The Fox Inn Hawkesbury Upton in South Gloucestershire

Woderful inn with great hospitality. Close to the Cotswolds Way. David and his wife took excellent care of us. They went out of their way to provide us with a hearty dinner and very full continental breakfast.

We booked a table at the Fox after checking that they could offer a vegan alternative dish for my mum. All the staff were very helpful and the food arrived very promptly. All our meals were lovely, the portions on the large side, in fact I could not finish mine! The onion rings ordered by my husband were amazing (more like a bracelet!!). The dessert menu looked really good but sadly no room!! We will definitely be back Thank you

My partner and I stayed here whilst walking the Cotswolds Way. It was in a fantastic location whilst walking the Way and Dave the new manager was very friendly and accommodating. Although the rooms are a bit dated, our room was comfortable. Both our evening meal and the continental breakfast were of a high standard. We wish Dave and his team the very best for the future.

Just left after a fantastic stay. The room and TV area very satisfactory for family. The evening meal was beautiful and Dave made us very welcome. Breakfast was also very good with great choices. At last a Landlord and Landlady who know how a village pub should be run. The real ales are excellent and Proper Job is back on due too popular demand. My wife and I have just had an evening meal, both of which were cooked by new chef Trevor. My Fox burger was without doubt one of the best burgers I have ever eaten and that's including the ones I make myself. Please don’t be put off by recent negative reviews. The pub has had three different managers in the last six weeks and fingers crossed Dave and Chantel will be able to give the village back the pub we deserve and used to have. I understand that the accommodation was double booked recently. Unfortunately this was due to a problem with Booking.com not informing the previous manager.

A lovely overnight stay with great caring hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was warm and comfortable and residents lounge had nice touches. Evening meal had limited menu but hot nicely cooked and no waiting. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.
