The First & Last Inn in Scottish Borders

The room hadn’t been serviced. Booked for dinner but restaurant closed. A complete disaster and still waiting for a refund!

Never been here! It's closed for the foreseeable future.

Booked accommodation as they advertised a restaurant. Arrived, restaurant closed. No one available to book in or book out. Lied about saying they had emailed to say restaurant was closed. Refused reimbursement even though I escalated the complaint through Booking.com No dinner or breakfast in the local area. No information as to where we could eat. Terrible customer service Still advertising availability of restaurant on the website and in the bedrooms

Nice overnight b&b. Excellent Sunday roast

Stayed hear for one night and all I can say it made the holiday for us all the food was fantastic and stayed in the accommodation for 8 of us it was clean warm and just lovley staff where all grate and could not help anough all in all it was a grate pit stop for the night.

All dark and closed. Restaurant closed. Nobody to hand over the keys to the rooms. Only the coincidence of several fortunate circumstances resulted in a sufficient end result.

Good location and friendly service for a light lunch en route north.

Fantastic Sunday roast! The best I've had in years.

Sunday dinner, lovely. Midweek menu equally so. Had to take some cake away for later. Friendly staff.

Sunday Afternoon Tea. Lovely pub offering Afternoon Teas. Nice selection of sandwiches (crusts off) and platter full of cakes. Good value. Good Service. And added bonus - dogs are allowed in the bar.

Just had the wagyu burger this has to be the best burger I've had very tasty service was very good had a friendly chat but not over the top like a lot of places I've got nothing to complain about the meal or the service so it was well worth the visit highly recommended

Was closed when we dropped in for Dinner on Sunday 21 April. Couldn’t find opening hours on their website and none currently on Google maps.

We stopped by a couple of weeks ago when just over Scottish Border - researching book. We had some drinks and starters - wonderful calimari amongst them. Dog friendly and lovely ambience. When we were in Berwick a day later we couldn't find a dog friendly place for lunch - (places say dog friendly but only offer 1 table and these were taken in the places I tried!) So we returned to a warm welcome at The First and Last Inn. We had fish n chips (fresh and delish) and a madras home made curry. Great place and we will make a point of returning when next in area.

Went for Sunday lunch, which was beautiful, huge plateful. Lovely beef. Great service. Will definitely be back.

Incredible food. Massive portions which more than compensates for the price. Food was glorious, we went for an early mother's day meal and I had the teriyaki chicken, husband had chicken burger and mother in law had fish and chips. All portions were massive and we're perfectly cooked and filling. No kids menu but they can customise main menu to kids portions which is brill and my kids both thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

Popped in a few times for drinks when staying locally, such friendly staff. Dog friendly too. Did not try the food but it looked very good. Well worth popping in if you're passing.

We were put in a cold dining room, where staff kept going back and forth to a store cupboard, our food order was taken but no drinks were offered, food was OK but not great, won't be going back

delish meal, very generous amount for the meals, staff were very lovely and amazing service. definately visit again
