The Highfield in East Riding of Yorkshire

Pleasurable meal. 2 for 1 burgers on a Monday. Not a bad place for a couple of drinks. Also dog friendly. Big bonus. Landlord now moving on to pastures new and has a "couldn't care less" attitude. Therefore I "don't care" to part with my money in there any more.

Good pub for darts,pool and sports on tv, good choice of beers and do entertainment

Going again tomorrow to have a meal

The highfield is a modern pub. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a good range of beers, lagers, and cider available, including two cask conditioned hand pulled real ales on when I visited, which were in excellent condition. It's a nice comfortable pub. The L shaped room has a pool table in the bar area. There are a lot of events going on here during the week, including live music at the weekend. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. If the pub is nicely decorated and comfortable, there is a large free car park. It's a really nice pub.

Food was decent,but service was poor and had untrained staff at the bar. Yes they was very apologetic, but our friends food arrived our food was nowhere insight. We had to wait a whole half an hour before our food but inbetween our food coming out and another table there was a table of 4 who ordered food after us and the other table. Got food first before us which in my eyes makes no sense.

Honestly mine and my family’s experience was great. The food was unbelievably amazing, everything homemade and delicious. The feel of the pub was cleanly and friendly where we were made to feel welcome the whole time. We will most definitely be returning! Thanks :)

A good place for a decent paint and a game of pool recommend you go there not far from center of Beverley either not tried the food here yet

Feel happy in highfield and staff are friendly

Having been recommended the pub for dinner for five adults, this was let down. The first red flag was no one was eating (we should have left then). Ordering was simple and quick then delivery took over an hour. The Fish and Chips (this is pub food) had been vaporized, I didn’t find any fish (broke off a few pieces and used the tartare sauce for moisture), the peas must have been from last century. Gammon and Chips, was more like bacon and chips, well over cooked and crispy. The Steak wasn’t bad, I assume they had 2 portions of chips left for 4 portions hence the rationing. Overall the food was complete let down. I wish now I’d taken pictures.

A colleague and I set up our laptops in one corner of the pub and worked for 4 hours fuelled by tea and coffee. Food was not being served on the day we visited but the menu looked great! Good parking area and a great location when you need an alternative to working from home. Will visit again.

This place was dead. No atmosphere. Hardly anyone in the pub apart from a ladies darts team. Stayed for one drink then left. Bar staff are friendly and happy.

Went for a friend's birthday gathering so can't rate the food as we only popped in for a short time. Guinness on draft was lovely,my fiancé had pots of tea . Great service and staff , also reasonably priced

what an absolutely dreadful experience order food for 7 people then a horrendous band started their warm up terrified the dog the kiddies cried far too loud for a small. pub we will not be going back.

Went for food 18th October 2022 with my son. We had the signature desperados nacho burger and the 8oz rump steak. Food was amazing. Steak cooked to perfection. The burger was also really good. Excellent value for money. Lovely atmosphere. Bar staff member really friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to everyone. A**** 👍😁

As a part of an adults group for people with Tourette’s, we tried to book space for a social event at the pub quiz. However, we were told “We won’t have people like that in our pub”. They told us we weren’t allowed in because of disability status. Disgusted doesn’t cover it. I’d urge anyone to not go here, particularly any disabled folk as the discrimination we’ve experienced is horrendous. I’m really sad to write this, but feel I need to warn people that it’s not safe for disabled people.

I’m an adult with Tourette’s syndrome and FND, I’m in a wheelchair and supported by an amazing charity that puts on adult groups accessing things we would normally have barriers with… things like bingo, the cinema, and pub quiz nights. By doing these trips we have freedom we wouldn’t normally have that other people wouldn’t think twice about. So many businesses have been amazing with us, when we have had these evenings out they have helped us so much and we have made a huge deal thanking the venues and making those thanks public showing their amazing inclusion. Also by us having our social nights it creates awareness for the public around us to understand Tourette’s and the barriers we face. Unfortunately the high field refused our group to come on quiz night. Tourette’s is a registered disability…. This pub denied a group of neurodiverse disabled people to book in for quiz night… their website says they are dog friendly… but they are not human friendly when it comes to diverse people!!!! Our community is so upset and frankly disgusted. Shame on you!!!!

What a fantastic place lovely welcome very friendly staff the food was some of the best pub food I have ever had definitely recommend the steak and ale pie although I didn't finish it it was fabulous lovely space outside to sit in the sun definitely going to visit again now our favourite place to eat in beverley.

We went out for a family lunch yesterday, the service, atmosphere and food were exceptional, the staff had all the time in the world for us. We will definitely be going back. I would recommend to anyone.

Great little local, fill of character. Been in here previously and wasn't impressed with the cask, however I've had two other casks since and they've been spot on, so can only assume the first Cask was oxygenated from the supplier. Good food, plenty of draft options.

Lovely food had the Sunday roast was absolutely amazing, great choice of vegetables and meat all home made. Well worth the money would definitely recommend lovely hosts too.

Popped in yesterday for food on time but requested no peas but got them and the mixed grill was not worth it, for the price could have gone to Chamas in Wednesday Market for as much as you can eat.my steak medium was rare didn't eat, unfortunately won't be back..sorry

5 of us walked In at 6pm, put our order in for food at 6.20 and was still waiting on our food at 7.30, four meals come out and we had to ask about the 5th meal after a further 10mins, we ordered a few sides that never came even after asking about these as well, we ordered a couple of sharing platters for 2 which was very small and not worth the £11 each at all, the food was mediocre at best, we also heard a few others complaining and getting refunds, we never complained because we’re not the type but we was disappointed and unfortunately we won’t be returning for food which is a shame because it’s a lovely local pub.

The new landlord has got the place going again and it looks great inside, the food menu's are good and the ale is in good condition. They're tryna be a bit of a social hub again which is nice and they even have a dart team playing out of there on a Monday so every second week there's a good craic in there (plus the chance of a cheeky little supper...). All good

A nice pub set in a residential area, the Timothy Taylors Landord was spot on. We stayed for Sunday lunch and the portions were a good size and very nice.

There are reviews on Trip Advisor that relate to previous licensees. The new team have been in situ since 2018. I am not the type to jump on the internet for the sake of it. But credit where its due, I have just had best pub food I'd ever had. The Timothy Taylor's beer is brilliant too. Get yourself in there and make sure this pub stays successful and open. If you don't use it, you'll lose it: if it does not stay open (and I hope and sincerely believe it will), and you haven't been in and then say 'I wish it was open' then you were part of the problem when you could have been the solution!!
