The Golden Dragon in Inverclyde

Placed order for pick up tools 20.mins nearly an hour later before ready then order is wrong and was told driver would drop of. As away other directions with delivery's. An hour and a half nearly 2 hours later was told driver is just coming back now won't be long so between order and waiting for.correct order nearly 3 hours used to be better not now though

2 and a half hour wait for mediocre food, save your time and money and make a slice of toast instead

Just left it with a special curry and chicken chow mein whats going on no chicken in the chow mein and the special curry is like curry soup no meat will not be back was my favourite Chinese not now

Phoned at 18:26, told delivery would be with me shortly. Phoned back at 19:56 to be told it was the next one out the door. Phoned back again at 20:46 and was told it would be another 45 minutes. Cancelled the order. Absolutely ridiculous.

Love golden dragon but wen u get a large curry sauce its watered down....no taste n just water never again.. will make my own sauce from now on

My wife raves about there curry sauce every time we visit family in Greenock she wants golden dragon curry but me personally think it's over priced for the portions you receive also think it All starts tasting very salty and samey had a special foo Yung dish and was like find the egg but think they do the best prawn crackers and nice hot bags of chips.

Love the curry sauce but a bit pricey

Very simply, over priced, tiny portions. I was charged £9.50 for a breast of chicken curry with fried rice. It was produced in two small tin containers which were shallower than normal and it had no onions in it. Chicken was tough. Curry not as tasty as it used to be.

Always friendly, polite, caring and cheery customer service at Lynedoch Street, the food is always dynamite and properly portioned and presented. The order is usually salt and chilli chicken, salt n chilli chips curry sauce. I also sometimes order a chicken chow mein. The veg such as peppers used in their dinners is always fresh and chips always crispy and not bland or left to go rubbery in a hotplate, Curry sauce can be a tad thick at times but easily solved with some hot water, it's not like the congealed stuff, a lot of the other takeaways will sell you a tub of yungs curry mix with extra cornflower. Been going there for years now and highly recommend their place over anywhere else in Greenock, and the surrounding area for that matter. It's a Five star, A+++ from us. Just moved here and thought id try it maybe be new local chinese... charged £13 odds for a chicken curry ,fr and salt chilli chips. Pick up!. The curry was served in a small rice dish with 5 peices of chicken the salt and chilli chips had no chilli on them.. no peppers or onions mixed threw bit of a joke . Wont be back.

Phoned up with a complaint about the curry tasting like perfume guy said nobody wears perfume so I'm naw gonna help you

Waited 2 hours for the delivery. Food was cold when it arrived. The order was wrong when it was checked.told we would receive the order the next day. No such order ever came. Terrible experience.

Just got a sweat and sour chicken Hong Kong style, batter soggy and no taste. Should have stuck to curry.

It's been taken over, the food is more expensive and bland compared to previous owner.... best avoided if you don't want a tasteless expensive take away . Hings is nearby the food is plentiful and tasty and much more price friendly .

I always use this Chinese but the past few weeks the curry looked different more thicker and didn't have the right taste, but recently went back and it seems the curry is back to normal how it used to be.

Thier really mean with the cuts of meat they use compared to hings admittedly Thier curry sauce is nice but after buying a breast of chicken curry from there and getting it home to discover it was tiny cubes of chicken I won't be back snidey portions of meat

I have always loved this place. Tonight though disappointed no taste to the curry it's watery, the curry was always amazing. Not tonight.

Curry Sauce is Amazing! All the food is delicious. Yes the waiting time is sometimes long but that is only because the golden dragon is so popular. I would have given 5 stars but only for the pacing the floors, phoning them about 5 times to see where your meal is while listening to your weans saying mam where's the tea about a million times lol 😂 Highly Recommended x

I used to use this all the time until a friend went in and called in disgust saying that that door into the kitchen area was open and on the floor was a pile of chicken all out of its packet... clatty if u ask me

Waiting time was farce. Called & advised to pick it up 15 mins. Waited about an hour. Won't be going back.
