The Best Indian in Northern Ireland NO CAP the food is so good my personal favourite Lamb Tikka Main. I absolutely recommend

Great food, but 35mins late, even when pre ordered by near 2 hrs.

Got food delivered. Most of it seems as tho it was sitting and heated before delivery. Chips undercooked, everything cold. Wouldn't recommend.

Excellent food and plenty of it. It's pricey but you get what you pay for I suppose. Highly recommend.

food was freezing chicken tikka mossala, frozen chips .poppadoms,nan bread and 1 portion of chicken wings ..3 small chicken wings for £5.95 Joke Rip-off ..phoned up and complained bout it got reply saying it was meant to be 4 wings lol .was then told i would be refunded never happened. .threw them in the bin and definitely won't be ordering from here again from here 😒

Delivery was 1 hour 35 minutes after ordering. I wasn’t impressed with the food and I wouldn’t recommend. The naan bread was burnt and meals were flavourless. It was £27.50 for 3 items far too expensive for what was delivered.

Was told very soon after ordering that the food was ready to collect but when we arrived we had to wait 10mins for it to be ready. Other than that the food was amazing and really tasty. Would definitely recommend this place and the onion bhajis.

Arrived on time, Pilau rice cold as was Naan bread, disappointed in meal overall, never one to complain as meals always good but tonight's was awful!

Missing items from delivery. No one answered the phone to report so have lost money. Food we had was nice though.

Food is amazing but they forgot to give us a portion of rice and couldn't send another one as drivers were out on deliveries. However, they offered a free meal with my next order.

Ordered three kebabs for delivery. Arrived lukewarm. What was frustrating is that all 3 were the same but one arrived without kebab sauce so was bone dry. Called restaurant, literally couldn’t care less that order was wrong. Have used many times before but won’t bother again.

I basically paid £42 for a takeaway for 5 bits of lamb and sauce! Ridiculous!! I ordered lamb dhansak, chicken vindaloo, 2 naans and rice...£42!!! I'll never eat out of there again

Food was beautiful and there was a lot of it however the delivery was late and when it did arrive, the food was cold . not cool, not luke warm but absolutely freezing I had to put the chips in the oven and microwave everything else.

Haven't actually had from here before, usually get from another place in Ards but I think we might actually change to here now. Food was really tasty. Wish it had of been a bit warmer temperature but it was a Saturday night so I'm sure they were busy. Balti mossala was class!

Don't give out free poppadoms anymore and 5 pounds for a tub of sauce you could get a meal for that price, think il go else where now

Very little chicken in the order … for nearly £30 I was left still hungry and that was 2 courses each…very little meat. Collection was good can’t complain but for the cost I don’t think I would eat here again plus the bajis seemed as though they had been pre cooked and just heated up before collection.

The portion sizes are just getting ridiculous ordered a korma and got about 5 bits of chicken had it ate in 5 mins and was asked did I get a half portion lol same with the madras it was small aswell didn't fill us be going else where from now on

Unfortunately after years of ordering, tonight’s take away was terrible. 2/3 full container of mushroom rice, onion bhaji’s not fully cooked and the kids played find the chicken in a container of sauce. Expensive and disappointing for what we paid and received.

Added color, bad smelling food, probably used oil, and unbalanced taste was not a total surprise. Plus the service is far from courteous. Even if it is wrong order, how can food smell bad and have added color? Thank you for proving me point that your service is just as pathetic as your food prep.

Sat in here recently, food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. It’s been said before and it’ll be said again, the naan bread is the business! Alcohol isn’t sold here but bring something with you just.

You probably have not been here to sit in for years but it's open again and BYO, possibly the best nan bread ever and the food was great. Also 20% off the main menu for March and an early bird menu Sunday to Friday £14.95 worth a try.

Never been disappointed with the quality of the food,1st class , but had to wait almost 2hrs for delivery, can only assume its because we live outside Newtownards .

Absolutely shocking customer service will not be back again !!! Late collection time by 35 min , meal missing and when I phoned to tell them my reply was can I add it on to your next order !!!! No apology from either the restaurant or the delivery driver !!! Very disappointed ☹️

Food was lovely . I ordered this last Saturday also...only thing I'm disappointed in is I ask for sauces (80p each) to be filled to the top...1 red sauce was only half filled. So only got 40p worth....

Order was a little late but was definitely worth the wait! Will be back

Fabulous food, worth every penny!!

Tandoori chicken main - tasteless and bland compared to other Indians I have had. Served with salad which is just a bag of lettuce. Other places include tomatoes, cucumbers and lemon. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back.

Food was rushed and and chips were cold with sauce just solid and splattered in the middle of the salad. Nann bread burnt and cold not sealed in the bag properly. Not impressed at all with boxing day order. I called and wanted to make a complaint to be left on hold whilst another order was taken. When I was spoken to i was offered Free naans the next time I ordered. There will not be a next time. I want a full refund the food the went in the bin. Ruining the end of Christmas for my family.

Best Indian food in Newtownards. You must go to the restaurant to get the curry straight from the wok BYO. Take away is good too for a night in the house.

Cold food - I think on the face of it the food was fairly priced, the delivery time seemed reasonable but when it arrived it was cold which really ruined it to be honest. I’ve had from the Ganges before without any major incident but will be giving it a miss for a while going forward I think

Order was accepted quickly and delivered as scheduled. Chicken was perfectly cooked and just fell apart but korma sauce had spilled all over the bag so wasn’t ideal for serving.

Orders two starters. Chichen tandoori very poor no chicken on the bone at all, other starter was tasteless

We were only visiting the area & were unsure of where to order from so chose The Ganges based on the reviews. So glad we did as the food & service was excellent.

Always nice food and great staff. BYO seven days a week which keeps cost of dining out lower. Not very busy but will hopefully pick up.

Never disappointed, consistantly good

Beautiful food, great delivery service and a really varied menu. So many dishes to choose from and a full description of ingredients and spice level. I have never had to wait longer than 30 mins even at weekends. The Ganges is a rarity in Newtownards, one of the best takeaways in the town.

The staff were warm and welcoming. The food was delicious.

Going here for regularly for 20 years. Has got progressively poorer in last couple of years...used to be the best Indian by far....now madras tastless and watery...cut back on chicken, poppadoms and dips but on the flip side have hiked the prices on a takeaway meal....sad to say but disgusting....no more chances in the hope that the food will return to the previous high standard..Will not be back...
