This place is a gem, fabulous food and great service.

Great South American & Spanish themed menu. Excellent Argentinian rib eye steak, interesting fish dishes and pizzas the kids love. Classical Spanish guitarist provides unobtrusive background music at times. Recommended for a celebration or memorable meal with friends.

Excellent, what a gem. We were staying in Greenwhich and found this by chance really....I would love a local restaurant this good. Super food and wonderful service, really can't recommend enough. And a superb guitarist as well.....

Brought my girlfriend and parents here tonight for wine & tapas. Brilliant authentic spot with great food and attentive service. Totally worth it!

I was really surprised by all the reviews for this place. The food was horrible, most of it felt like it had been microwaved and the food that tasted good came in really small portions. We got one small empanada for about 8 pounds, and the paella was a decent size but did not taste fresh, it had a glaze on top like it had just been microwaved. The staff were lovely and the building was really nicely decorated but for such an expensive meal the food was not worth it. I would definitely never go back and would not recommend it.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing staff ❤️

The food is delicious, I come here because it is fresh and very seasoned but the restaurant manager seems very rude to the rest of the waitresses working and that does not help with the atmosphere of the place.

Amazing staff, amazing energy, atmosphere and, of course, the food! Elizabeth and her colleagues made our night exceptionally special, especially considering the size of our group! Will be coming back as soon as we can!

The paella rice was a little hard

This is very much our local and we love going there the staff are extremely friendly the food is excellent and it is all very well priced. Would highly recommend anybody looking for a restaurant in Greenwich who does not want to go into a chain or one of those restaurants in and around the Cutty Sark

Everything was delicious. Very tasty and freshly made food. The only thing I can complain about, are the portions on some plates. The price was very high for the portion received. Especially in ceviche, I expected more fish on my plate. I definitely recommend the place but just a suggestion for the owner about it.

We walked past this place so many times, then finally went in a few weeks ago and again yesterday. Sat in the secluded beautiful garden both times. what a treat. The food is fantastic, everything is fresh and flavourful. The atmosphere inside sounds fun and looks cozy, looking forward to trying it in winter.

This restaurant does a rather impressive job of catering for everyone with food ranging from pizza to paella, tapas and some Ecuadorian specials too, all well presented, tasty and served piping hot. It has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere but can get quite noisy. The staff are efficient and pleasant making it a change not to have to be chasing down service. Is it good? Well I'll definitely be going again.

Lovely tasty food. Dog friendly (we had two dogs with us). We were in the pleasant garden on a hot sunny day and didn't mind that the service was a little slow, probably in part due to the fact they were very busy. We all had tapas starters, mains and dessert. The chocolate orange cake was divine.

Update: 2nd visit and can now recommend the basque cheesecake too 🍰 This really is a hidden gem. Tapas selection is fabulous and the orange cake is one of the best I've tasted. Support this independent family run business. You won't be disappointed.

A wonderful spread of tapas beautiful ceviche

First time here and what a lovely restaurant. Food was fresh and delicious and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Definitely be coming back. Highly recommended

We had a late lunch at The Hill before a show at the O2. It’s a lovely neighbourhood restaurant away from Greenwich town centre. Service was a little slow considering how quiet the restaurant was, but the food was lovely. We shared a couple of tapas dishes to start and both had the Ecuadorean lamb stew for main, which was delicious. The tres leches (three milks) cake dessert was the highlight, however. I’d order it every time if I visited regularly, which I probably would if I was a local.

Situated just up from a lovely little street in Greenwich this place is incredible! They had a live acoustic guitarist paying when we visited and the food was super good. The best thing about our night was the atmosphere, we sat in the garden out back which was amazing. The service was exceptional! Everything came to us in great time, the wine, food, cutlery and table water. Will definitely go back again!

Unfortunately it was well below our expectations given the reviews. The service and atmosphere were fine but the food was mediocre at best. The portions were also small. We will not be returning.

