The Hot Plate in Darlington

Ordered of just eat, apparently driver couldn’t find my house. Had no phone calls, rang them up and was asked for my name and number to be called back ASAP however received no phone call back about my order instead they just cancelled it so I’m out of pocket. I would avoid this place at all costs, I won’t be coming here ever again!

We’ve ordered a garlic bread with chicken and mushroom but got bbq based pizza and when phoned to complain they put the phone down on our face and told us F.off Do not even think of getting any food from this place

This food place is my fav and the best when u want somthing quick

AVOID! Wish I had read the reviews before buying 😭. Ordered food for delivery and items were missing. Tried to call them to explain but no one answered and the voicemail box was full (probably of other angry customers that also had issues).

Tasted like frozen food from the sainsbury's round the corner not even fully cooked and the place looks dirty

Ordered "Offer 5" and had it delivered. Donna meat, pitta bread and garlic dip missing. I rang them up and explained the situation and also mentioned that the chicken parmo wasn't a large. It was the size of a burger and a half. He was very rude and hung up on me. AVOID

Couldn't order from here as the people seemed untrustworthy.

Great good best pizza place on Darlington I get food from there all the time

Hot plate special kebab is enough for two. Next time I wanna try the Parmo burger.

Well even after a few drinks in town abd not eating all day I couldn’t eat this garage! Drier than a nuns vaggy! Utterly disgusting! Only place open.. so blame myself! Never again!

Got alot more then most other takeaways box was full brim of chips and kabab very good I thought

2 hrs late, food was mushed up in the boxes as if it had been thrown about. Food missing from order, food also cold and burnt ? Staff rude. Just don't bother I wouldn't have even given it the 1 if I could have put 0 😱 😱 😱

This is the worst restaurant in town! Ordered food through Darlo eats and was told 8.45 delivery ! No sign of food at 9.15. Rang hotplate and the Lass on the phone said waiting for a driver no help no advice no nothing ! Then 9.30 rang the place again and the Lass said still waiting for a driver ! So at this point I’d had enough ! Basically she was about much help as a carton of chilli sauce with a hole in it!No help no customer service nothing ! Then here’s the next thing they cancelled the order, then they tell Darlo Ears that it’s been delivered how ???? They had no drivers ! Guys please avoid like the plague ! Horrible place!!!

Food is good but overall service poor. Placed a delivery order and advised would be 45-60 minutes. Called twice eventually arrived two hours after the order. To make it worse the pitta bread and chilli sauce was missing. Offered to deliver them but told them not to bother (as didn't want them for breakfast). Not the first time we have had these problems, so time to find a new reliable pizza shop.

I found out the meat is human (children)

Ordered the hot plate mixed kebab special and a garlic bread, turned up half an hour late delivered by an arrogant delivery guy with no apology for being late and then no shish kebab in my order just donner & chicken. Overall poor

The pizza had very little to no tomato base, I was sent Pepsi instead of Fanta and either I have big hands and make the 'large' garlic sauce look small or they sent me a child's portion.

Twice we received out food not very warm, we thought we would give them another chance so ordered out food via just eat at 18:30, requesting a 20:30 delivery, thinking this would allow plenty of time if they were busy, and we added a note politely informing them our food wasn't warm the last 2 occasions. our average order is £23. The food arrived at 19:25 and was once again not warm, with boxes wet from condensation and chips stone cold. Driver pretty much threw the food at my pregnant partner with a forced enjoy your food comment before speeding off. Would not recommend at all. Terrible customer service and cold food.

Never had food take so long get delivered in my entire life, could have walked to Turkey and got a kebab quicker.

I’ve had better pizzas in my time that’s for sure

This was not the Hot Plate I required, although one of the local boys stood outside of Sainsbury's sorted me out with the one I required.

Absolutely fantastic, no grease whatsoever on the pizza. Spicy pizza had loads of flavour, I would reccomend this pizza shop...coming from a fussy person 👍

We've had parmos, kebabs and pizza from here and they've always been brilliant. We use this takeaway every couple of weeks. We usually collect, but even when it's been delivered it's always been hot and fresh.

I've worked all around the country,and currently its Darlington, I'm from Cardiff which has hundreds of pizza/ kebab shops, this is my favourite!!! Never had a parmesan before but it was delicious! Not my favourite thing about this place tho ask the guy to make you a garlic bread with cheese and it is ten times better than domino's for like 4 quid. Kebab is also above average.

I’m not posh so I don’t need to leave just one star. Not only the guys have BBQ bases for several pizzas which I absolutely love, tonight I got myself a portion of donner meat with garlic sauce where both of them are generous and tasty and even the girl serving me was smiling and nice and as a person also dealing with customers I know it’s not an easy thing on busy Fridays. So far no reason to complain - thankfully!

Rotten waited 1and half hour for delivery kebab looked like it was a week old and I got delivered a box of meat no salad or nowt cant even eat it its manky that's me finished with this place and they charge a fortune 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I ordered for take away. I got something wrong. They told me to return it! I aint driving back and food gets cold. Asked them to send it they said no...

Average pizza, but drinks in fridge from multipacks and over a year out of date! Place looks like it could do with a good scrub too

Ordered to night and we were really disappointed and disgusted with our food, chips undercooked, kebab meat the same, pizza dough was part cooked and I ordered a tandoori one which consisted of tomato purée and a bit of chicken no taste at all it was rank and the burger in a bun was swimming in grease so will never be ordering from here again

Food was cold ordered a xl large donor wrap and received a small i then rung them and spoke to the manger and got a mouthful off him saying i was drunk and never had a drink all night and i would never recommend them to anyone

Always ordered from here never went anywhere else but has went down hill recently. Food has either been luke warm or stone cold never hot, chips arent the best and neither is the pizza

ORDERED ON LINE FOR 7pm 0N 2-3-2018.DID NOT TURN UP BY 8pm.RANG TO SEE WHAT TIME IT WAS COMING,THEY WERE WAITING FOR A DRIVER.. STILL HAD NOT ARRIVED BY 9.20pm so cancelled.i expected it to be late because of the snow,but not that late.reviews are not very good when i checked later.

Meh. Used to be a favourite for years but recently dropped right off in the food.

Absolutely shocking tonight, rang up to order some food for the family. Large donner Kebab chips & salad, kids chipolar pizza, chicken wrap - plain no sauce just grilled chicken kebab as I am allergic to food colouring and can’t have certain marinade on meat. Was told 45 min for delivery. Rang after 1 hour 15 min to ask where delivery was supprisingly just left the shop.. when delivery arrived opened food to it all being cold, the chicken wrap soaked in orange sauce that much was coming through the wrap, I phoned the shop up asking to speak to the person who had cooked the meal and said ‘ I distinctly asked for plain chicken breast no sauce’ the man who was very very rude said it’s food colouring numerous times and if I have a problem to bring it to the shop, then slammed the phone down on me. my dad rang them back up explaining he didn’t appreciate him speaking to me the way he did, he rambled on putting the phone down again. So as he said we took the food back to the shop asking for a refund seen as they weren’t prepared to make a new one. He hung over the counter getting in my face, accusing me of swearing at him on the phone. I explained the reason like I said before that I wanted plain chicken was because of my intolerance to colourings, another worker then waved his hands in my face demanding me to tell him where will I would find a pizza shop in Darlington that would cook me plain chicken breast. I replied a number of pizza shops as they take care of my intolerances comapred to your shop. Been coming here for over 10 years and worst meal to date will deffo not be returning!! Could of killed someone.

No bbq sauce in bbq chicken pizza, salad tastes out of date, chips weren't even cooked properly and food was cold disgraceful!
