The Exchange in Norwich

I took my teen Grandson for lunch it was delicious and the servings were generous ,the waiters were so helpful and welcoming

Lots of toppings and thin pizza. Really nice place for a bite.

Gluten free vegan, only choice margarita with GF base, no option to add veggies🙁. What arrived was barely cooked round the edges, base was raw in the middle. Overall, not the standard you expect in Jarrolds. The waitress was amazing, I’m sorry I didn’t get her name, but she offered to get me another or not charge, customer service at its best but come on Jarrolds please cater for those of us who are gluten free vegan!!

My husband and I had a great lunch here - the food was excellent and the service was very attentive. Will be back to try more of the yummy food.

One of life’s treats, lovely atmosphere, really friendly staff and beautiful food, lunchtimes never get any better. The baked haddock pasta bake caused food envy from my wife, it was stunning. Amber deserves a mention, an asset to Jarrolds We will be back, thank you

First time user of this restaurant having moved to norfolk last year. Easy online booking. Warm welcome on arrival and even though we were 30 mins early this was no issue. Excellent service from the lady who served us. Tops marks for the 3 dishes - Gnochi, gauchos and pizza with extra marks for the pizza being GF. Price for 3 lunches with drinks - a reasonable £42 Will certainly be returning. Highly recommended

The exchange is a great addition to the city centre... Relaxed but with a bit of glamour! Lovely food and the staff are excellent, very professional and incredibly friendly.....

Simple meal, really enjoyed, top quality, top service - will be back asap and recommend!

I love the Exchange. Great fresh food most of which is also offered gluten-free. The pizza is scrumptious. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Great atmosphere and definitely worth a visit.

Arrived towards the end of their service (c2.30pm). Staff charming + ordered we two hot drinks and two cakes. Drinks were average - weak hot chocolate and weak coffee - I recognise that there may be an issue of personal preference here. The scone ('baked this morning') was past its best + the velvet cake was lacking in character. When we were finished, I stood to pay/leave (all the staff with out back) - and I was told to sit down again by the staff member who then came out with a card reader. £13.50. We were not asked if we had enjoyed our drinks/cakes.

It's a great place! My partner and I went there for lunch. The food was fantastic, great service and amazing wines. Strongly recommended the place. We will definitely go back!

Had lunch there on Sunday. An excellent roast. Pork with crackling, a good and plentiful selection of vegetables including cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire pud and plenty of gravy all served with a smile. Very good value. Will go again.

The Exchange is only three weeks into its new look. It used to be the Metro and in that guise it appealed to the common folk of Norwich to the extent one could hardly ever find a table to sit at. The new name Exchange is quite pertinent as Jarolds' clearly want to exchange their old client base for a more upmarket, more affluent clientele. I went today at 11ish aka coffee time and was stunned by the change in the ambient atmosphere. Gone was the hustle and bustle of the Metro with the cheery looks, now we have a sleek cosmopolitan eatery that exudes middle class attributes giving it a psychological barrier at its entrance. As a consequence there were plenty of places to sit. We had two coffees which cost £5.80, much more than three weeks ago. However they tasted fabulous. It's not a place I will be rushing back to as I want a different experience when drinking my coffee. The staff are now much younger as well, bless them. More hip I expect. Lovely people though.
