Food in here is always amazing and served fresh. The staff are friendly and provide service with a smile. Cocktail specials available, making it the perfect place for food before a night out. I have been here for lunch, casual drinks, tea & a birthday party! Easily one of the best places in Whitehaven! Thank you x

We booked The Grapes for our daughter's 21st birthday party. We have been several times between making the booking and the big day. Every visit has been absolutely amazing. The pizzas are delicious, with an excellent variety to choose from. They can be accompanied with some amazing cocktails. The hospitality is second to none, and we always struggle to leave before closing, it is that nice a place to be. So, the main event. There were 42 of us and we had drinks on arrival, antipasti platters and then the delicious pizzas were brought out fresh and hot throughout the night. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. All dietary requests were catered for. They made sure they had the ingredients to make the birthday girl's favourite cocktail, pina colada. Every single guest commented on how tasty the food was, how good the cocktails were (No cheap substitutes here, proper measures) but most importantly, just how amazing the hospitality is. Graham, Bex and Angel could not have done more to make the night special and one to remember. It was all the small touches that made it feel personal and special. Whether you want somewhere to go for a drink, food and drink or a full party, The Grapes is the place to go. You will not be disappointed.

We visited grapes for Valentine’s Day, the food was lovely, good selection of pizza and nice vegetarian options as well. Very. Ice Cocktails and a nice variety of drinks to select from. The pizzas are very big and filling but would of been nice to have a few side options as well. Service was very good and very helpful with dietary requirements. Looking forward to going back!

My partner and I gave The Grapes a try this week, we enjoyed the whole experience. We were greeted by a lovely waitress, she was amazing, really lovely and attentive. There was a huge selection of pizzas on the menu, which was great to see. There were many options as well such a vegan and gluten free. I went for the jalfrezi paneer pizza and my partner got the roquito pepper, both came out hot and tasty! We were also offered garlic mayo and chipotle sauce with our pizzas (both were very tasty). We decided to try their desserts (all of which are pancakes), mine being an apple, cinnamon and custard one and my partner had lemon curd and raspberries! If I had to give a comment for improvement, it would be lovely to see a wider dessert selection, and maybe some side dishes to compliment the delicious pizzas Can’t fault the food, experience and value for money and I look forward to coming back

I don't know where to start with this disaster. First, the delivery was painfully late – like, “I could’ve walked to the restaurant faster than they drove here” late. I’m convinced the food came from a far-off land... and by that, I mean the back of a delivery van that hadn’t been cleaned since the 90s. When the food finally arrived, it looked like it had been thrown into the box by someone who hated their life. The fries? Soggy and sad, probably as a result of being undercooked and overcooked at the same time. The burger? It looked like it was assembled by someone who didn’t care if I had taste buds or not – the bun was stale, the patty was a sad, gray lump, and don’t even get me started on the "cheese" that looked more like plastic. The drink was the best part, because at least it was something I could actually drink without gagging. I could’ve sworn I was eating cardboard with a side of disappointment. Next time, I’ll skip the "takeaway" and take a trip to somewhere that knows what they're doing. I wouldn't feed this to my dog. In fact, I think my dog might refuse to eat it out of protest. Avoid this place unless you’re looking for an experience that makes you question all of your life choices.
