The Golden Lion in Wrexham

Golden Lion is wonderful.Staff are amazing and Sian is welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Wheelchair access and warm atmosphere despite the occasion.

We’ve visited the Lion many times over decades of years. The staff are exceptional in all aspects and very friendly. The drinks offered are many, quality and fairly priced. The food is very good and there’s plenty of it.

Just got back from this local pub/restaurant and was not disappointed, lovely friendly barmaid who let us try the very reasonable wine before we purchased..and for £9 something a bottle it was lovely and chilled, had Sunday lunch and couldn’t decide between pork & turkey so the very friendly server let us have both!! The meal arrived quickly and most importantly HOT! Plenty of meat and beautifully cooked veg! It’s not Michelin star food but a good hearty well cooked Sunday roast..we all cleared our plates and had dessertsFor under £50 to have 4 roast dinners and 4 desserts is fantastic value! We will certainly return...Thank you Golden Lion :-)

Fantastic village pub. Had a wonderful meal with family. Great quality food and value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pub tucked away in the village off the main road. Well worth a visit. Looking forward to our next visit.

Visited this evening with my parents and children and the food was lovely Atmosphere and service is really good and will defo visit again and recommend to friends.

Good food n beer would recommend garlic mushrooms and steaks are excellent, good wine and real ales , friendly staff and customers plenty of parking space

Been to this pub quite a few times, the atmosphere is always good. Yesterday i had a sunday roast as well as other food my family had - Absolutely no complaints at all. The food was very reasonably priced and great quality.

Last minute decision to go to Golden Lion Coedpoeth, for an evening meal...was well worth going,definitely go again,food,piping hot,& very tasty, & plenty of it,with great staff, & lovely atmosphere...

Trajo la 4 adolescentes para comer el domingo, fuimos recibidos por el propietario amable y llevado hasta el restaurante, que es luminoso y espacioso. El asado del domingo era delicioso y los niños más jóvenes Disfrutamos las comidas fuera del menú regular. Los postres estaban deliciosos y todo el personal era amable y atento. Recomiendo definitivamente volveremos

Mi esposo, hija menor y yo decidimos pagar nuestro pub local una visita para probar el restaurante recientemente inaugurado. No nos decepcionó! El servicio era muy amable y el menú tenía mucho por ofrecer. Mi marido fue para la morcilla y tocino entrante, que todos hemos probado y estaba delicioso. Para los platos principales que tenía gambas y patatas fritas, que estaban calientes, fresco y sabroso, y mi marido y mi hija tenía una hamburguesa de carne y pollo burger. Toda la comida se servía en busca muy apetecible, de hecho, especialmente los bollos de hamburguesa, que era increíble. No se deja nada de nuestros platos, ya que estaba delicioso, y estábamos tan completo no podía soportar un flan, pero sonaba genial también, por ejemplo, toffees y apple desplomarse. Nada era demasiado esfuerzo para el personal, cuando solicité salsa tartar, fue traído inmediatamente con una sonrisa. Sin duda estar pagando el restaurante una visita de nuevo, ya que quieren probar el almuerzo del domingo, y se lo recomendaré a mis amigos.

Love this pub full of character and to the best customers you could ever ask for. Cask ales are 5 star which wash down the fantastic food on offer