Underwhelming. Despite very high hopes and expectations, the place did not live up to the 4.5 stars it currently has. The food was boring and tasted pre-packaged. The ceviche was ok but the fish did not taste very fresh. Service was good overall.

Today, we decided to go to eat at this Spanish restaurant; when we arrived at the restaurant, the bartender advised us that the food would take a long time... and was fine... But after waiting for 45 minutes and saw two tables going because the waiting time was not fine anymore... the only good thing there was the smile of the bartenders, specially someone call Maria, she trietried make us wait and she almost convinced us to wait. After the long waiting, we then realised that the couple in front of us that came 25 minutes after did got the food before us and it was the same food that we had ordered... this is not only about slow service is also about accuracy. This made us feel terrible that much that we just stand up and left this place to never come back...

What a wonderful find! Such a pretty place and the food was amazing. We had the sea bass and the Grandma Gladys’ lamb stew. The sea bass was the best I’ve ever tasted, highly recommended. Excellent service 😊

A must visit if you’re in Greenwich! Everything we ordered was delicious and served as it was ready from the kitchen. Each dish was fresh and flavorful, highly recommend!

Everything was great but it would be nice to get some sauces as well with some of the foods.

I had the pleasure of having dinner at this restaurant for this first time the weekend. It’s a hidden gem, the atmosphere was amazing, great music and ambience. The waiter was so lovely, the food was amazing! I enjoyed everything, they have an amazing selection of foods that meet most dietary requirements. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again.

Super mooi en gezellige terras achteraan. Vol met prachtige bloemen& planten, echt een klein bloemenparadijsje. Zeker een aanrader bij goed weer! Wij hadden ook specifiek om een plaatsje buiten gevraagd bij onze reservatie (beperkte tafels). Binnen zag het er ook gezellig uit, airco aanwezig. Ruime keuze, veel lekkere tapas, pizza’s, hoofdgerechten (ook vegetarisch)… Toffe& vlotte bediening. Op zaterdagavond is er zelfs livemuziek.

Super nice and cozy terrace at the back. Full of beautiful flowers & plants, truly a small flower paradise. Definitely recommended in good weather! We had also specifically requested a seat outside when making our reservation (limited tables). It also looked cozy inside, with air conditioning. Wide choice, lots of tasty tapas, pizzas, main courses (also vegetarian)… Nice & smooth service. There is even live music on Saturday evenings.

Lovely family meal - excellent tapas and cocktails.

Enjoyed a family meal here for the third time in several years, and came away wondering why I don’t eat here more often. It’s a great restaurant, with quality food and a nice variety of dishes. It also has a garden which is very well laid out. Well run and accommodating staff.

Such a great find! We were staying in the area for the weekend and this restaurant was the food highlight out of the 2 days. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere was lovely, the seating area outside was such a nice place to sit and eat, and the food really hit the spot. The gambas was our favourite dish from the varied tapas menu, but I’d say you’ll be spoiled for choice by the whole menu. The ambience was a little like being on holiday with the beautiful courtyard resplendent with gorgeous plants and mural.

Went on Sunday afternoon with our dog. 16.30 in the garden area, the two young lady staff could not be more helpful to my wife and I. The manager was attentive and courteous. Offered a water bowl for our dog. Food superb. We had, amongst other sides, the spaghetti with prawns. Go for it, tasty and loads of prawns. The garden is beautiful, somebody knows how to look after plants. Go back again, absolutely.

Had some delicious Tapas and Pizzas. The Cevice was extremely good.

This was a real find! Lovely atmosphere inside, everything is nicely decorated in an Ecuadorian way, but we decided to sit outside in the equally lovely garden, which contains a beautiful mural. We had to wait for one person to join us for a considerable time and the owner looked after us in a very friendly manner during that time. The food was wonderful, we shared Patatas Bravas, Champions al Ajillo, and Camarones Apanados, the latter being my absolute favourite. They were a recommendation by the owner, as was my main course, the Pincho de Pollo, which was exquisite. The restaurant closes at 2:30 for the afternoon, but we had such a good time, we lost track of time and we weren’t asked to leave, very nicely, until half an hour later. Sorry about that, thanks for making us feel so welcome throughout our stay! We will come again if we’re in the area!

