a card is much more hygienic, and the lady behind the counter didn't sanitise her hands once, nor did the delivery drivers.

Best food for miles, 10 out of 10

3 of us had lovely food from here a few days ago. Arrived piping hot, generous portions and very tasty. We had the Chinese style pork, beef curry and beef in black bean sauce. We will definitely go back.

Lovely meal. We have eaten at this takeaway a few times and tried many different dishes . I have to say all delicious . The staff at front of house are polite, friendly and chatty, hes a nice bloke. Angela

Great food and always consistent. The waiting area could do with an uplift and a bit of heating in the colder months. The staff are freezing in the front of shop. The chap serving is first class.
