We stopped here for coffee and cake. I had a locally made croffin (croissant and muffin cross) which was delicious. My husband had a ganola bar also very good and packed with fruit and nuts. Dog friendly as well. Staff were also very friendly

Nice place to pop in and sit down to a delicious coffee. Plenty of drinks available, but freshly made cakes quickly run out. Good range of snacks and lunches available for different dietary needs. Also offer a good range of jams, pickles, chutneys etc for taking home.

What an absolute delight!! I’d been meaning to pop in for a while and it was my parents coming across to take me out for lunch that proved to be the perfect excuse to visit. I’ll be completely honest, for the first fifteen minutes I wasn’t sure what was happening and it all seemed a little bit unorganised and slow and we started to worry as we were on a deadline to begin with. However... it soon came to light that it was pretty much a one woman show with some help from a lady that had some learning difficulties and wasn’t particularly comfortable front of house. From that moment we realised what a special place it was. We each ordered the soup and a sandwich for £3.50 and I expected to get a small serving of each as you do with other places, but no the portions were generous and the soup was delicious and the sandwiches filled to the brim! Two of us ordered the alpine fries and they were exquisite also. It had such a welcoming feel to the cafe, the food was delicious, the service was so friendly and the cafe was immaculate. We were also impressed with the different varieties of things such as chutneys, curds, jams and flours that were available for purchase. All items were sourced from within the UK and again were reasonably priced. We overheard the lady running the cafe saying that she will be open next week on Christmas Day to offer lunch to those who need it for free... and that sums up what a special place this is. Yes you need to go and enjoy the setting while not on the clock as we found out, but it all truly is worth the wait and I can’t wait to go back!!

Lovely range of food and drinks with something for everyone. All the food is handmade fresh to serve as well as offering a variety of other products which are perfect to take home or give to someone as a gift. The staff are extremely welcoming, and give a great atmosphere to the cafe. Definitely a place where you can go and come away with new friends.

Stopped by for quick drinks when visiting Hucknall. Good coffee, green tea and a cold can. Friendly staff, prompt service and also bought a Byron coaster designed by the owner's daughter. Worth a visit.

We arrived at the fig leaf to be greeted by lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for us. We had the warmest and largest pot of tea we’ve ever had ( between 2) and I ordered the full breakfast. The breakfast was better ( for £4.50 including 2 large chunks of toast) than many breakfasts we’ve had for double the price we paid. All food was boiling and looked to be sourced locally ( again amazing for the price we paid). This cafe/ deli deserves a chance! Park in the cheap car park across road and give it an hour of your time. We will be back in favour of many places we normally visit.

Popped in here while in Hucknall. Excellent sausage and bacon sandwich, far better than anything Costa had to offer! Sharon was very friendly and helpful with our one-year-old son. Great selection of teas!

Whether you fancy a tasty wholesome quiche, a salad, a slice of the best cake you've ever eaten or just a quiet coffee, this is the place for you. Cool and calm decor, friendly staff and changing menu. Go for a chat, go for laugh and a joke or go for a few quiet moments. You'll love it and keep going back.