I wanted to like the place, nice atmosphere and service was fine, but food was really not good at all.

Food is mediocre and any attempts at creativity are executed poorly. It is basically mediocre latin american place with high prices. Service was with a smile and back yard is decent. Definitely not worth the rice or walk to this area.

Greeted with a lovely warm welcome and then served delicious food in an authentic setting. The garden at the rear is delightful and would be the place to be on a warm sunny day.

Chose this place at random as it was close enough to Greenwich Theatre and we were not disappointed. We had about 7-8 tapas dishes to share and a couple of drinks which came to around £65. The food was lovely and the staff were friendly. If I'm ever in this neck of the woods again, I will definitely go back.

Excellent food, live entertainment

By far the best Latin American restaurant I’ve been to in London (and I’ve been to a few.). The food is superb, the quality of the ingredients second to none and the ambience is delightful (so is service.). Worth paying a visit if you want to try true Latin American flavors and feel homesick!!

Had an absolutely fantastic meal here last night. We ordered practically the whole tapas menu and got dessert, which between 2 people went to 70 pounds, which was fantastic value for the quality of food and service we received. Some highlights include the octopus, gambas al ajillo and chorizo. The restaurants location is also impressive considering it's just 10 minutes away from the more touristy hotspots of Greenwich, but it presents such a cosy, homely local atmosphere. A real hidden gem!

Amazing restaurant. The food is great with a really great variety of food. In particular, I would recommend the seco de chivo or one of their pizzas. Service is very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

My sister and i ate here on Saturday lunch and it was incredible. The food quality was awesome and the staff honestly couldn't do enough to help us. Such lovely people- we'll definitely be back. Thank you!

The minute we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and attended to. We ordered tapas and starters, a large portion of which were vegetarian and vegan. The plantains, empanadas and tamal were stand outs. So good we needed to order a second round, we had the potato omelette and the ceviche which were both phenomenal. The hosts cleared our plates diligently and brought us a dessert menu. We had the classic chocolate cake and the gluten free lava cake. The perfect way to finish our meal. Thank you for having us!

Not in the centre of Greenwich but definitely worth seeking out. Very varied menu with some nice South American specials. I’d recommend the chicken and chorizo skewers - the meat was so tender. Prices very reasonable for London

Such a wonderful restaurant, the staff are all very lovely, welcoming and prompt, I love that the tables aren’t tiny and cramped. Adore the decor and music and most importantly the food is to die for. Best steak and chimichurri sauce ever! Cannot recommend this place enough, what a gem!

Really lovely evening at the Hill overall. Great food and very friendly service. One thing I can’t understand though is the lighting- it’s far too bright. Just buy some dimmer light bulbs and put some candles on the table, it would make all the difference! However we will be back nonetheless.

Asked for a quiet corner table and got a nice spot. Service was friendly and efficient. Shared a whitebait starter which was a little on the small side. I had Pork knuckle which was very good, my partner had Prawn linguine which we both thought was over salty. Didn't have desserts, so can't comment on that.

Delightful neighbourhood restaurant. Bright colourful decor (South American textiles, paintings), mix of couples and families, friendly, efficient service, menu offers good and varied choices for both food and wine. It doesn't disappoint.

Went on Valentines Day so was quite busy. Still the service was very good and food arrived quickly. Food was delicious, I had a mix of seafood. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

The best restaurant in South East London by far, great decor, tables with plenty space (don’t you hate it when you have nowhere to put your arms because they prefer to put lots of tiny tables rather than fewer larger ones? Not the case here!) all staff are really lovely and prompt with bringing the orders and most importantly, the food is absolutely fabulous. Fresh ingredients, authentic and full flavour. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you love a good dining experience, you love The Hill!
